The less time we concern ourself with Stanley the better, big mistake to appoint him imho - the sooner we get a new man the better

Whether you wanted him to stay or not, Ternent was a victim of modern times. Warnock wouldn't have lasted any longer than him today. Back in the mid 90's there was none of this internet stuff, just the examiner's propaganda. Ternent would have lasted much longer and possibly turned the club around.
Having said that, i'm glad he's gone but i'm getting the feeling that managing HTFC is an impossible job!

I take the point but as many have said on here ST was stuck in his ways from the 70's and 80's. I don't think the internet has had much to do with his departure there were two key reasons for me: 1 - His methods created a terrible working atmosphere at the club. 2 - His style of football was bloody awful to watch and wasn't producing results. I think he will soon be forgotten....

I said from the start it was a terrible appointment and he proved worse than I even feared! But as shawsie says, he's gone now, good riddance from me, but let's move on and forget his reign. The sooner, the better.

Imagine what this board would have been like when Warnock told Marsden he would not play again for Town.

Still a great position to be in, we still have a chance of play offs, we will be trying to play football, no pressure on us really. The club is obviously happier, dean is taking his time to get who he really believes in to take us up playing decent stuff hopefully. We have the basis of a good team but will need to bring a few in when new bloke gets in post. Cant complain really imo.
