"I do have one question for those who know what lyrics are, if management changes or the board, can it be easily adapted for the new board? "
The lyrics dont actaully mention names of anyone, it was written so it wouldnt necesarily stick in this time period, it could be used at any time in the future as its written to give a positive outlook at ANY time its used!

It's a top quality version of Smile Awhile. of course, not everyone will like it....just as not everybody despises Uncle Ken.....but I'm confident most people will like it

You my friend have got it spot on! we thought getting to belt out the best known part of the song twice would be a good idea so hopefully it goes down well!

To be played at the games from now on! Just had a message from pozza on facebook via the cowshed loyal page and this is what it says... "I've been in contact with a local Huddersfield Band who have done a cover version of Smile Awhile. Its the version we normally sing just with an added verse about the new dawn at Hudders (Dean Hoyle taking over etc)
It's going to be played before games, and hopefully it will be played just as the teams run out (Might not be this way on Saturday but thats what the plan is) Basically this message is for everyone to join in with the song when it is played over the tannoy, all of us holding up scarfs like Liverpool/Celtic do to YNWA. If we could get the whole Galpharm doing this it would be class.
Obviously I cant contact everyone in't stadium, so spread the word, and if us lot start it off, folk will see it and hopefully join in. End aim is to get the music playing, then have it turn off halfway through & have the crowd sing that last verse or so. Wont happen straight away, but if we stick at it you never know what we can acheive."I cant wait for this ;D Edit - Not sure if its been mentioned on here yet but thougt i'd post it just incase it hasnt. I,V heard the song mate and now its my ringtone on my phone....its a very catchy tune and the leg starts shekking as if you want to dance ;D ;D ;D ;DJAFFA182 is a good friend of mids and of course me!the young lad is town barmy and loves this club.....everybody is going to like the song take my word....i was very honoured for the first town fan barring sean jarvis to hear it....i gave it the thumbs up,,,,,1 thing to remember though this young lad can also drink and if you meet him keep away because you end up in bed on a satdy after the game at 6-30pm

Ive got a little update on our version of smile a while from our meeting with Sean this afternoon.
Unfortunately the song cant be played tomorrow as all playlists need to be submitted to a regulatory body that checks on copyrights and the like and you need to submit the playlists a few weeks in advance!
Sean and the media lad Alastair said they are happy with the song and are going to use it in the next game possible. They said the song will be played at half time so everyone will be in the ground and this way they will gauge everyones response to the song and take it from there!
Hopefully we wont be waiting too much longer!

good effort, liked it, hope we keep playing it... it doesn't detract from the original which will always be sung by the fans

"Where is the link to the new version?"
theres no link as yet runner because both us and the club thought it best to be just played at games for the moment while we gauge opinion.
we will deffinately be doing something in the near future as its the only song we have done thats not online!

Really? lol, amazing since we hate them so much that we would sound like them, are there any specific aspects because this is something we would want to sort out asap?

memusic.metro.co.uk/users/propanepenny/tunesthere you go guys, its the only place i can get it up at the mo as im at work, should be no problems with it but as i dont have a sound card in my PC i cant check. I can guarantee it will be much better heard over decent speakers because i could barely hear the vocals on saturday and i assume it was the same for every1! Feedback appreciated! JP

Heard it at Saturday's game and unfortunately myself and the people who were with me weren't impressed. Possibly down to the style of music which it's been done in which I admit I'm not a fan of.
Guess it's going to be a marmite type version love it or hate it...

"Guess it's going to be a marmite type version love it or hate it... "
thats to be expected, not everyone likes rock so we were well aware there would be people who disliked i for that reason! same as we wouldnt of liked a version that was dance/rnb etc...
we did try make it as appealing to a wider audience as possible but its hard to please everyone!
