I only see one outcome. Dean will be alarmed , angry & shocked at our form. Robins won't be here next season IMO.

Didn't deano say that he speaks to Robins every day ? This was on TV a few months back.. I'm 100% certain he will be having words...of encouragement..offering to bring a loanee in etc...he'll be trying to help and support his manager in every way he possibly can..Dean runs that club and I think he's very much 'hands on'. You can be sure everything Robins knows about the squad of players, dean and his fellow Directors also know, as it should be...and plans will already be in place for next season...subject to what league we are in....
Robins has shown a lot of loyalty to his current players, unfortunately he is being let down by a few of them...that won't be forgotten I don't expect.

Nowt worse than the dreaded vote of confidence. Dean's silence is an indication of his faith in Robins IMO.

Dean Hoyle will be regretting not sacking MR about 10 games ago I'm sure. But I'm not now is the right time to sack him. I remember Gerry Murphy taking over near the end of the season, had a few good results and then was given the job of dishing out contracts and proceeded in handing 5 year contracts to about 5 of his youngsters who were never good enough and have played most of there football in the bottom division. At least MR now knows what a pile of xxxx we have and he can get rid when the season is over. So Dean Hoyle like us will be praying that we survive by other teams not getting enough points to overtake us. That's our only hope cos we having got a win in us. 10 games ago we beat Barnsley 5-0. Yes ok I didn't check. I would have given MR a written warning after going out of the fa cup and then the sack after the Leeds game.

Thing is our form has been all over the place all season. Some games we've looked brilliant like we did down at Reading, other weeks we've looked clueless like we did against the Wendies and obviously against Ipswich the team looked totally disinterested. It's down to the manager to get the players performing consistently but when the only thing we've been consistent at all season is conceding from set pieces then you're always going to lose valuable points. I don't think sacking Robins will be any good at the moment unless he's completely lost the dressing room.

Any statement from Mr Hoyle can only undermine the manager, hence the silence. Is that true? Surely as the "Boss" of Town he is the one that the "Customers" (us fans) listen to the most. Why, because in the past he has earned our trust. He is also the one that knows the most about how our club is functioning - long term plans/immediate plans/goals etc. He is the only one that can make the decisions that steer us in the right direction. Now don't get me wrong, I am not just talking about sacking someone I am talking about any change he feels is right to keep us on track with the plan. He may be doing this, I don't know, but that is my point. As Customers we are not being told how we are going (to plan). We can all see where we are and some, if not most, of us are worried. So where is the calming voice from Dean saying "It's okay I am doing everthing that is required to keep us on track, we will be okay"? To me silence is not the answer to help allay your customer's fears. Dean (The Businessman) needs to start treating HTAFC like a proper business and start addressing his customer's needs. THe customers don't need telling we are not playing well at the moment, in the same way we wouldn't expect to be told how great we are in a win streak. Any statement now will be seen as a 'vote of confidence' and not be productive or a positive statement. Best for Mr H to keep stum...

In January 2013 i was stunned that despite a precarious league position we did not strengthen the team by using the loan market to help us with the run in. I believe i came on here and said that something had changed with Deano. As usual i was lambasted for daring to suggest that DH was gambling on our Championship status by the inactivity. Compared to how he had done everything he could back in L1 i found it hard to take in. Especially in a season when we had sold JR. How could we just leave it to chance in the hope Beckford would be fit. This season injuries to key players such as Lynch and later Vaughan have once again not been covered with the loan market when it was clear the back up ctre back situation was not good enough. We all know the ridiculous striker situation that left us with only two first team strikers even after the arrival of wells. So why no back up when patto was loaned out?
So its my view that Deano cant really say anything. He should have released funds to cover key positions and Robins should have gone the night he told us he couldnt play with two strikers. He has defended Robins to the extent that Robins felt confident enough to come out with the DNA nonsense like it or lump it attitude. Its as much his fault as it is Robins , and i find it a bit rich that he allowed his manager to break his word (patto been told he had come to play as a main striker)something which we couldn't do as a club when it came to JR just think of the repercussions they all cried if we went back on our word. I dont see how he can defend the manager, defend the team or his own decisions some am not surprised at all that there is silence. Mind you with all the off the field progress we should have enough to stay up shouldnt we ?

He needs to go down to the gym & see how unfit they are, then he'll know the real issues.

I don't think sacking Robins will be any good at the moment unless he's completely lost the dressing room. I suspect he possibly has lost a lot of them, but we need a clearout so a lot of the dressing room shouldn't be here next season anyway. Larry lost the dressing room, if Robins has as well - the common denominator is the players, many of whom are either not good enough or not mentally tough/motivated enough. I think bringing in a new manager would be a mistake. New guy comes in, he'll spend time assessing the squad - they'll perform for him at first & once it seems like we've assured our place in the division they'll fail to perform for him too... ad infinitum. Get shut of underperforming players & replace with Robins' squad. If the new squad doesn't perform either, move Robins on & bring in somebody else but IMO the biggest problem is with the playing staff.

Just look at Goburn, sweating like a glassblower's arse after 20 mins and usually hauled off after an hour. He's by no means the only one who struggles either.

Quick multiple choice question. If you were Dean Hoyle would you A) think "f*** it I'll go do something else and leave em to lower league one obscurity" B) think "f*** it I'll go do something else and leave em to lower league one obscurity" Or C) think "f*** it I'll go do something else and leave em to lower league one obscurity"

Moaner has a good point re fitness levels.
The players come in at 9, have breakfast at Canalside at 9:15, are out on the field for 10, back in for 11, showered, massaged for 12 in time for lunch. They're then out of the car park by 12:30 if they can be.
I'm not a sports scientist or fitness expert, so I've no idea if this is spot on or not, but to me it seems a bit minimal to say the least...

D}think "f*** it I'll go do something else and leave em to lower league one obscurity" or E) "F*** it I'll stick with it as there's more than enough happy clappers on Datm to try to drown out the dissenters." And no I'm not having a go at him (or you) and yes he has done wonders for this club, but he does make mistakes like everybody else (not signing Lambert was his biggest and he's said as much), and as such we paying customers have the right to question him from time to time or have a right to expect him to come out and say what he really thinks about our current plight.
