We can’t blame refs or poor decisions. The table doesn’t lie we are the worst team in the league FACT Precisely. No need to make refs decisions the scapegoat this season, or anything else for that matter. We are shit. End of. Move on. I've made peace with it this season, really don't care what happens now, I certainly won't go to games and doubt I'll bother watching online. I'll be there again this August, however. Toodle pip

Oh Jesus please not another “perspective” pep talk. The current shambles is worthy of being deeply pissed off with. Is it? We've had worse times... Apparently our 9th loss by a 1 goal margin. No-one to blame but ourselves, but does sort of prove that the only & obvious thing lacking for us is goals. We've not had the best of luck this season either, which sharpens up this particular stat... Anyway, I'm not saying I'm not pissed off, just trying to be as mellow as I can about this... Do you think when Bournemouth lose a game Eddie Howe turns round and says “well at least we aren’t in league two like we were twelve years ago”. He doesn’t because it’s irrelevant. This “little huddersfield are grateful to be here” mentality is one of the reason we’ve been dicked on this season. We’ve heard it that much from Wagner it’s rubbed off on everyone - players and fans alike. And I’m sick to death of it. I also can’t understand the whole “were ok but we just can’t score” argument ... Scoring goals is the single most hardest thing to do in football! If you can’t do that then your fucked.

Seen us worse. Think they were there for the taking though. Nay mind chaps, keep tha peckers up. It could be worse, we could be Bradford fans. Saw a great game tonight and you can’t beat an injury time winner.

In all my years watching Town I've never seen a Town team devoid of attacking threat of ideas or on such a bad run. Yeah we've been crap in lower leagues but just cos it's he Premier League doesn't make it better.

I Thought the evening was going bad enough and then the new gaffer brings on Lowe over Pritchard and Depoitre when we need goals was that all about. Makes you wonder how poorly Pritchard has performed in Portugal for that kind of decision to be made

That was abysmal. We are frighteningly dull and predictable and let's be honest ...... Mooy, kongolo apart we have NO other consistent prem class players....billing is still a work in progress. The rest simply aren't good enough and I am still struggling to understand who managed the recruitment of sobhi, diakhaby, mbenza, bacuna as our signings this summer. We knew kongolo could handle this level.....the rest are way short and at times embarrassingly so. My son asked to go after 65 mins....bored! We are not sleepwalking into relegation.....we have slept into it. The lack of fight and simple basics was pitiful, particularly as Everton were bang average.

Why the over reactions on this board nowadays. You'd think we'd never been in a hole or lost a game before. There's some right theatrics on here, give your fecking heads a shake, or move further South where your lack of context and spine will be welcomed... Serious question atlantis - why is that a massive overreaction ? We played a poor team, down to 10 men for over half an hour, and still lost and didn't score a goal. The stats for Town (AND the performances) this season are genuinely awful. I know I should be more positive but sometimes, after YET ANOTHER bloody awful home performance releasing my anger by writing on this board is my best outlet. Again, seriously, what has there been about this season, or about 60% of the squad that gives you reason for your eternal optimism ? For me, it's that we've got a new manager but then I'm struggling - we are going to find it hard to get rid of a great deal of our squad. I notice both Quaner and VLP have now been dropped by their respective clubs. OK, there are some posters that are just downright knee jerk and others like yourself, who need to vent a little. I get there's a difference. My post in all honesty, was aimed at the people who seem to be going over the top, worst team to grace the PL etc. etc. As though that's something we should be ashamed of. We've landed in a moneyed league that, if we're honest, is totally alien to us as a club and how we've operated for the last 40+ yrs. Our confidence on the pitch is as rock bottom as my memory can remember & we've been digging a deeper hole for the last 2 months... Of course I'm frustrated about tonight, about how this season is ultimately going to pan out, but in a wider context we're in the best place this club has been in for generations & the club is doing as it has always done under the stewardship of DH, that's acting in the best & long term interests of HTFC. I imagine he's hurting like mad at the current state of affairs, tonights game highlighted to me that even when devoid of any confidence, we still don't get the breaks that might just start to turn that around. We're not good enough, that's patently obvious, but I'll trust the club and the mgmt to do their best to work it out and make sure our slump is properly assessed and stymied. Survival will now be a miracle for us, but it's not the end of the world and is why I hope I never become a doom monger and over react to this stuff... It's a game, far worse shit happening in real life just now than HTFC moving a step closer to being relegated to a league, that in context is still one of the richest leagues in the world...

We must be the worst team to ever grace the prem surely?
I know derby only managed 11 points but I bet they weren’t this bad to watch.
EDIT: just looked and they scored 20 goals, no chance we’re getting anywhere near that.

We just don’t have the quality, simple as that especially in the final third. Mooy made a big difference when he came on, a few neat little passes and composure, it is going to be a real shame to lose him in the summer but he deserves better, sure can’t see him remaining but hope he goes for no less than £20m in today’s market.

Sounds like a delusional manager to me, “saying he’s proud of the players” made out Pickford was really busy Wow not great hearing that interview from jan tbh risk averse tactics again, ruined in the first couple of minutes by us being asleep/lazy/disinterested.... pickford made a save that he should really never have been able to, its a fucking miss, a bad fucking miss.. we had already wasted 70 minutes of a home game prior to that anyway.. we should not be frightened of making mistakes, we should be very used to it by now.. do any of the players talk to each other off the pitch, they certainly don't on it.. the dancing round the ball in their 18 yard box was painfully comical and we tackled each other at least 3 times whilst failing to tackle the opposition..

What's your view of the world then? Genuinely interested... Lol. Go away, Leeds fan. When I was a kid I got given one of those LUFC sports bags, you know the light blue ones, like the retro Gola bags you see nowadays. Fortunately for me I was ahead of my time and used it to collect and store the dogshit from our 3 legged blind dog called Bremner...

One thing I noticed tonight was that Mounie didn't jump properly for a header until injury time. He's got a massive leap on him so it's clear when he isn't trying fully and all night he was hardly getting off the ground. Finally got a bit angry towards the end and leapt about 300ft in the air and won the header easily
Pretty galling to watch someone on ridiculous money not try regardless of the season already being over

I think the frustration for me now is us still being decent in the build up but completely impotent in front of goal. IMO this isn't simply down to a lack of ability (with the exception of Mike Williams esque Diakhaby)- just confidence has been totally and utterly eroded. Absolutely. The players have gone mentally. Collective lack of self belief to be the one who scores. Everyone now too terrified to take responsibility. It’s ultimately about levels and our players are not capable of performing when it matters at this level.
