Made a decent fist of it considering all the changes. More positive on the ball and with pace up front could at least see how we were trying to score. Mbenza’s pace and movement was very good, with a bit more confidence and encouragement he could be dynamite in the championship next year.
Put Mooy and Billing in the middle of the park and that front 3 and I think we’ll give a decent account of ourselves before the end of the season and pick up a few more wins.

I see, so what has he contributed this season apart from one decent cross in one match? He's hardly played What has any town player contributed this season? You’re not wrong there, he’s hardly played! 😂

That was one of the most boring games I've seen. City were playing at walking pace and not doing a great deal with the ball, we had a 5 minute spell in the 1st half of getting at them and that was about it.
Diakhaby is useless. He can run fast but that's it - he can't control the ball, pass it or dribble with it. A total waste of £10m.

He's not though is he. Looked good to me. Offered far more of a threat than Kachunga and it's not easy against the quickest full back in the league Well said mate, just proved to me that you're not totally daft :-)

Graeme Souness just said we never laid a glove on them, hard to argue with that.
Citeh looked like they were sleepwalking

Some really negative w*****s on here.
The team is trying to recover from the surprise of the boss leaving just a few days ago. Hudson being given a huge task to stop the rot...against more than a BILLION dollars worth of global talent FFS !
We were braver and more positive than of late. Most of us, if we were honest, were fearing a double figure slaughtering. One goal was an offside and Mounié missed a sitter, could easily have been 1-2 but even 0-3 in our current situation is a minor miracle.
Get a perpective bloody whingers.

Reasons to be cheerful. Don’t think we’ve been bad. Intent has been better. Mounie will score a shitload in the champ. I bet you he doesn’t.

Graeme Souness just said we never laid a glove on them, hard to argue with that. Citeh looked like they were sleepwalking That 2nd goal gave them the cushion. Another one where we didn't get the rub. (Sane off & Sterling was off & still active enough to score the goal - which is why I hate this shitty offside rule) From there on, it was always about game mgmt, the 3rd goal was just a cherry on top for them.

Well in the midst of the usual miserable fuckers I saw some positives. Puncheon tends to look forwards rather than sideways and back, and we looked somewhat better in the final third after Pritchard and Mounie came on. Yes the ball tended to end up with City, but they don't allow much space to the opposition, and are among the best at ball retention. I've felt a lot worse after some of the recent games, so bollocks to those who like to keep moaning how some of our players are "shit", you're like floating turds we can't flush away, but hey ho UTT.

I’d be more concerned if his close skills were shit. Weight of pass is a different thing. Ever had a lay off from golf and had to re-find your range?

Lads on Talksport have just given us a right pasting. Was it really that bad? I think you'll find it depends which colour glasses you're wearing Mel. The intent was there, more energy, so when you consider the opposition we did OK. 2nd goal killed it as a contest, game mgmt from Man C thereafter which is what you'd expect... They had a stonewall penalty that could have made it worse, but as many reminded us on here after our 'penalty' at Cardiff, they still had to score it...

I was very surprised, I thought we were gonna get absolutely tonked. We were never really in it, but did far better than in some similar games. Think i'd play the same side, but probably with Mounie at the spearhead and obviously Billing for Bacuna.

Exactly. The team we played today costs more than TEN times ours! Some on here don’t live in the real world and tbh don’t have a f’g clue about football and probably most other things in life. UTT

The difference was the big gulf in quality Talksport is an easy listening radio station, so do not expect anything considered or insightful, rather bland guff and dickheads trying to get a rise.

Well, as expected. Learnt nothing new. Its been the recruitment....clear to see. Of the last dozen signed only Kongolo has stepped up...and he is not great. Back to the Champs...heads held high. Build again. How frustrating that we could not make it work with the momentum. The reality is that what goes up always comes down. Saw a lot of naivety today...the Champs promotion team would have made a better fist of that...no doubt at all. Stick your CV in Oti... I'm sure it'd get a first scan by the recruiters before being shreddedframed... There are people who see all in the same way there are those who can cobble together a sailing boat from carrots and a biscuit tin. Thoughts are myriad and sentences limited. I would not have let Lee Clark drive my car. Peter Jackson i would have given the reins/keys to Liverpool. Brains/bottle go far. You see, intellect and drive together are invincible. I could manage Town as well as anyone the last 40 years....no doubt in my mind. If you live a thousand lives all is possible....stop over-valuing ex-footballers as managers...most are morons.
