I hope they get put up to £250/£300 myself.
To cut out the annoying people who come to the football to argue about which of their 372 children uses "Too much f*cking milk on their cereal" (I kid you not).

I agree as it seperates the true fans from the halfwits who know nothing about football/Town/anything and just want to watch some chepa footy. I disagree as with the b*stard current financial climate, some proper fans may not wish to pay that much to watch League 1 football again. I'll pay £200-250 for one.

I hope they as financially economical to people as possible. I'm not bothered if some just buy them as they want to watch cheap football. It's there money and better in the Huddersfield coffer rather than Bradford Leeds or anyone else.
I have 2 kids aged 16 and 14 by the time the new season kicks off and have to budget for 3 tickets not 1. Therefore as money is tight, I like many are watching to see what the pricing structure will be.
I'm Town mad as people know. However, and I say this with a heavy heart and that is "if ST's are priced to high for next season, I will seriously review if it is good value for money or not"
In an economy where house repossessions are up 68% and around 2m people are unemployed. Football needs to return to being the 'affordable working class game' that it's foundations are built on!
My gut feeling is that our Neighbours in BD8 will again lead the way in championing affordable football and that Town will 'miss a trick' and increase them significantly'
Time will tell!

Miss a trick that would see us make massive losses on them again? It isn't viable for town to do a deal even close to last years. They will be £250 and above for adults i reckon

Look past their attendance fidling and our piss taking and they'd still get the highest gates in League2 and are probably the biggest club in it. They should in theory be able to buy their way out of League2 but don't seem to have any more money than anyone else down there. Do we want cheap tickets, no money and life in League 1 or a few less supporters but the cash to move on up. I'm not sure Hoyle is minted enough to bank roll us forever. I'm sure theres a happy medium to be found but tbh i'm not quite sure where that is.

I fear that you will be disappointed then because I would expect them to revert to normal which was around £300. I would hope that they would start at around £250, because let's be realistic this season we have far exceeded our income with our expediture (by at least £2M) and I am expecting another assault on the transfer market in the summer to give us some strikers who can actually find the back of the net. How is this to be financed? we can't expect Deano to put in £2M every season much as we would like it. It is imperative that we look to balance the books as boring as it may seem. In simple terms (ignoring concessions) 16000 @ £100 = £1.6M and 8000 @ £250 = £2M already an increase of 25% with the added bonus of 8000 more single match seats available to sell (2000 - 3000 quite easily if we have a winning team) @ £20 per game = a further £40K - £60K per game (x23 = 920K - £1.38M) In these simplistic terms then our Home support revenue could increase from approx £1.6M to £3.38M (with only 11,000 home fans per game)

As a personnal example is that all the newbies who have ST's in my group for the current season have all spent in excess of £100 each at the club shop and buy half time draw tickets and a programme for each game.
I know it's a balancing act but reduced ST's brings income from other sources. We have 2 new kits coming out next season. I will bet that the bigger the number of ST's we have than the more new shirts we sell.

£30 per season ticket holder x 16000 season ticket holders = enough to buy a striker.
Put them up and buy some quality players.

"My gut feeling is that our Neighbours in BD8 will again lead the way in championing affordable football and that Town will 'miss a trick' and increase them significantly"We can't have our cake and eat it antich! I don't see our neighbours making huge splashes in the transfer market, if it's affordable season tickets then it will be free transfers and affordable wages - which I am quite sure is not what Leigh Clarke was told at his interview. It's a sad fact that if we are to be ambitious on the field it has to be backed up by the main income stream into the club which at our level will always be season ticket and matchday gate revenue.

I have supported Town for a very long time but with things being tight I have other things that come above Town. I hope that the reduced season ticket price remains. More people in the stadium looks better. We could however do with more chanting etc. We have this thing of making a lot of noise away from home and not much at home, unless you count the slagging off of our own.

For those who only have 1 ticket to buy than good for them on forking out £250-£300. It's those with 2 or more to buy that it hits hardest! If my ST bill is around £500 next season than I will not be renewing. Nice shiny new strikers or not. £300-£350 max is the most I'm prepared to pay. I have a daughter starting college (who will need some finacing) and have more pressing priorities. It does not make people like me less of a supporter. However, the stark reality is that if it's the difference between buying educational material for Chazza and putting food on the table compared to watching a football game, I know where my priorities lie. Many people I talk to are watching the cost of every penny they spend and Town diehard or not these same people are looking for value for money!

We must become self sufficient to prosper long term.

Well, having lost my job due to the economic climate, I have decided to sacrifice the rest of the season to scrimp and save for next season.
I understand that the club needs to make money, however I can see about 6000 - 7000 season ticket holders next year. But as Dean Hoyle has said himself, we have made no money from walk ups this season - maybe this will where the club will get some of their much needed revenue next season.

We must become self sufficient to prosper long term. I agree. It's a hell of a balancing act in the current economic climate and one I don't think anyone can accurately produce. 92 clubs in all 4 divisions (including Cashchester United) will find income reduced next season. I also agree that we cannot expect Mr. Hoyle to pour money in.

Nobody should be even thinking of really cheap season tickets next year. It was a one off special offer, a very good one for which we should all be grateful, but Dean Hoyle had to pay for it out of his own pocket.
We should have no complaints about going back to a more normal price. If people can't afford it and have to pick and chose their games then so be it. Its the harsh reality of the current financial climate. The credit crunch isn't Dean Hoyles' fault and he shouldn't be expected to (effectively) pay half the price of everyones season ticket, as well as bankrolling all the signings that our impatient fans expect.
Hoyle will make the season tickets as cheap as he possibly can I'm sure of that, but £100 just doesn't make financial sense.

Its the boom and the subsequent failings in the housing market that have done it. No one is buying or selling houses - therefore no one needs a conveyancer. Count myself lucky as ex colleagues have not been paid for months when solicitors firms in Leeds have gone into administration.

I have every sympathy for each fan that will not be able to afford to buy a season ticket next year due to the inevitable price increase, I have been there myself and there is nothing worse than being sat at home, unable to afford to go, whilst the lads are playing at 3 o clock on saturdays
Sadly, it doesn't change the harsh reality that the significant increase is on the way and the £100 offer was a centenary 'Thank -you' to the fans.

I ain't a half wit........................

I fear that's tad harsh suggesting that these 'fans' will be weeded out by increasing the prices - Prices will increase but purely for financial reasons, and I have found wherever I sit, whatever the cost of the tickets there is always some clown that you find annoying - Thus year I have the guy with the loudest voice in the section on the row behind who within the first 5 mins of every game bawls "you can beat these Town they're sh it" closely followed by "get it on the the deck Town" after the opposing keeper has kicked it for our central defenders to head. Always good for a laugh!! I feel for the fans who will miss out due to affordability.

However 16,000 wouldn't buy tickets for £150, 16,000 wouldn't buy for £100, not this time, it would always drop after the first season, just look at Bradford. Secondly if 8,000 renew for £300, the club would make quite a bit from on the day sales, there would still be 3000-4000 fans who would come to at least 5 or 6 games a season. The cheap season ticket offer has cost the club at lot of money according to Deano, so it will not make financial sense to do it again.

I reckon we're going to be all surprised. The plan will be for as many as the 16000 to retain their seats. Lets face it - put the season ticket up to a 'estimated' price of between 250 - 350 and you're going to loose half of the the current batch.
With the 'expectation' and 'summer season signings' of next season, DH & NC will want to keep the momentum going, especially of how things are with peoples pockets.
I reckon a tag around £175 nicker for 'an extreme limited period' which will ensure 75% retain their seats. As I said........I reckon it's going to be a 'pleasant' surprise.

I like others have bills and bread to put on the table. Theres not only Mr Hoyle who is losing/lost money. And A handful from the squad are good enough to keep. The rest need to be off loaded. I have this thing regarding the Clarke brothers, I dont think either is worth keeping. Having said that Nat has had probably his best season for a long time but it is still short of the quality we need. As for Tom, Bradford could not wait to get him back to us. He is very twitchy and nervy. To stand any chance of promotion we need to stem the goals against. So I would start from the back and get a solid defence Now how does this add up Ray !! With the extra cash from the 8000 who can't afford a season ticket some will inevitably pick and choose their games say to the value of £150 which you quote above will bring in an extra £1.2m to fund your desired changes to the squad. I'm afraid you can't pick and choose Ray. You genuinely have my sympathy if you cannot afford to buy a season ticket next year but then don't go demanding wholesale changes to the squad which without a significant increase in the club's income cannot be realised.

If you have a cut off date for cheap season tickets it means you have got your money into the club funds before the season starts you therefor have money to spend on players if that is what is needed from the off.
In all honesty they could put it up to £500 for me. I would not go, simple as that. Those that can afford can be in a class or terrace of their own, with no muppets beside them.
It takes all kinds in this world, it would be a bloody boring place to live if we were all the same. Think about it. You, just like the guy sitting next to is allowed (so far) to express an opinion. If his is different to yours then discuss the matter. If he still has a different opinion, smack him in the mouth that solves all arguments. Subtlety.
