I thought we were poor yesterday, no real penetration, no one prepared to run through the middle of the park, and certainly not direct enough, we were too predictable, pass it to malone who will pass it to vlp, attempt to cross, who can’t get it pass the first man, win back possession, Hogg will pass it to Schindler, who passes to Zanka who then passed to hadajoni, who can cross accurately. No plan B, 28 shots, 4 on target. Mooy dictated the slow pace and we weren’t direct or aggressive enough, needed to be more fearless. On a positive note I think Lossel made no mistakes today

No way will they appeal, completely futile. Stranger things have happened though but If they do appeal, no way will the decision be reversed. It was a red, Hogg's leg could have been broken.

Scapegoat Malone provided one moment of class with a superb cross across the box that just needed tapping in, an absolute gift for a centre forward. Don’t come in here posting reasonable comments like that!

You only had to watch the brief highlights on match of the day to see how average a player he is. He will run at the full back, cut inside, get all confused and turn around and then play an overhit 5 yard pass to someone stood close by. I'm surprised at just how poor he is for a player that made team of the year last season in the Championship. His performances do tie in with what supporters of his other clubs aside from Fulham say about him

Dominant display by Town. Deeply frustrating outcome ... but had Mounie's screamer flown in, Malone connected, Ince's header been redirected by inches etc, all the 'analysis' on this board would have been completely and utterly different. We did more than enough to win in one of the most one-sided games of football I've ever seen. Thank f*** Swansea didn't sneak a winner! It felt like it could have been one of those days.

Where is Hogg supposed to put his foot? It happened that quick he can't possibly have known that Ayew's leg was going to be where he planted his foot

Majority will point out his weaknesses rather than give a balanced view point. We’re in this together.

Really unlucky not to score today and the first goal could easily have opened the floodgates. Swansea did what they had to do, defend well and hope for a bit of luck. On another day one of Mounié's three efforts,Ince's header, Schindler's header or Malone's chance goes in and we end up winning comfortably. Just unfortunate that today wasn't another day. The trouble is there aren't that many other days left.

underachieving is ok with you, we will live with your low standards??? nah... I'm talking about how the stats are reported - it's factual. Not sure what you're on about, just more of your rambling nonsense I guess. Apart from the four shots on target we had two that hit the woodwork, Schindler and Mounie with headers that JUST cleared the bar, Flo's second hand curving shot and Hogg's piledriver that were both a whisker away, Malone just failing to connect with that cross with a gaping goal, the Malone cross that beat everybody in the box and was just begging for a tap-in...I could go on, but if you just want to see "Shots 30, on target 4" then you crack on, fella. Difficult to argue with a 'nearly did this' and 'almost got it right' argument.. because its not an argument its an excuse.. you make chances to score goals, if you dont score with all that possesion and all those attempts its a failure, if it isnt to you and you dont set your standards higher then fair enough, we are now arguing about what we find acceptable from well paid professional sportsmen.. given swansea didnt attempt to get up the pitch from the 11th minute onwards the possession stats are pretty much null and void and the attempts in relation to the number on target are shitty. Just being honest about my team that missed out on a great opportunity, I dont buy into 'its harder to play 10 than 11', its footballspeak used after a game where a team fail to take advantage, thats all..

Whilst I feel there are good points being made on each side here I certainly think that in many ways it would have been easier against 11 . I know Carlos is defensive but with 11 there would surely have been far more space to utilise as opposed to looking up and seeing eight big lumps and a keeper in front of you . Devoid of any ambition to get upfield. Fair play to the Swans they did a job on us and we were far too predictable and pedestrian . One goal would have opened it up and we could have gone on to win big . But most neutrals would agree a draw was the fair result I reckon

The first 20/25 yards of attacking against deep defending has to be sharp and direct or you are just pushing onto the massed ranks.. The ball finally got slid into a runner down the edges of the box after Col came on, you have to work hard to be offside against deep defending and we failed to capitalise.. Slow build up f-cked us up and waiting till the 3 big lads had got settled and organised every time was a desperate thing to watch at times as they won 2 headers a few times from the same crosses? Pritchard comes deeper to get the ball and turns, at no time did mooy or even hogg get forward of him and run past him into the box.. we never got mooy coming down the centre with the ball with either of the others running forward of him.. posession became mainly for its own sake, might have been useful once or twice to let them carry the ball out to halfway and try a few forward passes? when the game gets odd like it did yesterday you have to try something different, we carried on regardless for too long..

We cant pretend that dave did go more direct right at the end by taking mooy and pritchard off, it was just too late.. Swansea defended our 'plan' very well but we helped them out, if we pretend otherwise we may well join the ranks of 'blaming something else' for a poor result.. We had 80 minutes but the truth is that the ball was not in their box enough in that time. as has been stated earlier nobody has had that much possession without scoring before, thats more of an embarrassing record to carry than anything else?

Ignoring a few of last night’s posts, which were clearly alcohol fuelled, I have to say there is a pretty poor grasp of the game of football on display on this forum. “ We were shit today “ and such comments. I’ve gotta ask, what level of debate or response were you expecting to get from that moronic post. Town were solid, kept the ball well, were constantly creating chances and completely stopped any attacking opportunity from the opposition, something the same illiterate and ignorant posters were saying we were poor at last week. Simple question: Had one of the two efforts which hit the woodwork gone in and we had come away with 3 points, would you still post nonsense like “ we were shit today” No. Emotional, bed wetting and ignorant response to a result says much more about the poster than the Huddersfield Town performance yesterday. I seriously doubt many of the worst offenders on this forum ever attend a fixture in person.

Fine margins in this game, just didn’t go our way.

Pardew at WBA this morning is questioning his teams desire.... now that is something to moan about, not what we have here in bucket loads! Playing against ten men who only had one thought to stay in their own half most of the game is not easy as some on here think.

Playing against ten men who only had one thought to stay in their own half most of the game is not easy as some on here think. you dictate the game if you pull the opposition around and you constantly have them under 'real pressure' in front of their goal..most of yesterdays 'defending' took place outside or on the periphery of their box.. the crosses went in for mounie V 3 big defenders.. they crabbed from side to side more than anything else, all the 'running' was done by our players and the one bloke they sort of left upfield.. They dictated the game and we went along for the majority of it.. no one ever said it was easy to play against 10 men but continuing the slow build up and the side to side to side passing didnt help us at all.. you have to change what you do if the opposition totally change their gameplan as happened yesterday.. I was surprised, pleasantly, that they didnt support one or two of their punts upfield during the game, they might well have sneaked a goal.. the lack of communication at our end was fairly worrying on the very odd occasion it came into our half..

At one point in the second half we had 4 men passing it along the half way line with no swansea player near them: zanka, hogg, schindler and mooy. Something wrong there. even with 11 against 11, when the opposition is defending mostly you need your midfield players in midfield involved in attacks and ready to run beyond their back line. Hogg got man of the match: but all he did was sit in the centre circle and play easy passes to Flo, while unchallenged. He did it well, but it was an example of where many find Wagner's tactics are hard to understand.
