Beyond a joke. why should the admin come down hard on someone whos merely saying what hes heard?in case you havent noticed, that happens alot on here,so pointless argument there-telling people to piss off and calling them idiots doesnt help your case either

I know for FACT that Stan was an absolute barsteward to a few players .... especially young ones, the blokes not all there upstairs.... people shouldnt moan now over gerry and mitch, disgrace that we will have had to give stan some pay off money imo.

I really think its best to put stan's tenure behind us now and move on. His spell in charge has seen the support base split more than i have ever seen - probably players and coaching staff too!! Time to move on and unite one and all behind whoever is appointed by DH hopefully sooner rather than later.

I dont understand the hatred to be honest!!! He tried his best to change what was and still is an underperforming club. For me he was right to do so, but his methods appear to have been questionable to say the least and ultimately we are no better now than before he arrived and have spent decent money in standing still - hence he had to go! Time to forget him and move on - after all he didnt do a wadsworth or macdonald and take us down!!

I think, to a point, that is a fair comment. & which point is that Tom? The point where he started to speak? The only thing that makes any sense to me is the final comment. He was indeed off. Your persistent support for that lieing arrogant man is bewildering when surely by any criteria he made a very poor fist of the job here. You've turned from a happy clapper to one who can barely see anything right in our club. I'd certainly like to put the Geordie Messiah's tenure at our club behind us. In fact I'd like to do a Bobby Ewing, come out of the shower and find it never happened at all.

Some of the best managers in football are incredibly arrogant - ferguson, wenger, mourinho to name but 3, but all of them are whilst delivering results. Stan's problem was he didnt deliver results and you cant do that whilst appearing aloof and abusive - warnock did a similar thing 14 years ago when he completely revamped the place but was more savvy in his dealings with both the media and his players. Ultimately he was the wrong man and is best now forgotten - time to move on!

Some people would argue that Hoyle's merely covering up his ambition for his own manager, to have a manager of his choice at the helm, and using this "disagreement" as an excuse, but if we're to take his words at face value, then results weren't the problem.

Fair point andy but do you seriously think stan would have gone if we were in the top 6??

Stan had the right idea, IE - Giving everyone a kick up the backside, he just went about it in the wrong way. Some of the players at HTFC have had it far too easy, for far too long. Stan tried to remedy this, he was just a little over the top.
