Shall we all just sulk and boo then? Prob last time Town fans see Hogg. A massive player for us over 10 years. Turton, Pearson, Lees, Nicholls, Ward. Thanks lads, got some great memories from 21/22. Less so since but don’t think it’s all on you. Helik - enjoyed watching you play for us for two seasons and, shock horror, enjoyed your goals. Spencer - been nice to watch your improvement and will follow your career when you leave. Rudoni - ditto. Rest of them-not so much. Please tell me what you think I should do next time we’re in this situation. Tell em to fuck off. Thanks mate. Would that help? Me telling Hogg to fuck off?

Having read the posters responses to others this evening, that’s the least offensive comment I could post. I haven't insulted anybody this evening, I've posted my opinions, which is what a forum is for. You don't like me, so you've just taken various opportunities to start slinging insults because that's all you do on here. You insult people, claim that they're of less intelligence than you and just generally slag them off. You never offer anything constructive at all. I have never met you , so there is nothing to like or dislike , the rest of your ramblings 😂😂

I don't know him personally but the guy is clearly a passionate fan who does lots of work for the club. If you think referring to the owner, club management, players, supporters applauding at the end of the game, as varying degrees of “ shite” , as a passionate fan , doing lots for the club, well that’s upto you. It's up to me, yes. And I agree with his assessment, so I'm presumably a "tool" too.

I'm sorry, a team that has been relegated after winning just nine games in a season, is shite. That's my opinion. I've sung the club's praises numerous times, and have said that things have even improved under Nagle! Which, off the pitch, they have. But he ignores that, because it doesn't suit his agenda. There's a number of people on here that will single out my posts, despite several other people expressing the same opinions. That says more about those individuals than it does about me.

I booed, told them they're a joke.
I'm going to Ispwich.
Does that make the clappers better fans?

I don’t doubt some of our players have put 100% into every game they’ve played this season
I can see why they deserve a small applause
It’s a small group
The rest don’t deserve one clap!

Because Jonny Hogg led the team around the pitch. They were showing appreciation for the support. He looked gutted and his gesture merited reciprocation. Wrong. The players were set to walk down the tunnel until they were told to walk round the pitch, Hogg wasn’t leading anything. 75% of that squad have been a disgrace all season, he may well have looked gutted but he should be stronger in that dressing room in weeding out the bad apples who dragged this club into League One. Seeing Sorba at the back on his own tells its own story. Barely any of them deserved a ripple. They were showing their appreciation? Listen to the managers comments, Pete. Some didn’t even stick around at the end, they bolted. Unfit, unprofessional and poisonous.

I'll try and cut through the rubbish. The season is utterly abysmal. Dress it up however you wish, but it's ended in the most clear failure. It is built on previous seasons failure, but those in charge of the club should own it. Time to start putting that right.

They didn’t get relegated on purpose, they’re just not very good players…don’t see an issue with some low key ‘well at least you tried’ clapping Anyone who clapped, please stay away. If that is worthy of clapping, you are also one of many issues at the club right now. I think the point is that you nor anyone else (even Carmichael Dave) can tell anyone how they should react. If people want to boo they can, if others like me have small kids with them who think it’s good to teach respect, they can clap. We’re all grown men and women and should be left to deal with things in our own way. Don’t tell me to stay away. I’ll be there next season with my kids supporting my dad’s club. You don’t get to tell me otherwise. Thanks

You're teaching you child that is is okay to be praised for minimul effort. However, booing isn't the answer either. Simply get up and leave and a little grumble to whoever you're with would be the best way.

Or you can leave and let those who stayed - maybe applaud who they feel made an effort- do what they want to do. Some may not even have applauded them , they just wanted to reflect on the season. Maybe some have been fans for many years 40 or more years, pretty sure you don’t want to tell them to stay away. Please don’t tell fans how they should react, it means different things to different people.

I still don't understand how a team of serial losers who can't be arsed to earn their wage can get any sort of applaud. It's disgusting the way they have played this season. Absolute zero care for the fans, apart from 2 or 3. If people are accepting this by applauding, God help the future of the club. It didn't need to be toxic either. Even worse that the players came back out. They are the most shambolic squad we have seen in my 34 years. The only thing I would have found acceptable would have been Hogg to come out on his own as his service was the only thing that needed any form of applaud.

Tbh, the walk around was as shambolic as the season 😂 You make some good points though. Certain players this season seem to have been the most selfish I can recall and they definitely don’t deserve any plaudits. Anyway, regardless, we all know we will be there again next season 🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️😂

Challenge is healthy. We should call out crap when we see it. The alternative is to praise and blindly support failure then we become part of the problem. No way I'm clapping any of them for this seasons tripe.

Maybe they were clapping to say thank god we can go back home and not watch any more of this shite for a while. Not one of those losers deserve clapping, maybe clapping round the back of their lugholes For me they can all do one. I'd keep Helik the rest can just piss off.

I didn't stay and clap but all I ask is that players give 100% - too few did this season
But people like Hogg, Helik, Rudoni, Kasumu and a few others left it all on the field each time in my view
So it's right they get some appreciation and aren't tarred with the same brush as the ones who didn't show the some commitment
So I get why some fans choose to acknowledge those players efforts

Some on here calling others out for not clapping, yet have said they won't go if we are in League 1. League 1 brought me some of the best moments as a fan. As long as we have a club to watch, that'll do me.

Quite a lot of those players will be here next season. Even if the season was poor, and some of them were, I wanted them to know we have their backs. If we improve next season we will need to get back to feeling like one together club.
We have all suffered years of poor football but, for me, the only way to improve is if we do it together. After every defeat, and many draws, this site has ranted on debating who is to blame. That is no way to go forward.
Every season should be a reset and I would prefer their last home memory was of being applauded off rather than booed or ignored. We need them to be better next time around.

I didn't clap yesterday but I did stand and watch them lapping the pitch. Some of them deserve praise but most of them deserve their careers to nosedive into the northern premier.
You can talk about the manager and the owners all you want, even pick on a radio host from Sacramento but those who fail to see that the one constant throughout multiple managers and owners is some of these players. It's them I 1000% put the blame on.

What reason do the players have to deserve a clap? Those clapping, what were they clapping for? Can't be effort Can't be entertainment Can't be talent. The clapping today is the reason why people at the club think its acceptable. What did you do at the end? Went up Alder Street and got the clap ??
