Duncan Shearer's header against Leeds at home in the 80s. Identical to Pele's header against Gordon Banks-only it went in

in no particular order:
rob edwards v man city live on a friday night sky game with god only knows how many consecutive passes before he volleyed it in
tony carss with that great volley against torquay with both feet off the ground
gary taylor fletcher v rotherham, the 500,000th football league goal,an incredible swerving effort from near the corner of the box
gary taylor fletcher v bristol city, waltzed through practically every bristol city player on the pitch n slid it past the keeper
pawel abbott v brentford, great team build up and a delightful chip into the top corner

Heres one for you that hardly any of you will have seen.
Wrexham away in the ldv around 2002ish, only 100 town fans there. Dwayne Mattis got the ball on half way and waltzed around the whole team and tucked it away, it was one of the best individual goals i've ever seen. Think Taylor-Fletcher at Bristol but better.

In my time watching Town it has to be Taylor Fletcher at Chelsea, we were still celebrating that goal 7 minutes later when they scored the winner!

in no particular order: pawel abbott v brentford, great team build up and a delightful chip into the top corner .... not to mention the fact that he took the p!$$ out of their keeper and his bad positioning. Probably not the greatest goal, but one I saw live, so thanks for reminding me.

Wembley in 95. Walsall last game of the season (I think) a couple of years ago. Pav struck a shot at goal that whistled directly to Booth's forehead. I still hear the resulting "thud" at times on quiet nights .

due to financial restraints and work commitments i stopped being a season ticket holder after the play off win in '95 and only been to about 20 matches since (although i do have st this year but only attended 3 games sofar) but of the goals i've seen starbuck v blackppol '94 crosby v lincoln '95? Dyson v plymouth jeppos free kick v blackpool bullocks penalty v brentford any of starbucks goals on the road to autoglass final. tom cowans throw in tom cowan v wimbledon rob edwards v man city tony carss v torquay and favourite moment in a football match: Liam lawrence to busy talking to the crowd to realise that he had been passed the ball in the play off final

For celebrating alone, Collins goal at Leeds was the best for me (Billy's at Wembley very close 2nd)
For pure skill, it's got to be Tony Carss.

I could be wrong but I thought it was against Carlisle in the Autoglass Northern Final. Thinking on I think that could have been Starbuck and it didn't stick .

Thinking on I think that could have been Starbuck and it didn't stick . definately stoke city, they also wore their version of the Gola shirt. Whilst ours was Red, Black and silvery white electric hoops, theirs was two shades of purple and white ( thank you jeff banks ) made by matchwinner

The Dunny goal against Stoke was used in the opening to Standing Room Only. I think Stoke were quite high up the league, making it all the sweeter.
Gary Barnett's cracker at home to Sunderland in the league cup. Bullock against Leicester in both games under Horton.

Just thought of another cracker--Marcus Stewart against Oldham(?). He seemed to switch from foot to foot about 5 times before slotting it in. It was on Sky in '97(?)

Can't remember the scorer but one about 5 years ago at the mac. Opposition on counter attack and only efe sodje covering. He got to ball first and dropped shoulder, turned and smacked a 50 yard, cross field ball to pav who simply (on the half volley) knocked it into the path of an onrushing midfielder who put it away.
Similar to Collins' last week but a lot better. Not best goal ever, but still very good.
GTF's is played on big screen every home game, and every time I turn to my dad and say "we should never have let him go".
