Perhaps we should offer £250,000 + a few bulbs for their 1930's floodlights?

I can see this happening now. I dont think Carlisle will be willing to turn down that sort of money and risk losing him for nothing in 6 months time. Potential to be a very good signing too, while he is a good striker at this level he was once 'the next big thing', so maybe room for improvement too.

Would be a decent signing i reckon - not sure he thinks too much of us though following a) his goal celebration and b) our inept performance...!

30 goals in 74 starts.. not bad .. still, we were told that there was no way we would get Lee Clark when we first asked.....

that was probably until he realised the extent of our non goal scoring striker issues

We had him on loan a couple of years ago, didn't impress, I think there are better options at league 1 level.
Mind you, we had Marlon King on loan in 04/05, he was also rubbish and look at him now, you never can tell.

Looks to have a decent goalscoring record, and still room for potential - surely just what we are after.........

You can never tell with short loans.

And just to reignite the Goalscoring vs Working your socks off striker, here's one opinion of him from the Carlisle Board...
"I'd take that offer myself, but if Abbott does feel we need Graham then they ar right to reject it.
I'm not afan of graham, I'll say that when he scores and say that when he doesn't which some fans don't seem to be able to do so who complain like hell when he cannot score then back him to the hilt when he does.
Maybe my view is harsh because he has even i must agree done very well to reach the total he has in a bad side, but to me is alot of games where he contributes nothing and would hope we could find better I just look to the oldham game when you seen their 2 forwards were buzzing about all over the place causing our defence alot of problems with off the ball runs and looking for space, then see our forwards standing there most of the game immobile and waiting for the ball to come to them than finding the room and space to give options........yeah his goal record is great, but he isn't a hard worker.
but Abbott should get the main decision I mean all us fans will have players we think are good and players we think aint, manager's survive or get sacked on these decisions and as long as Abbott is given a main shout on this bid and whether we keep him or not then that is fine by me."
So do we want a goalscorer or a workhorse which this guy isn't? For me I want someone to bang the goals in..

To be honest I'd say both Celtic and Rangers are nothing better than championship standard at present, wouldn't expect McDonald to cut it in prem, look at Maloney. You're right about loans though, we had Raul Bravo in 02/03, he was absolutely shocking but went on to play regularly for Real Madrid! ;D

But your right, i think us and you would have a shot at coming 3rd/4th in the SPL. We'd beat you to third though, obviously

can't say i know what sort of player he is but his goalscoring record at this level is superb. The Carlisle fan comment suggests he could be a bit of an Andy Payton.
