Apologies if one already started or designated to be the match thread, but I thought it was about time to start one, what with only 90 minutes or so til kick-off.
What is Mark Hudson going to do? My bet is he'll go for it with an attempted early high-pressing game to initially startle City, try and nick a couple of quick goals and then take it from there, depending on how shocked City might be.
With the potential new manager in the stands, he'll be wanting to show him just how false our position in the table is, and put three points on the board to boost his own credibility.
Really hope we don't struggle against a side many are tipping for the league title and the CL - but let's try and make them not want to be at the JSS this aft.
My predicted line-up for Town:
---------------Lössl
Durm-------Zanka---Schindler------Kongolo
----------------Hogg
--------Pritchard----Billing
Kachunga--------Mounié--------Mbenza
Hoping also that Town can do what (I think) nobody else has done this season and restrict Guardiola's team to less than 60% possession.

Like that line up bro.. Let's have a go.. Hudson has nowt to lose. May as well attack instead of the slow death of 90 minutes defending

I also hope we get in their faces (if we can get close enough!)

Would love to see a massive boil over! Leave everyone stunned and City’s defence of their title in tatters. Even a break in luck would do.

22/1 for a town win. I've got a cheeky punt on it.

Feeling sad again this morning. Unfortunately I'll be at home in Berlin watching, not at the game. Wish I could be in amongst the Cowshed Loyal to help with their pre-match tribute to Wagner display, and for the rest of the 90, to cheer Hudson and the team on.
Stupidly listened again to the most recent episode of 'And He Takes That Chance' podcast, as I was talking a morning walk by the Spree in the sun. Wagner taught us not only what better football looks like, and how a football club should be run and managed, but he paved the way for us to improve as fans. He broke down the fourth wall in modern football, and emphasised how noise, numbers and colours could affect results. We have a responsibility to take that with us.
Just got a text from mi' old man. He wishes I was at the game today. He says it would be a fitting testament to DW's tenure. It's these sorts of days that make you really miss home - but at the same time its these sorts of days that also ensure you never forget where you came from.
Come on Town!
Just wanted to lift a little bit of the transcript from the from the promotion party.
'... and every single one of you should never forget:
It doesn't count how big you are, it doesn't count how experienced you are, it doesn't count how nice you are. If you have passion, and desire, you have no limits... no limits.'

Think we’ll have a player sent off today. New manager coming soon, players have a point to prove. Fans will rock the fortress. Players fired up, 1 too fired up.

Wow. Didn't expect as many changes by Hudson. Showing some balls to put that many attacking players in.

Go on Mark, liking it. He obviously has seen things close up and feels some deserve a chance

Billing not even on the bench is a huge call. I’d guess Hogg and Bacuna will sit very deep.

Billing actually injured or ready to be sold?
That midfield will be torn to shreds. Bacuna is lost defensively.
Nice to see something a bit different up front though.

Billing injured which is a massive blow if it keeps him out for more games. Looks like a proper 4-3-3
