Can't argue with that. He has been back to his best this season.

Yep he's been pretty solid this year. Having a decent keeper behind him can't have hurt him either!

AWFUL decision in my opinion, what about the likes of Smithies, coming in on his debut and saving a peno at Southend, and drawing loads of plundits.
Even Caddas, He's really turned his life around this season, with none stop consistantly good performances, and great determination

I wouldn't call it an AWFUL decision - I don't think anyone has been outstanding this season. Cadders has given most entertainment along with Roberts.

Perhaps you could have 'potentially great player of the half season' for Smithies OR 'intermitant player of the season' for all those who play 1 in 5 games like Cads!! OR A 'player of the season (as long as it's not Nathan Clarke)' for all those sheep that shoot 'hoof' everytime he kicks the ball and can't see beyond that!!!!

Well deserved i say, wasnt in the team at start of season, forced his way in and has been consistent since! odd one or two bad games, but even my other choice gary roberts had that run of 8-10 games when he was gash!

Smithies has done v well but he isnt much better if any than glennon right now - although before i get hammered by all and sundry he does have vast potential!! Midge - for once you are spot on!

Can't really argue with that decision, he has put in some fantastic performances.
I would say however that Robbie Williams is our most improved player over the past 6 months or so IMHO.

Correct decision has been the most consistent performer over the last two seasons, has cut out the mistakes and become more assured on the ball.
For me this season there hasn't being anyone to touch him for this award.
Well done Nathan hopefully he can go into next season on a high alongside a new centre back.

Yeah your right, despite having a crap manager for a good chunk of the season and a bloody dire strikeforce we're absolutely miles off the play-offs aren't we?

Still the same team, Managers don't kick the ball do they? play offs is 2nd prize anyway isn't it? and then only 1 team goes up. 1st prize is Automatic and we were bloody miles away from that.
Player of the year is a Journeyman defender in a team consisting of has-beens, journeymen and wasters.
Not good enough.

So you think teams in the play-offs are mediocre? "Best player in a mediocre team" you said. We need to improve for sure, i don't disagree with that fact at all but to call us mediocre is harsh to say the least!

If we weren't mediocre, we'd be either promoted or relegated wouldn't we?
Edit:
where do I say teams reaching the playoffs are mediocre?

Mediocre or underperforming, whichever you choose? I chose underperforming because I have seen what the team can do when they play to their potential? Scunthorpe away was one of the best performances ive seen by an opposition team this season and we out played them (Just!) outbattled them and got the 3 points, so I have seen what we CAN do? we just dont do it week in week out!!!
