There's a real Johnny Gobshite doing loads of shouting on the Barnsley bench. I could hear him on the YouTube feed.. Was is the bald guy? The pitch next door looked much better to me also.

I would imagine the U21s play on that, same at Town, the U21s play on the front pitch the U18s over the canal. Know your place.

Like you, I watched on YouTube - when it was running. As I said in the thread, I never saw the goal as the picture died for me at that moment.

The pitch behind the goal to the right is a 3G pitch, so I'm not sure they're allowed to play competitive games on it.

Seems silly to have the seated area there though if that's the case?

Will they be a stream? Chelsea’s Under-18s continue their FA Youth Cup campaign tomorrow evening [Tuesday] as they take on Huddersfield Town at Aldershot, in a fourth-round tie being screened live on Chelsea TV.

Quite a nice piece on the Chelsea website, i like the comment related to Leeds! ......Huddersfield ply their trade in the tier below the Blues, as an academy awarded category two status, and currently sit top of their division. They knocked out Crystal Palace in the last round and, coupled with a run to the quarter-finals last season that saw them defeat Manchester United before eventually going down to our opponents in the final, Fulham, their Youth Cup pedigree ensures Edwards is taking their threat seriously.
‘They had a great run last year and started this campaign by beating Palace, who are always a difficult opponent at youth team level. We’ve seen DVDs of their games and Huddersfield are a good side; they get the ball down on the floor and try to play so it’ll be a bit of a different test to Leeds but we look forward to that.
‘Even though they’re playing at a different level to us in the league, they are a team that wins a lot of games and we know how much winning football matches helps to breed confidence. They have the motivation of going away to the holders and they have a few players with a decent amount of experience in this competition now so it’s going to be a good test for us.’

Town 2-0 Rotherham, 2 x Jake Charles. 15 minutes gone. First appearance for Charles since returning from injury.

Rotherham forum seem to suggest they had a strong side out and should have walked it going by team sheets. They're not happy with the result.

Town midfield of Billing, Holmes and Tronstad all played well . Gerrard organised defence. Rotherham, had Skarz, Pringle, Bowery and home fans fancied their chances but after brief spell first 10 minutes where Rotherham pushed forward, Town then settled down and looked technically more skillful. First goal slightly against run of play but excellent finishing. Third goal, superb header that killed the game. Rotherham started second half brightly but chances restricted to long range. Raynor on their bench just kept moaning to the referee and to his own bench.

Anyone who has an apple tablet - if you download live media player - think it's free or only couple of quid if not - then search for Chelsea TV - should be able to view it
Not sure if it's on android this app

Just had to switch off from watching the Chelsea feed...after half an hour we are 3 down but it's not the gulf in class (which is obvious) that has put me off but the incredibly smug, arrogant bastards commentating on Chelsea tv

I don't know what the rules are with bidding for players that are on loan, but Matt Smith is on fire for Bristol and is the type of player we're after. He won't be getting in Fulham's side any time soon so I reckon they'd sell..

Was that 2 goals and an assist for Charles? Great to see him back playing again. He's been consistently good coming through the youth teams over the last few years and it looks highly likely he'll be knocking on the first-team changing-room door before long. Depending on how our season plays out, I reckon he may get a few cameo appearances later down the line. Not sure how old he is without looking it up (18 or 19?), but age is just a number; ability is what matters. I would put money on him being a regular for the first team next season. UTT

Watched the u18s this morning for first time in a while, must say very impressed with a fine performance in a convincing 4-1 win against Sheffield United at Canalside.Bearing in mind the way they lost at Chelsea only 3 days ago it was a great way to respond to such a defeat. The lads Booty,Senior & the Irish boy at centre half looked very good in what was an all round determined team display. The academy looks in great shape going forward.

We just need a ReadingTerrier thread about how great the academy is after a resounding win but somehow I doubt it will happen. It's just symptomatic how kneejerk this board is when a bad defeat (at any level now) means some demand an major inquest.

On the website today it says if we win we're through, if we lose we're out. Anyone knows what happens if we draw? Cheers
