100% effort every game.
Doesn't compare with some of other useless wasters who think the world owes them a living.

The kids a terrier. If you think that chasing lost causes and putting yourself about does nothing for the cause just reflect on the impact he made on both team & fans when he came on.
He's even located the onion bag now!!!

Needs to score more, he's a striker isn't he. Granted he's ended up playing out wide this season. If he can get at least 12 - 15 goals in a season, and stay injury free, then yes he deseves a contract. If he can't though I'd let him go (history suggests that he won't).
Have to agree though, his attitude on the pitch, his effort and determination are second to none. Highlighted yesterday by at least 7 or 8 pussies that we're on the pitch with him.

His position is well covered. Get rid & put the money saved on his contract towards a new striker.

Just what is it he offers the team Russ?
Goals? Assists? He certainly offers plenty of injuries!
Granted he played well yesterday (Cheltenham are bottom of the league by a mile & relegation certainties dont forget), but he simply isn't going to be fit enough to warrant a new contract.
I cannot see Roberts, Pilkington & Cadamarteri playing in the same team next season (when hopefully we'll have 2 proper strikers) & thats before we talk about Ainsworth - who there must be more to come from. There's plenty of cover in his position.

Does not play often enough for me. Granted he puts himself about but playing but a handful of games each season is no good. I would have signed him on a play and pay basis. If he did not like it then I would have left him alone. There must be other players out there that are prepared to show the same commitment and start more games?

Ok he misses quite a few games through injury but when he plays he is constantly one of the top performers. His effort and attitude is exactly what we want at the club. He chases everything, he battles for everything, he wins a fair amount of headers. Great player. He's the exact opposite of Jokeavitch which can only be good. As far as offering him a new contract, it's a no brainer for me. Get him signed!!!!!

I rest my case Rocky!! We had a big difference of opinion on this one yesterday. I don't even need to start a separate thread on here because you are virtually the only person on here who can't see that Cadds has been the best player we've had whenever he's played. I notice you haven't used your quote from yesterday that he's "a complete waste of space". Football is all about opinions and it would be boring if we all agreed, but on this one mate i'm afraid you're wrong. See the poll as to whether people feel he should be offered a new contract. I would give him a pay as you play contract because I will admit he gets far too many injuries and doesn't play enough. However, if he didn't have all those injuries he'd probably be playing at a higher level than league 1.

Tough decision for Clark on whether to keep him; Cads certainly did himself no harm yesterday.
He puts effort in, and will always receive my full support because of that, but over the last two seasons he has missed a lot of football and hasn't been prolific by any stretch of the imagination.

Cads is awesome and was brilliant yesterday (still 2nd to Pilks IMO). However, my criticism on Cads would be that he is a very unintelligent footballer - he reminds me of Chris Brandon - very impulsive, reacts very quickly but rarely takes the time to think and spot the right pass or shot. His crossing is good though.
I do think we should give him a new contract - reduced terms with a big appearance bonus. Every team needs a player like him, and let's face it if he was an itelligent footballer he wouldn't be in the third tier.

He's hardly likely to accept a pay as you play contract at this stage in his career though is he? If he does get another contract, where are Town going to play him? Assuming Roberts is wide left, then Pilkington has to be wide right. Ainsworth also competes for that position. Do we really need 3 players completing for one place. Notice that you haven't repeated your comment from yesterday along the lines of 'Cadamarteri is miles better than that wanker Roberts' - see how many people agree with you on that! I'm not as anti Cadamarteri as you think. Its just that his injuries, lack of goals & the fact the he's 1 of 3 right wingers, leads to me suggest he shouldn't get another contract. As to the comparison with Roberts. He has 10 goals, Cadamarteri has 1. Dont know where to get the assists stats, but someone has posted on here that Cads has only 3 assists. You'd still have him in front of Roberts then??

The end is nigh ;D

We're all doomed. Rocky, don't pin your hopes on Ainsworth, he's a lightweight and his first touch is probably the worst I've ever seen. If he only applied the same level of aggression on the pitch as he does in the nightclubs then he may have a chance. I'd put Cads in the team every time above him, at least he puts some work in. There's no point in having anyone unless they are prepared to work. Ainsworth I think will be one of the worst signings this club has ever made.

Ainsworth I think will be one of the worst signings this club has ever made. Far too early to be saying that. Hereford fans thought he was the best player in league 1. He can't be all that bad. He showed what he could do against Hartlepool and Leeds, and once he gets his off the field problems sorted I'm sure he'll be a good player for us.

Ainsworth is just another erratic winger, 1 good game in 4 at best. Can't see him being consistant, unless it's consistantly bad. Time will tell, but he's better than Kamara at least.

I know an overrated footballer when I see one. The boy has one thing going for him, his pace, that's all. He could not lace Pilkingtons boots and has not got anything special about him at all. He is as one footed as Roberts but not quite as good with the one he has as Roberts is. That attempted finish when through against Millwall was about as bad as it can get. Our only hope is that he gets prosecuted when he's in court and we can cut our lossess and get him out on gross missconduct. He's a waster.
