Very brief highlights. Allinson made a great save late in the first half, we both hit the post in the second. Would have been good to see the penalty dive again too. DTS must have got cold or something.

Huddersfield 2 Bolton 1 Squad Tadhg Ryan, Tronstad, Senior, Booty, Wilkinson (capt), Hanson, Holmes, Coughlan, Bojaj, Pyke, Ben Homes Subs Charles, Guthrie, Jack Boyle, Cogill, Spencer. Coughlin put Town 1 nil up and had a great game. Bolton equalised shortly after half time then with good town pressure Bolton were forced into conceding an own goal which saw Town ride out the game as 2 1 winners. This is the tenth win on the trot and was well deserved as players such as Tronstad (right back) , Coughlin and Holmes had excellent games playing a very attack minded / pressing formation. I do think that we will see the likes of Hanson pressing for a first team place in the none too distant future. Wagner was there watching and will be pleased with the skill and commitment shown by our younger players many of which may figure in our first team squad in the coming months. The only disappointment for me was Bojaj who since being called into the first team squad seems have dropped off in performance for the under 21s. Well done and congratulations go to Frankie Bunn and his squad.

Senior, Lynch, Cranie, Hanson. Back 4 by the end of the season. I think we have 2 top prospects at full back with Jacob Hanson and Jack Senior. I also think Will Boyle is good enough already, he is strong, quick and organises the back four well for someone as young as he is. It's time Sondre Tronstad was given a chance as well. Flo Bojaj is a star in the making up front - he can score goals as well as hold the ball up and bring other players into play and he rarely gives the ball away.

Wouldn't surprise me if they converted Hanson to CB, tronstad my get a game especially in wagners formation and how much the fullbacks push on over the half way line could suit him down to the ground.

Agree with your comment about Tronstad but Hanson is such a good athlete I think he would make a better wingback than being restricted to a centre back role. I think the future is very good regarding the youngsters, especially with Wagner in charge. He was very enthusiastic sat in the stand watching the Bolton game yesterday, applauding the play on quite a few occasions.

Very good win against a higher rated academy. Not the greatest game and a few poor performances but they always stick together as a team. Two great goals.

Good win for U21's in the premier league cup, beating middlesbrough 2-1 .. That'll make it eleven straight wins and counting then! With the U-18 player Jack Boyle scoring the winner.

This is an incredible run the Under 21s are putting together and a real credit to the club. I cant see us getting past Chelsea in the cup but with the money they put in to buy these young lads we are doing astoundingly well! I wouldn't be surprised to see some get first team game time over the coming months, for injuries and suspensions if nothing else.

Went to watch the u18s on Saturday and Boyle had a poor game, mentioned it to the bloke next to me. Turns out it was his Dad. Very good cameo today, looks more comfortable at u21 level. Pitch didn't help today. Can only assume they haven't been able to cut it in this weather. Could only see the top half of Duane Holmes.

A good win and luckily for me a chance meeting with John Coddington. I of course apologised for my accidental collision with him all those years ago, not surprisingly he couldn't recall it, (it was 57 years ago) but jokingly did say he remembered kicking me. Accompanied with his son Matthew ex Boro reserve keeper here to watch Luke, John's grandson playing in goal. He did say he wished he was out there playing still.

A right player was Coddington...there was a story doing the rounds he used to work in a Mill in Milnsbridge on Saturday mornings, then get the trolley bus down to the ground for the game...?

Deserved the win today thought the back four eye excellent barring the odd bit of overplaying, Coughlan and Bojaj were impressive and Boyle had lots of energy when he came on. Good all round team performance!

I hadn't heard that one, but it wouldn't surprise me considering footballers wages in those days. Still looking good, tall, strong, lean and mean and incredibly,,, 78 next week.

Sorry htfchungary however I thought Wilkinson in particular had a very poor game and was responsible for giving away the ball for them to score. Across the team passes went astray and tackles were not made, as if the team had played like they did against teams such as Nottingham they would have won at a canter. In saying that Boyle looked really sharp when he came on and Bojaj did show a great improvement on his previous outings. All in all a good win against a supposedly higher class opposition and hopefully the current run of wins can continue

Not using the pitch as an excuse (same for both sides) but it's beginning to look a mess, anyone else notice how the grass has disappeared right up to the touchline marking as well? No doubt all the recent rain has caused the damage.

Think you were stood directly in front of me having that exact conversation at half time.

They've certainly played better.

Although to be fair the team as a whole looked a bit off. I also think Booty (playing CM) had a poor game on the ball, but didn't do bad without it. I don't think that stops the team as a whole playing well though. Wilkinson definitely made the error for the goal and needs to improve with the ball at his feet to make the step up. However apart from that their CFs never got hold of the ball or won a header and Wilkinson did work the set piece brilliantly with header for the first goal. Do do you not think they deserved to win?
