At least one Director of the club seems to think everything in the garden is rosy, according to a piece in T,egzaminer..Appealing for everyone to stick together.

State the obvious why don't you! its better than trying to guess! I guess you are right I see the examiner and Mel Booth where again running the story online Yesterday saying the rumours will not go away. As poor as that paper has now become, they have usually claimed a quick denial from someone at the club angle, but have not done in this case.

Just a guess only, but would be a "natural" timing, an ending and a beginning so to speak. It just seems odd, we are all fed up (to a lesser or greater degree) and need a bit of a lift. At the moment it feels we are drifting, some may say "sleepwalking", into the Championship and we don't really know what to expect. I suppose the only issue I can see is not to disrupt the final games, but if that is a reason it's a bit pointless as we have been merely fulfilling the fixtures for weeks now. All very odd and not what we have come to expect in the past 10 years or so, we have always know where we stood.

Having looked up the process of selling a football club, it says generally this works out over a three month period, with the final signing off taking from one week to a month after agreement of both parties. Maybe that is now the period ending any week now?

Announce it now and they take over a PL club about to be relegated.
Announce it in 2 weeks and they take over a Championship club they aim to get promoted back into the bigtime.
It’s probably their egos wanting to start from a lower base to make any success they have a bigger achievement on paper.

Those taking over will be an expedient i.e. there are no pretensions of being any better 2 - DH has found an owner(s) who have the financial clout to take us to the next level (financially). Neither option is any guarantee of any success or suggests failure of course - only time will determine that.

I cannot see any benefit to the club from this. Unless the takeover is a very wealthy Town fan, any takeover will be on a profit making basis. Except for the parachute payments for 3 years, we will not be able to make a profit at Championship level. Unless we get promotion back to the prem, we will cease to be profitable and then become a financial liability to new owners. This is unlikely to lead to a happy ending.

You make a fair point here, so it begs the question; If you aren't expecting a return on your investment, and the only way of doing this is to get back to the Premier League, then why bother unless you are emotionally invested in the club or the project? We all know that DH is very much emotionally invested in Town. I don't think any of us expects anyone else to have that emotional attachment. In which case, and in the absence of a mega rich and focused owner (and they wouldn't be necessarily looking at Town), someone with a sensible and hard working plan is probably the best we can hope for. Lets be honest I think the majority would be happy with DH remaining, resetting and building on the last 3 years.

I think the parachute payments mean whoever comes in will feel they have 3 attempts at getting to the Premier league without having to lose money. After that it will take significant investment which is when things could go south very quickly

Plenty of championship and lower clubs in the same boat I guess. I'm hoping for a Town-mad billionaire with money to burn
