Sad day will always be a legend but don’t see it as a bad thing.
Fingers crossed it’s Jokanovic and not some journeyman who’s going to bankrupt us.

We need whomever was responsible for the summer recruitment to leave as well (assuming it wasn’t him).

Reading the statement makes more sense now actually. If he isn't going to be here next year we may as well make the change now.

Massive shame and if he’s been sacked then it’s another bad decision from the club. Mutual consent in this case I think means just that Legend!

What now? Back to League One in two years? This is not good news. I am so disappointed and with the small matter of playing the oil sheikhs on Sunday. City are going to be on the receiving end of a "new manager bounce".

Says in article he needed a break from management. Seems like his heart wasn't in it any longer... Was told last week his wife was looking at houses back in Germany. Thought it was just talk, maybe he was right!

Yeah let’s get Jokanovic so we can defend like Fulham. They were class in the championship. And that’s what we need to be preparing for now.

Dean: “As I had said previously, I had no intention of sacking David this season. Subsequently David – being the great man he is – came to us and made it clear that he needs a break from the rigours of football management."

Maybe the pressure became too much, he may have thought he was letting people down. Maybe his family saw a change in him and his mood and he thought it wasn't worth it anymore. Maybe he or his family started missing home.
Management is the best job in the world when you're winning and the most stressful and loneliest when you're not.
Always be a legend and wish him all the luck in the future

I reckon the bookies just have a hat full of names they roll out every single managerial sacking... Wouldn't want Allardyce anywhere near the club - he's not one for the long term for me...

Why don't people read the Town statement before slating people?
Sad to see him go but he was clearly feeling the pressure. If he was not going to stay next season it makes much more sense to leave now. Does not do anything to help the hopeless situation we are in but gives the next guy some time to assess what we need.

Genuinely gutted by this news. I am not ashamed to say I had a tear in my eye when I heard.
A true legend who will never be forgotten for what he has done for our club.

Jokanovic is the stand out candidate surely
Ignore this season. He had a load of expensive dross thrown at him. Had he stuck with the core of the team who got them up and Cairney had stayed fit then they would be a lot better off
They were quality two years running in the Championship and he didn't spend much
