Taken from the unexamined website today, 'the Jonathan Tehoue deal could yet be resurrected', I don't know why (the pootube clip?), but i really want to see him in a Town shirt. Infact he excits me more than any other forward we are after

If we got Tehoue I think we could be that bullying team next season. Scare the lives out of teams.

Tehoue would be a fantastic player at Town. Definitely something we haven't had in a long time.

Don't forget Clark had him at Town a good few weeks and saw him play a good few matches - so it really depends what you think of him and his team's judgement of a player.

I'd love to see him play for Town. You could tell the Fenerbache players had no idea how to deal with him. Pace and power will frighten the 3rd division players to death.

You have brayed the nail, firmly on the head berty. Skill and the ability to pick out passes is not a necessity at this level, we need a striker who can knock players off and stab the ball home. Just imagine Tehoue playing against Clarke and Butler. Based on the you tube clip, he would kill them.

he's trained with us for a while so i assume clark knows if he's good enough or not. cant be worse than jevons anyway.

What are you on about? It is not as if made a panic loan signing from Everton.
Oh, wait he did.
Now it is slightly different. If he is still interested it must mean he has something. Probably.

I would be happy to see Tehoue sign, along with Simpson and one other striker
That would give us Tehoue, Simpson, new striker, Novak, Parker, Jevons and Denton.
Really need to offload those 3 wasters or Deano's bank balance will be taking a hit again

A short term deal - 1 or 2 years max should be ok, assuming clark rates him that highly. These types of deal are all a bit risky, but we could pick up a gem who will act as the catalyst for our success. Difficult one, but if he has trained for several weeks with us and done well and clark wants him as an unknown impact player then maybe worth a punt.

I wonder what he has been up to in Paris. Im sure i read he had been in Paris since he left us while FIFA fanny about trying to reach a decision. If he hasn't been training with a side, it could take him quite a while to get back up to speed, so if we could get him signing in time for the start of pre season it would be a big bonus

Gives town some more power upfront. Also Andy Holdsworth said he would score a few gpals

Going back to the you tube clip, yes everything he did looked like it was 50/50 whether it was great or crap, but what wasn't in doubt was that he was a real handful for a champions league team.
Besides, if, as a striker, he is a real handful for a Div 3 team one game in four, it would still be a better situation than we had last season, except for Boothy's cameo at the end.

Yes, but wasn't Clark maybe clutching at straws by then... it being so late in the transfer window? If he was just clutching at straws back then, he wouldn't be considering signing him now. I'm right behind Clark, but he's not infallible. He had the same time to look at Werlinger (and then some)... and still got him very wrong! It happens. I'll hazard a guess that Tehoue's not in his top five choices (of those we could reasonably sign) even now.

Maybe not, but the lad must have something about him otherwise he'd have called off the transfer as soon as it started to get complicated. I think a lot of the problem with Werling (and Jukeivitch) was their attitude rather than their ability anyway, and he's now had plenty of time to decide whether Tehoue will fit in or not.

Tehoue might be ok as a 3rd choice providing we bring in 2 decent forwards. I think i'd have concerns should unproven Novak, unproven Tehoue, proven gash Parker, proven gash Jevons, unproven Denton be fighting it out for the front line.
Perhaps Boothy would have to dust off the old boots again ;D
