According to Hoyle, that wasn't Stan's problem at all. Some people would argue that Hoyle's merely covering up his ambition for his own manager, to have a manager of his choice at the helm, and using this "disagreement" as an excuse, but if we're to take his words at face value, then results weren't the problem. Fair point andy but do you seriously think stan would have gone if we were in the top 6?? Well, initially my thoughts would be not ... but ... it depends if we're to take Hoyle's words literally. It also depends on the nature of the disagreement.

I think, to a point, that is a fair comment. I agree, but wasnt it one of those monkeys that appointed him? Watson?

One can only guess that Stan was a victim of the baying mob and was undermined by a faction within the club - those living on Easy Street. If Mr Hoyle continues to listen to the wrong people then the club will continue to wallow in the lower reaches and will not get the successful manager that most of us want. NB I see that Liam Dickinson scored 2 for Blackpool in the Championship today. Of course, if one listens to some people Stan didn't have a clue when it came to judging players.

You can guess that Len if you like. I prefer to guess ( and its not really a guess) that he was just a crap manager and appointing him in the first place was a huge mistake. I wonder if watson will be joining him on boxing day to polish off the turkey? ;D

I think his main problem was that he was no bloody good at man management and had no manners whatsoever. Me I`ll personally go and stuff his turkey with Paxo.

my opinion is that the chairman should have nothing to do with the playing side of things. He pays a manager to do that thinking for him so got what he deserved their imo. He's supported town 30 years so what, does that make him able to manager a football club!!!!

Yeah but should Hoyle he going into the dressing room close to kick off?
Still, Ternent shouldnt be speaking to his future employer like that, shows what a nobhead he is and how stupid he is.

I think most managers know, going in to games, that a win would be preferable!

Maybe he knew what buttons to press to get the reaction he wanted knowing that he had a cast iron agreement in place to tempt Capello away from the England job...maybe

Last time I played FM Ken Davy was hounding me make big profile signing!!! The ironic torture became so severe that I had to give it in. I was sure that bugger was on the brink of swinging the axe down on me for not spending his money too. I'd play the game again but I dont have a spare 6 months of my life.

He didn't tell him how to go on though did he, just said that we needed 3 points - which we did!
The best response Stan could have given him would have been "We'll be doing our best Dean"
Anyone that abuses their future or current boss (if the story is true!) in such a way can expect a P45 in no time at all.

What i'm saying is he's put his hard earned money in to be spent immediately.
I think that gives him the right to make his feelings known.
And as far as i'm concerned, the sooner DH takes over the better!

If ternent hadnt been doing such a shit job then it wouldnt have needed hoyle to tell him we needed 3 points. Its not like he had been going in since the stockport game saying "Stan, we need three points today"
