I have seen all the fml stuff with grown men on about about meetings, gang names, flags etc,and although it's not up my street at all, I was wondering what sort of numbers of people we are expecting in there each game?

Talk about derogatory.
No idea until next season. Let's just enjoy trying to make something different happen with those who we do know are going in yes?

Christ on a bike Woolley, we're grown men who care about how many times a ball gets kicked between a pair of goalposts - is it really such a great leap to have these same grown men trying to improve the matchday atmosphere?
People complain that it's like a morgue at times, then when somebody tries to improve things, people complain about that too.

Christ on a bike.. if that replaced giddy penalties at half time that would get em rocking on the terraces

I would expect about 500 generally with that quite easily doubling for the bigger games.

That was condescending. I love Saturdays at games in the company of young at heart grown men. Each to their own but harsh attempting to criticise the enthusiasm of others.

Listen, I hope it does improve the matchday experience, it's great to have meetings arranged at the canalside to agree incentives and it very much fits in with what the club want to do. Songs, flags etc, I'm actually in support of that.
But when the gang name was being debated, I'm afraid the credibility went out of the window at that point in my opinion.
Sorry if I offend, we all have our opinion.

Lol dig1, I liked your post cos it was funny but honestly mate, at the age of 49 I would much rather have A fridge full of corona in a 5 star hotel than being part of a gang.

With a knock kneed chicken and a bow legged hen, I haven't had a fight since I don't know when And we don't give a widdle and we don't give a wank,We are the Cowshed Boot Boys.Having a "gang name" is nowt new. A name might grow out of nothing. Or it might start as one thing & evolve into something else. Spontaneity of the old days though is going to be a bit harder to achieve. We're not as free to move around, and attendances are bigger. It needs more organisation than it did a few decades ago. Having a gang name gives us something to print on a really big flag as well.

Ok uwh fair enough, but gang names normally evolve so they have some kind of meaning. They're not agreed on a forum and then changed till it fits what the majority feel.
Still not for me though.......

Why do we need a gang name to print on a flag? "HTFC" or "Yorkshire" are surely adequate?

Anyway, I'm not that bothered what happens in the fml so I'll stick to the other parts of the forum.
Good luck with the gang bang.

Have you forgotten you've got a thread requesting peoples help elsewhere on the forum? How about showing some humility instead of acting like a hormonal teenage prick? I hope you achieve your targets for your mate Dan, and please god I hope his battles with cancer get easier from here on in, but let me tell you,you ain't helping his cause a right lot with your petulant attitude on here.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Fully sympathise with your friend Woolly and commend your efforts in raising money to help him, but your attitude on here is clearly an attempt to belittle others so you're doing yourself no favours. Of course your friends illness is much more important than football and a home end, but we're trying to do something good, as you are. Don't come on here being all condescending if you're going to expect the opposite from us for your cause.

If your not embarrassed, you should be. Whether people like the way it's been delivered Cancun Kid does make a valid point. If he feels alienated by us all giving ourselves a "gang name", maybe a lot of others do too. A few more questions: How old are those of us discussing this? If we're all just a clique (I hate the word, but I can see it becoming one) of under 40s, we risk losing a lot of older, noisy buggers. Are those who are staying away from this section of the forum doing so because they're alienated by something (e.g. having a name)? Are those who are alienated by it going to make much noise if they're part of this "ultras" thing? I'm in favour of having a name. I think that whatever is decided, we can't rely on things happening spontaneously (we've been in this ground for 20 years now, if it was going to happen spontaneously then it would have done so by now). It needs some organisation. However, if it's better that we don't have a name, I'm happy with that too. Whether or not to have a name is worth discussing IMO.

Out of order reply. A man asking for help for his mate with cancer has no relevance to some middle aged blokes who want to be 18 again at a football match. Piss poor in my opinion.

Out of order reply. A man asking for help for his mate with cancer has no relevance to some middle aged blokes who want to be 18 again at a football match. Piss poor in my opinion. it might of been his gang bang reference that upset people( i know you know what it is but i cant resist pasteing it) A gang bang is a situation in which one person engages in physical sexual activity with several individuals sequentially or at the same time. [1] Normally, there is a single individual who is the central focus of the sexual activity; for example, one man or woman surrounded by several men or women. Rather than serial couplings by two people, the gang bang is defined by the number and simultaneity of the various sex acts, such as vaginal, anal or oral sex or double penetration. Gang bangs are not defined by the precise number of participants, but usually involve more than three people and may involve a dozen or more. When the gang bang is organized specifically to culminate with the (near) simultaneous or rapid serial ejaculations of all male participants on the central man or woman, then it may be referred to by the Japanese term bukkake.[2] By contrast, three people engaged in sex is normally referred to as a threesome, and four people are normally referred to as a foursome. Gang bangs also differ from group sex, such as threesomes and foursomes, in that most (if not all) sexual acts during a gang bang are centered on or performed with just the central person. Although the participants of a gang bang may know each other, the spontaneity and anonymity of participants is often part of the attraction. Additionally, the other participants normally do not engage in sex acts with each other, but may stand nearby and masturbate while waiting for an opportunity to engage in sex tbh honest the FML could be rather messy next season
