They are. Regardless of how much we dislike them they are a big club. For anyone under 16 it may appear different but its not long ago this lot were in the semi final of the champs league....potentially a top 10 prem club but that's all it is anymore POTENTIAL

Part of me wishes I hadn't seen the interview. Now, everytime I hear or see McDermott, I just think "Shut your f***ing mouth. Go to work." This is how my Twitter timeline appears; "Shut you're f***king mouth Charles ... Brian"

Cellino: "he’s always on television complaining about money, complaining about market, what does that fucking work with the players. That talk. You just good talking with the fucking television. Shut your fucking mouth. Go to work.” Joking aside, he's bang on here about McDermott. Constantly going on about not having the right players; not having the money to rebuild his own team; dropping the ownership situation into interviews at random to subtly take the blame away from him. All talk. Cellino sounds like a nutter but sacking McDermott wouldn't be a bad thing at all for Leeds.

Whoever takes on that club has a massive job on their hands and the first job will be to stop the losses and keep the club out of administation. In business when similar situations occur the most expensive part of the company is the first to be scrutinised and that is the people who work there. At Leeds it is clear with a £18m wage bill that this will have to be tackled and that can only mean selling players to balance the books and get the wages down not only to comply with FFP but for the club to survive. They will have to start again with a weaker squad next season. It could be decades before they are anywhere near the Premiership and if Cellino doesn't get the nod then admin surely beckons followed by a fire sale.

Surely they are not solvent in any way? Fair question farsley but the administrators are called in by the business to work with the Directors principally to protect the business from its creditors. The Directors do not have any power once they have called in Administrators but work with them to try and find a way of keeping the business going. This usually involves a Company Voluntary Agreement(CVA) whereby the Administrators agree with creditors what they will be paid. This is what happened to HTFC. IF an agreement cannot be reached then a possible next step is liquidation.

Perhaps Ken Davey can buy them for a couple of quid (after admin of course) doubt uncle ken would be interested as all the assets (except perhaps some goldfish) have already been striped from the club from the sounds of it

If I were the Administrators i'd be concerned immediately with the lack of assets they have. They have Players, but that's about it. The Transfer window is closed so they can't move them on, only loan them out... assuming someone wants them. How can you negotiate with, or pay creditors when you have no immediate assets? Which is why i suggested Liquidation as being a possible option. I'm sure that there must be some creditors tempted to issue winding up orders, knowing if the go the admin route they havent got a cat-in-hells chance of getting their money back. Thats if Mr Cellinos appeal fails.

A Football League spokesman said:
"Massimo Cellino's appeal under The Football League's Owners' and Directors' Test has now concluded with the Independent QC reserving his judgment."
So the wait goes on at Beeston

<< a Twitter account that has since been deleted which operated under the hand @gfhrevealed released a series of worrying photographs that implied David Haigh had been stretching the truth about his past employment and that he in fact owned a homosexual escort service in Brighton. Whilst obviously he is free to do what he wants in his spare time, it made Leeds fans wonder if all was what it seemed at their beloved, troubled club. >>
Is this for real ??

Arrogance and delusion on a grand scale. The extraordinary thing is, not a single one of them seems to recognise this in themselves or in each other. I know quite a few really intelligent, personable chaps who are Leeds fans who turn into complete blind fools once they start talking about football and particularly their 'massive' club. They all deserve one another, as far as I can see.

You couldn't meet a nicer well educated bloke , but come 3pm Saturday on a matchday he turns into Mr leeds utd , including that Neanderthal like grunting chant.. Born and bred in huddersfield but he hates town with a passion . Although he has said now he's "done wi em" , but hell probably be back there when they're in the champions league once again...

A siege mentality thing, universally loathed so we all stick together more than most. The Leeds Salute when spotting a fellow Leeds Fan anywhere in the World as a unique example.
Whatever anybody thinks we are proud of our club and anybody who has played for the team, 95% of ex-players are warmly welcomed back to ER and 95% of those players speak passionately of their time with Leeds and will not have a word said against the club or the fans.
Of course every clubs fans are fiercely passionate in their support of their team but many clubs have a larger percentage who are indifferent, we generally do not have many of those because being a Leeds Fan you are always met with a strong rival opinion, never ever an indifferent shrug of the shoulders (Thank God!)
Can understand that blind, loyal, fiercely passionate support can be seen as arrogance by many, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Bland United? Not a chance!

I said 95% The word 'Cowards' always springs to my mind when your club's name is mentioned, followed closely by the word bribing. Your club is the most despised in English football. Your fans depend on your large numbers to enhance their cowardly behaviour. OAPs and the Disabled, women and kids are what your cowards like to prey on. I came across lots of your lot in the armed forces, not many good ones believe me.
