Just enjoy rest of the season, we'll get some good results but follow em up with minging performances.
Even if we made play-offs cos everyone else is fucking up too, we'd blow it. The goals are not coming easy and that the only thing that wins games, always gonna concede a few.
We'll only start to win back to back when it impossible to go up, last 4 games! Probably end up 7th and everyone will be moaning about drawing at home to Cheltenham when a win would have seen us finish 6th.

Are you available for Mr Motivator style business presentations? I've a need of someone for some forthcoming marketing seminars where your positive nature might inspire my staff...
Cheers...

whats the difference between a pig and fromage frey?, whilst one is the very antithesis to the other, the juxtaposition of pig and a fromage frey renders the comparison little more than matter of who where's the best clothes: David Unsworth or Dean Gorre?. The real issue what sunflower seems to be investigation is probably the relationship between mercantile capitalism and post-structuralist gender construction. Whilst one may disagree with the inherent problems of Joan Scott's theory of gender as a tool of analysis, it does seem possible that using gender as a category of analysis can bring to the front fresh perspectives on the issue of mercantile capitalism. Its a bit like when we signed Fola Onibuje on loan from Preston, people questioned why jam rolls could cost a fraction of his wages; but the overarching issue seemed to be an enormous amount of pre-modern constipation.
That is the response that this post deserves.

I agree with sunflower. We aren't going to make the play-offs this year... as much as I want us to, and will be wishing i'll be made to eat my own words, we just aren't going to do it! We needed to win games like Hartlepool at home and Crewe away.

ps- if we wanna dream of the play-offs let us dream of the play-offs?, whats wrong with looking on the bright side?, everyone is entitled to their opinion on the issue and i fully respect that and true we may not make the play-offs. But supporting a team like town requires optimism, its what gets the songs going and its what makes us look forward to the games at the weekend. Its what pulled us through the dark days of administration and heartache of relegation. It creates season ticket sales and creates a buzz in the club. We still have a chance of making the play-offs and where there is a chance there is a way. If we fail to make it then too bad, but as an optimist i will pick myself up, like other town fans, and look forward, and i believe thats what life and supporting town is all about.

Then he makes at least 20 errors in his next post. Yes, I am that sad. I really did waste my time finding errors to justify a post by a friend.

ok so my post had a few errors, i never claimed it did not. Plus when i write on here i dont exactly grammar check my stuff. I never intended my post to be seen in that light you are missing the point. It was rather intended on the basis that, telling people what to think is as fruitless as the drivel that i posted. Your friend completely missed the point by drawing on my grammar, as if i intended i was doing something serious, and my response to him was merely in relation to the hypocrisy of telling someone off for their grammar and shorthand writing skills when he himself was not exemplifying those traits.

And I think you've missed the point that there is a difference between someone making an honest mistake, and someone else who can't even be bothered to make an effort.

when i write on here i dont exactly grammar check my stuff townfanjamie made one genuine mistake, whilst trying to hint at your alleged lack of grammar. You on the other hand even admit that you aren't really that bothered about the grammar in your post, which IMO indicates laziness. So you can hardly pick at someone else's mistake if you can't be bothered to try not to make your own. Bit hypocritical if you ask me. And just a couple of very quick things by the way...a question mark only follows a question, and it also signifies the end of a sentence, therefore you don't need to use a comma after every question mark.

Just enjoy rest of the season, we'll get some good results but follow em up with minging performances. Couldn't agree more with that. Too many times we've failed to deliver against teams we should be beating. Hopefully Clark etc can get this "trend" out of the players & next season we wont suffer from this problem & make a real go of it.

7 points behind Oldham in 5th place with a game in hand and 14 games to play.
Its FAR from being over .If we can start winning away aswell as at home then we WILL get in the play-offs

It’s being so cheerful that keeps me going. I think you'll find the correct quote is, "It's being so cheerful as keeps me going."

If this thread were called "Please don't hope for play-offs", then I wouldn't have a problem with it.
But aren't dreams what football is all about? I'd rather cling on to the dream of the play offs than look forward to a mediocre mid-table finish.

If this thread were called "Please don't hope for play-offs" UTT Judging by it's content the thread should be called "Post here if you are gods gift to the English language, who thrives on telling every other innocent bystander that visits DATM how intellectually superior you are". I can understand pulling the text speak apart but reading post after post of "you cant spell", or "leave my illiterate friend alone, at least he knows how to spell fromage bastard frais" gets a bit annoying when all you want to do is read about Town on your dinner hour. FFS As for our Play-off chances, the Fat Lady is warming up her vocal chords i'm afraid. Very little margin for error now. Edit........Guess what?? Spelling!! Wouldn't want to offend anyone now!!

by punctuation, are you referring to the use of the apostophe? Its use is possessive, I can't see anything wrong with it. The phrase should have either been ...a child's punctuation. or ...the punctuation of a child. No it shouldn't. The original phrase - Yeah, that would work if only you could spell 'fromage frais' and the grammar wasn't, you know, like that of a child's. - is grammatically (and colloquially) fine. Any road up, I don't see why we can't just enjoy the rest of the season as a series of discreet football games and hope for the play-offs. (And that may well not be the correct spelling of 'discrete'. I'm crap with homophones)
