I do agree regarding Holmes, though. Played well and oozes confidence.

Development Team v Colchester Allinson, Hanson, Senior, Holmes, Wilkinson, Horsfall, Tronstad, Billing, Coughlan, Pyke, Bojaj. Booty came on for Holmes and Coughlan was also replaced after having a quiet game. Best players for me were Holmes who hit some great free kicks and shots on goal but failed to score. Tronstad was excellent with some great tackles and lay offs and the goals came from Bojaj, Billing, Pyke in the first half then Hanson to make it 4 nil right at the end of the game. Our defence on the whole looked comfortable and Allinson had only a few saves to make. Charles and Boyle did not play so we may see them involved tomorrow. How can you not mention Hanson? Stand out Man of the Match for me. Impresses every time I see him and today he was awesome, both attacking and defending. And that's even without his goal, which I missed (92nd minute). Tommy Smith will be sweating.Yes if hes not careful, Powell may take the risk of allowing Hanson to travel with the squad!

Sorry yes Hanson did have a good game however so did a few others. I agree if he continues to progress then Smith will have to watch out. Thanks also for the update on Boyle and Charles.

I thought we might be seeing Tronstad, Billing or Holmes in the Notts County match tomorrow. Probably not now. Could mean that Powell may going for it with the first team. Would be nice to have a little cup run for once.

Why hasn't Jordan Williams started his sholarship yet?
I am sure he is just one year younger then Booty and Boyle, who started theirs last season

Our strikers seemed a tad wasteful in their chance taking, despite the one sided scoreline

As if there wasn't already enough to get depressed about it would seem Boyle and Charles have returned from their loans, presumably because it was clear they weren't going to play

5-5 now at QPR. Holmes 2, Bojaj, Boyle and Tronstad for Town. Can't wait for these highlights.... Gobern and Hoilett got 4 of QPR's 5.
Not bad for our kids with not one overaged player, oh I forget just as this latest crop seem to be getting better, we should close the academy down because of our ill informed eejits on the main board.

Might as well seeing ss they're not playing for their respective loan clubs but it doesn't mean they're back early.

Quite surprised by Billing's lowlights on the clip, I don't want to put too much sway into 5 mins highlights of a single game but Holmes and Charles both looked the better prospects.

Have to agree Doc re Billing. he needs a rocket somewhere. Caught in possession for 2 goals, generally strolling around the pitch. dreadful lowlights, hope it was a one off or as you say just 5 mins snapshot but I suspect not. Nowhere near the first team, expect Tronstadt debut soon imo.

I bet you are one of many on here that consistently slag off duane holmes how he has not been on the bench more under powell especially instead of majewski I will never know he is taylor made for the last 20 mins of a match when defenders have tired

Acadmey confirmed as no good by Hoyle tonight and he says it has to improve massively. We're trying to loan the youngsters out but struggling to find takers. We had to sign Hiwula and Dempsey cheap to hopefully sell on at profit rather than invest in the first team as the academy isn't producing anyone worth selling for a large amount.
