It sounds like Siewert will be more open to giving lads from the academy their chance judging by that and what he said in his press conferencve today

Was great to see youth given a chance and deliver. Duhaney Bacuna Billing & Grant all under 21 & Stankovic 23 a shot of real optimism for next season for the first time in months.

U17 won 2-0 at Notts Co. this morning despite having two sent off in first half at same time. Not sure why but sounds like a tasty encounter!

Good to see some of the Academy lads in the first team squad, Duhaney, Rowe, Daly.
Do we recon there will be anymore before the end of the season? Scott High, Jake Barrett, Micah Obiero??

Dean is delighted too as he says there is some good things happening in the academy and there decision to overall it was right because despite the efforts it wasn't producing.

Philip Billing called up to the Denmark senior side. Does anyone know the last time an academy graduate got a full international call up, or if it's even happened before?

Otium currently backtracking to say it does not count until Denmark win the World Cup with Billing scoring a hat trick, as captain.

To answer my own question, it looks like Phil is the first full international who played for a Town youth team since Delroy Facey for Granada in 2011, unless you count Frazier Campbell, who was briefly at the club as a 10 year old. Last one to play for a major international side was Michael O' Grady for England in 1969. Last one to do so while still at the club was Ray Wilson in 1964.

Wouldn't it be Frank Worthington or Trevor Cherry as the last one to come through and play for England

U19's taking a leaf out of the first team's book by throwing away a two goal lead at Derby to draw 2-2 U/17’s did the same, up 2-0 inside the first 25’ and conceded in injury time to draw 2-2. Kian Harrat scored again, poacher goal with a well timed run. Second that they scored was a bit messy but Harrat missed a header from 3 yards and it hit and went in off a Town player who didn’t know much about it(probably wasn’t expecting Harrat to have an air swing with the header).

Could we see this lad in Jan's thinking next season? It an interesting one is this. The last striker I can remember scoring so many at Junior Level was Boothy. Don't think either Delroy Facey or Michael Midwood scored so many in a season. I recon the club will do one of 2 things next season. Either get him in and around the first team squad from a training perspective and play him in the Elite Development Team. Or they will loan him out to a Non league team. It'll all depend on what they think would be best for his development. Train with men but play against boys OR Train against men and play against men

As the season closes and each age group steps up, I have been looking at who might step up to add to the 1st team squad.
We have a few who I imagine will sign/have signed professional forms. Jaden Brown: leftback, Demeaco Duhaney: Rightback (already made debut), Rarmani Edmonds-Green: Centreback, Mat Daley: Centre-mid, Lewis O'brien: Attacking-mid, Arron Rowe: Forward, Rekeil Pyke(Maybe): Striker.
It will be interesting to see how many do progress at Huddersfield.

A proud day for the son of one of DATM's own (midge) to be signed up by Town.
Good luck to him, and all the others.
