I don’t usually subscribe to comments like these but I’m really pissed off after that performance so I’m going to say it anyway: Why isn’t this in the match thread? sorry (not sorry). No dont be sorry - I didn’t realise how important you were. I should be sorry. (But I’m not)

Hogg and Zanka couldn't pass the ball five yards today.
Arnautavic will never have an easier game, Zanka dived in, got way too tight every time and just kept getting spun off.
Add in the inexplicable pass that Lössl played to Lolley (who looked every bit the League One player that he really is today, aside from the goal) and it was a shitshow from start to finish.

Couple of things which I noticed; • mooy would pass then move next to the person he had passed to, cutting down their options and space. • mooy Would ignore Pritchard in space then carry the ball near to him (congesting the area) then play it to him. • Pritchards set pieces were ten times better than others we have had • Malone was running into the box at every opportunity leaving us vulnerable at the back • there seems to be a belief that we can only turn into an attack if we are camped on the edge of their area, rather than look to cut through them. Malone often charges forward forgetting the big hole he is leaving behind him.

Artaunovic second only to Kane in quality players we've seen at JSS this season. Eriksson, Mane, de bruyne Eriksen was poor.

I'm sorry but Tommy Smith is nowhere near good enough at this level. He was atrocious today and has been for slot of this season. We need a quality right back.
Today was very poor and the insistence we have at playing the ball out from the back serves nothing other than to invite pressure onto ourselves and keeps us nowhere near the opposition goal.

The fact is you can’t have 8 or 9 players all having bad games and expect to win in the premier league

He can put a better ball in and doesn't dwell on the ball in dangerous areas like Smith does. Smith is a very good championship player but I'm sorry he is not good enough in this league

There's nothing wrong with playing the ball out from the back as long as it is done sensibly and the ball is worked forward through the team. Our problems today were passing out when it wasn't on, and continually going backwards and sideways in our own half. We didn't look forward enough. The tactic is OK, but the way we implement it is lacking.

Artaunovic second only to Kane in quality players we've seen at JSS this season. Eriksson, Mane, de bruyne We haven't played Liverpool at home yet! As good as De Bruyne has been this season (best player in Prem), Man City didn't tear us apart by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe I should have been more specific in saying that Artaunovic did more damage to our defence than any other player in the games we've played at home this season. I've no doubt they'll be purring over him on MotD, and will probably say that apart from the first goal, there wasn't much stopping the Hammers no. 7 today.

Let's call it what it is to a man the starting 11 didn't preform today. We were so lacklustre it was embarrassing

13th in the Premier League and we need an autopsy? Sorry rocky. That’s the type of attitude that will see us relegated. Today was a big game and we got thumped Stoke away then the bin dippers and man ure Leaving us s six game run where we will really need to pick up four or five wins. I’m now getting worried. Sorry but we are now in trouble

Arnoutovic Wouldn't have done any damage to our defence if we had 11 men behind the ball like we did against City. Imagine if we had given De Bruyne the kind of room we Noble, Sterling the kind of room we gave Lanzini and Aguero the kind of room we gave Arnie. It would have been double figures

I'm not trying to say he's a better player than the superstars at City or Spurs, but today he put in a world class performance and tore us apart. Sometimes you've just got to tip ya hat and say - 'Well played, Sir' - instead of witch hunting the likes of Zanka and Tommy Smith.

Passing - Woeful Ball retention - Woeful Giving the ball away in dangerous areas - Excellent Substitutions (timings) - terrible Honestly, why start Lolley? It's only to put him in the shop window, so he scored a goal, but fuck me! Pritchard should be starting, never mind putting him on the bench. Football is a simple game, he doesn't need to watch for 65 minutes, he's match fit for Gods sake. Start him. Why wait until 65 minutes to make a substitution?!?! 4-1 down! No point at this stage. Gifted 2 goals and looked terrible. It's going to be a long remainder of the season unless things change. Embarrassing today. Poor all-round. I don't blame those fans that left before the 80th minute at all. Actually our ball retention was ok.Yes we did give the ball away and it cost us two goals but your comments regarding Pritchard and lolley are out of order.but you are expressing a point of view but in what was a good game we were beaten by the better side but we played some good stuff ourselves. And your comment that you don't blame fans who left early I will leave that for others to judge.

I’ve channeled Malcom Tucker to review today’s fucking OMNISHAMBLES. Beware, there’s s lot of profane language and violent sexual imagery... bit.ly/2AVDjU1Pretty much on the money there except the bit about Depoitre who suffers from a chronic lack of service.

Sorry but we are now in trouble We need to do everything and anything that is humanly possible to ensure Stoke do not beat us - a draw is the minimum requirement ideally we take all three points. Realistically we shouldnt expect anything from the bin dippers or manu. If Stoke beat us we will be up to our necks in the relegation zone.

They played 8 defensive players and 2 forward thinking players yet we still allowed situations where they had 2 against 2 in dangerous areas. We know that individually they are better than us so why leave it 2 v 2. As soon as we start to chase a game we fall apart.

And what is up with Mooy? He just looks so off the pace and lethargic. When Pritchard came on I though he had something that most of the team don’t seem to have - urgency.
Smith is so poor it’s untrue. We need to be be faster and have our heads up - look to play forwards instead of this endless fucking about with it in front of our own goal.
We didn’t even look championship quality at the back today. Awful.

One positive from today. We can't possibly play as poorly against Stoke next Saturday. Knew I'd find one if I searched long enough. ;-)

When are we just going to select the best 11 players.... ffs lolley/smith/malone should have been nowhere near that team today with the players we have availiable. For me it has to be Lossl Hadajonaj Zanka Schinds Kongolo hogg mooy RVLP (although how he is playing in the prem is beyond me... he needs replacing next) Pritchard Ince Depoitre There is no question that, that is the best team we can put out... fucking pritchard on the bench??? . Smith starting... WTFF. Malone playing above league 1.... WTFFF. Wagner to blame today... got it all wrong and our tactics were shocking with aurnautavic and lanzini ripping us a new one. On to stoke. but thats as bad a performance as i have seen town give. EVER and ive seen some dark days. One shot on goal. FFFFFFS

Artaunovic second only to Kane in quality players we've seen at JSS this season. Eriksson, Mane, de bruyne I made the mistake of saying at HT that Schindler had him in his pocket ! Schindler went through him with his knee on one challenge after which MA seemed to disappear. Can’t believe that start to the second half. What might have been.....

We’ve got a full back problem. If Wagner starts Smith next game, I’ll start believing Smiths got hold dodgy pictures. Got to be Flo and maybe Kongolo next game. Pritchard looked promising. Definitely brings something different. It’s still fun living the dream. Need a Bloody Striker ! New Right Back ! Awful Team Selection by Wagner Today !

Spineless, gutlless, beaten before a ball was kicked, embarrassing. Oh and to bring the most gifted footballer we will have at our Club at 4-1 down. A motivation masterstroke. Fuck me.
Look, we have done so well so far but equally, we are allowed to call a day for what it is and that was unacceptable. Tactics to win (not)l, Team selection, entertainment (zero). All wrong.
We move on.
