L***s are asking us to pay their hotel bill from last weekend! This is ridiculous, but reading into it, it would appear that they might have a case as per League rules. But I would have thought that it only applied to teams who have to make long journeys? It's a scathing and sarcastic response from Clibbens - good on yer, mate! Official Site

Brilliant, what a legend Clibbo is.
Leeds really are a shambles under Bates. Very embarassing for their fans.

thats farcical-if our players can get to leeds for a 12.15 kickoff 2 years in a row without any effect on match preparation, then leeds can do the same-theyre just bitter, and tbh its pathetic of them-shows just how sad they are and why people hate them so much-if the league have any sense, they'll tell leeds to eff off and to pay their own bills and not deduct the costs from ticket sales-town in my eyes can certainly tell the league that if we can travel the same distance for the sake of a 12.15 kickoff (only 15mins later than at our place) 2 years in a row then leeds can cope with it

That set of scum bags just get worse and worse. I hope we are billing them for the broken seats they left behind. Seemingly one group of their 'fans' had a go at some 'fans' that broke their seats after the final whistle and the ended up in a bit of a scuffle exiting the stadium.

What a pathetic bunch of sour grape eating scumbags!!
Did we claim for hotel expenses when we blitzed them 2-1 at Elland Road... another early kick off?!
Leeds are a Mickey Mouse club.

Great response from Clibbo, I agree!
What a pathetic joke of a club Leeds are. I almost feel sorry for the likes of the guys that post on here - it must be so embarrassing! :S

Wouldn't it be funny if a lot of people were to send C4 size envelopes to Bellend Road with a letter containing a 1p coin to help them out, but only put a 2nd class stamp on it (Yids United then having to pay the extra money because its a large letter - probably another 20p - to get 1p) 20 odd pence to have a laugh, can't imagine anyone would be so bad as to do that..................

"Leeds have told us that the 12.00 kick off 'necessitated' an overnight stay because their players 'would have been leaving home at an unreasonable hour in terms of match preparation time' and therefore under Football League Regulations we should pay."
thats comical!as far as im aware, the last 2 fixtures at bellend road didnt require an overnight stay, and the game kicked off only 15mins later in both cases than the fixture at our place last weekend..........if we didnt require an overnight stay, they didnt, and their claim is nothing more than bitterness-i'm sure had they won or it been a draw they wouldnt have made this claim

Wrong again.

Really is quite pathetic. It really is.
And what is an 'unreasonable' hour. They all have 60 minutes in them do they not?

Town should therefore claim retrospectvely for the previous two seasons, possibly blaming the lack of overnight stay on losing 4.0. Smithies was only a young lad, therefore his sleep, timing of his bowl of cheerios and playing xbox for an hour before game were vital to his everyday preparation. Obviously Delph has suffered similarly so its probably a fair claim. Also the weather for the 4.0 game was atrocious, surely that had an effect on the players on top of lack of sleep.
Blimey, this could cause all sorts of problems!! ;D

theyre basically saying they've had enough of him and his cheapness, they want him out of their club, and they admit it makes them look like fools and makes the clubs reputation even worse, and that he should put his hand in his pocket and pay the bill himself

Like the bit at the end when clibbens says ' it does nothing for Leeds' reputation at all.'
Id say it just confirms Leeds' reputation as a total embarressment of a football club who seem to lack any morals or basic integrity.
Leeds Utd- the joke that just keeps on giving and giving! ;D

I think we should pay their hotel bills, providing they are happy to pick-up the Policing bill, given the notoriety of their neanderthal fans.
