My 9 year old daughter went to her first game because of you David Wagner, I cant thank you enough just for that alone. A true Town legend.

Bloody quitter! Support your team through good times and bad - we don't need "supporters" like you. Goodbye. (Reply to Ian Dunn Terrier)

Do we give more credence from this post last night from brickthespecial, now: I heard it mentioned yesterday that in Deano's absence, Olaf Rebbe and Wagner have clashed repeatedly in the past few weeks and are poles apart on strategy and recruitment. Sadly this evening I'm hearing he has decided to go under his own steam. Really hope this isnt the case but there appears to be rumours now of a morning press conference so likely. Jokanovic is the stand out candidate surely Ignore this season. He had a load of expensive dross thrown at him. Had he stuck with the core of the team who got them up and Cairney had stayed fit then they would be a lot better off They were quality two years running in the Championship and he didn't spend much My choice too. And, like you say, it sounds very much like he did not want the signings from the summer.

Managers come & managers go. In my lifetime only 3 have left the club in a better position than they inherited. Wagner the best manager we've ever had ? I don't know but for me he's in the top one.

Seems somehow wrong that he didn't and won't get a proper send off. I suspect he'll get the odd chant in the next game.

Thankyou for the memories, honestly.
This is the correct decision for all concerned.

I reckon the bookies just have a hat full of names they roll out every single managerial sacking... Wouldn't want Allardyce anywhere near the club - he's not one for the long term for me... Who is long term managerial material in the football league? Think Wagner has just proved it's not a long term game. Howe being the only notable exception to the rule off the top of my head. Why anyone wouldn't want a manager who has a proven track record of saving clubs is beyond me. FWIW I think we are far too gone already with little time to recruit... But if he would take the reigns now he's clearly up for it and deserves support.

Very disappointed by this news and the way that our support has gone into meltdown the last month.
The fracturing of our fanbase can only have contributed towards this ‘decision’.
Perspective has been lost.

Genuinely gutted by this news. I am not ashamed to say I had a tear in my eye when I heard. A true legend who will never be forgotten for what he has done for our club. Well that’s the first time I’ve shed a tear about a sacking. What memories he’s left us with!

What the fuck. Why now? Makes absolutely no sense. Might be something to do with 1 point in 9 games and the Chris Powell football we were playing

Genuinely devastated. He gave us an identity and the best 2 seasons I've seen at Town. I really can't feel positive about this in any way.

Very sad, with him and Deano I always felt we were not a run of the mill club and had a bit more class, even though results have been disappointing. Not looking forward to getting someone off the managerial merry go round of failure. Still, I will remember how I felt when Schindys pen went in, and after the draw at Chelsea. Two great memories. Sincere thanks Mr Wagner and the very best for your future. UTT

Think David is absolutely mentally and probably physically drained at the inept performances from referees this season.I certainly have been so,God knows how he feels. The decision by that clown to send off Mounir vs Brighton has cost us lots of points.David has gone but Mason,Oliver et al will no doubt be trotting out this weekend with clear consciences,😡😡

That's me finished..... Won't be there again this season and won't now renew. We had no chance in the PL. Even the best managers couldn't have kept us up! What is the bloody point??? You need to grow a paor of cojones Live moves on. We've just been on the best ride of (most of our) lives and it lasted longer than we could have expected! That's the whole point, life didn't move on.... Wagner should not be the one carrying the can for this - the recruitment has been abysmal. He can only work with what he has at his disposal. With the right man in recruitment, the ride could have lasted long enough for even the biggest pair to hold out!

Genuinely feel sick. 30 years of supporting town DW has given me something I could only dream of. But the show must go on. Don't know who we will get but some bloody big boots to fill thanks Dave UTT

Absolutely gutted. Looks like the keyboard ‘warriors’ got their way. Intolerable pressure from some of our supposed supporters on the poor fella who only ever gave his all.
