Everyone calling for Wagners head is an utter moron and hasn’t the slightest clue about what it means to coach football. Fuck off Exactly, how is Schindler's mistake, Zanka penalty and Mounie twatting it over the bar Wagners fault? I suppose it's his fault Mooy and Hogg are injured as well? Wagner is responsible for their performance, good or bad. Underperforming businesses will always change their managers before the workers.

He's right - they are. As much as I think he is too defensive at times, he wasn't the one passing the buck and going back to the keeper all the time.......some of those players today were way off what's required. Wagner carries the can - all managers do, but he is right to be disappointed in a good few today who let him down. Sadly when you take mooy and Hogg out we have little or no drive centrally at all and out wide we are far and away the worst in the league. You can't make one good prem wide man from sobhi mbenza vlp diakhaby quaner and kachunga put together. You're right Shawsie - Wagner wasn't the one actually passing back to the keeper every time, BUT they do that week in week out - it's the default position of nearly all our players - and seems to me to be coached into them relentlessly. It's a team that lacks any type of flair and seems to play to this sterile pattern week in week out, regardless of whether our opponents have taken the lead yet. If it was one or two players then I would blame them, but it's not - from Flo to Schindler, Mooy to Bacuna. Newcastle took the lead and after that I don't think their goalie had a save to make. Southampton the same - another dozen(?) games the same that's not the players, that the coaching and set up. I know what you are saying....and increasingly I find it difficult to argue but today wasn't him for me. The players copped out and didn't have the mental strength to change things. The subs were strange as was the tactical intransigence at times .... but he can't play for them. We were sloppy half arsed and insipid right from the start.

Doesn't make it the wrong decision. Look at Southampton as an example. Under Hughes we would have done them. They saw they needed to change manager and look at them now.

Leadership, motivation and passion comes from the manager. I have a good view of the dug out and I just don't see it these days. It used to be there in abundance but sadly not now.

Time to go, i'm afraid. Never wanted it to come to this but we need to face what's in front of us. We will definitely be relegated if he remains manager. I know, some of you will be fine with that, as "we shouldn't be here in the first place." But, He now has 4 wins in his last 30 competitive games, that's simply dreadful. Fresh ideas are needed, the team is devoid of all confidence, his tactics are stale, what is he currently offering us?
Thanks for the memories, Dave.

We've been crap for quite some time now, bar the odd game. our home record is inexcusable.

You could put Klopp in charge of these players and we would get relegated once out of every two seasons in the premier league, as they are quite simply as a collective not good enough.

We had the chance to address that in the summer of 2017, January 2018 and last summer. Unfortunately there has been a lot of money wasted on players nowhere near good enough I'm not sure whether he should stay or go but when you look at the stats for 2018 and that he is on 100k a week, it's quite hard to defend him

Man for man, how many of our squad would you say are better than Southampton? For 2 years, wagner has managed to get a silk purse from a sows ear. Now reality is catching up with us and you want to blame and sack him? If he'd kept us up the first year, nearly got to the play offs the second year and Been solid top 10 in championship you'd be hailing him as a hero. But cos we end up there via spell in the premier league he's crap? Give your head a shake.

Long term I’m still of the opinion DW is the man to lead HTAFC forward as a club. Right now he’s struggling, badly. Methinks Dean Hoyle will prioritise long term over the here and now. Even so, I think DH should be seeking assurances from DW now about the future and to act in the long term interests of HTAFC.

As for sacking him, I don't 'want' him to be sacked. I just think it might be time to change things. Whether or not we do is nowt to do with me or you. If we stick we go down (unless we can pull some cracking deals in January). I'll also remind you I was one of (if not the first) on here to suggest he'd get us to the premier league. You are correct in your assertion he has done well with limited resources, but I will remind you of this summers transfer business and the monies spent.

I agree with this, As things stand right now we are nailed on for relegation, If Wagner can both publically and privately assure Deano and us the Fans that he will stay with Town should the worse happen to try and mount a challenge back to the prem then I would stick with him, If he is unable to provide Deano with this commitment before January then I would take steps to replace him, Because as things stand he's taking us down.

OK ill accept what you say, but to me your post is effectively advocating we sack him. Especially as you use Southampton'recent sackings as an example of things improving for their team.

Yes, it’s a two-way street and I think DW will fully understand that. I also get the impression their relationship means they should be able to have that conversation.

I would not trust the present to waste anymore money especially when looking at those dreadful summer signings .
Any eventual parachute payments must be spent wisely ,and Wagner looked a broken man today with a broken team

Another awful display 0 points from Newcastle & Southampton at home is unacceptable. The writing was on the wall from the Cardiff home game Wagner who confirmed he had the final say on transfers has took us backwards this season we will be lucky to finish 19th this season

Fuck off Exactly, how is Schindler's mistake, Zanka penalty and Mounie twatting it over the bar Wagners fault? I suppose it's his fault Mooy and Hogg are injured as well? The players play for him week in week out at maximum effort. The most fitting way to judge a coach along with having an identity which we evidently also have.

Except, you need to take into account. - limited budget, thank god. - small squad. - A manger still learning his trade. - An owner, team and manager who has given us more than we dare dream for.

Completely agree and if DH does stick by him then I think some new faces in the backroom staff wouldn't be a bad idea. Freshen things up a bit, bring in a specialist attacking coach. Guardiola has one and Southgate brought one in for England.

Can we have some serious recommendations as to who we think we could get to replace Wagner. I could throw loads of names at you; the likes of Carvahal etc or ones who are abroad and untested similar to Southampton's new manager. But personally, moyes
