Why would you not play a player who runs at defences like he does, he's the only player we've got who can do that.

Cracking goal and also a decent through ball for Beckford's second, which he took bloody well. Certainly has talent and hopefully the assist shows there's some vision in there too

Your own words.... "any criticism of his endeavours is marked by a lack of intelligence" It's pretty clear that you think anyone who has a different opinion to you is an idiot or lacks in intelligence. It's also equally clear that opinion is divided on Scannell on here and with intelligent people on both sides of the fence. Thick as fuck Hmmm you're a smear on the intelligence of the pro-Scannell camp.

Context his everything. He produced in one match here what he has created the whole season. I for one am obviously delighted but he will have to do it through to the end of the season to convince me. That said, really hope he turns into our saviour and I can join the backslappers.

Thing is though, as much as his contribution this season hasn't been enough, you can see blatant talent in there. Very rarely do you get players at this level with strength, good control and decent acceleration. If he had the fitness and the vision to go with it, he would be that £5m player Grayson described. That's a big 'if' though, but hopefully the through ball was a sign he does have other facets to his game.

give him a free role behind jv and we will easily stay up this guy terrorises defences when he picks the ball up and runs at them from central position, leave him on the wing and starve him of possession and you will get naff all from him, take heed bobbbins
