Link doesn't work. Point? Google watch swansea city the fall and rise and you might get the point I've seen it before. They adopted a playing philosophy to overcome the disadvantages they faced. Just like we are trying to do.

Much the same as last season for me.
Absolute minimum expectation of maintaining our championship status. A good season would see us achieving a solid mid-table finish. A truly successful season would see us achieving a top half finish.
If we look like we are heading for a truly successful season lets not kid ourselves that we will not all start dreaming & demanding a play off push though.
Come what may I want to see them compete for every minute of every game until our fate is sealed. And a couple of cup runs please.

A lot will depend on who comes and goes before the end of the transfer window, but despite wanting to be optimistic of a comfortable mid-table finish, as things stand I think if we improve on last season's finish/points total by a small amount we'll have done well. And if we can do it by playing some reasonably entertaining football along the way then that would be great.
A good start is essential as that is what has saved us the last two seasons. Anything is possible, as Burnley have shown, but realistically we have to accept this is a tough, unequal division and we should aim for the top but realistically expect small steps as we establish ourselves in a division that we haven't played in much in my 40 years on this planet.

When you look at the financial muscle of those coming down and this combined with the ambition of those coming up, factor in our (so far) inactivity in the transfer marketplace, you'd be a fool to imagine anything other than a battle at the wrong end of the table this coming season. Unless, of course, you are one of those who think Robins is a canny tactical and motivational wizard, who is going to work his magical spells on the team and drag us kicking & screaming towards the promised land of the play off positions. Personally, I would rather this though than be in Leeds' shoes at the moment....? If we need to start worrying about the ambition of Brentford and Rotherham then we might as well just pack it in altogether. You mean the same Brentford who have signed Alex Pritchard from Spurs? The same Alex Pritchard folk have been wetting themselves over on here? THAT Brentford?

Having seen how certain teams have strengthened I can't see anything other than another relegation battle unless we make some good signings quick. And usually I'm an optimist.

I dont think we will make any signings until we get rid of our deadwood, all our targets have gone to other clubs, going to be a long season again................. Pritchard to Brentford for fucks sake................

Pritchard to Brentford for fucks sake................ yeah but we've still got Scannell who on his day is as good as anything in this division.. however when he's not on his day he's as bad as anything in this division. Still think we'll piss it. Biggest signing for us was getting in someone to help robins.

16th - 14th is where i think we will finish but if we can keep Vaughan fit him and Wells might work well together and score a decent amount, then you have players like Lolley who has a good goalscoring record and could score quite a few from the bench. Ward will also probably get double figures so thats a decent amount of goals if they feel like turning up anyway.
If we sign a scoring midfielder and another 1 or 2 solid defender we could (COULD) push to play offs if we keep Clayton because he will most likely be vital.
am I dreaming? probably but anythings possible

As long as we only get beaten by 3 at Elland road this season. Small steps.

The same Alex Pritchard folk have been wetting themselves over on here? THAT Brentford? Yeah Brentford have signed a player who did quite well in League 1 last season. Premier League here they come! We had quite a few players who did well in that division who have done/did sod all at this level. Time will tell of course but personally i don't think i'll lose any sleep over it.

I think it will be an interesting season .We are forgetting the young talent that is on the verge of breaking through to the first team. I would like money spent on a new cb and I would be disappointed if Clayton left but I feel more positive this season than last.

Honestly I think Town will struggle to stay up. 1. Vaughan's injury record is not good so I think if we get 20 games out of him that will be all. 2. Basically the same squad that failed miserably after Christmas. 3. Too many teams with parachute payments for us to compete. 4. Too many fringe players whom we cannot unload to be able to bring in new talent. 5. To much negativity from Robins last season.
The big unknown which could change everything (hopefully!) is the new back room staff. I have no idea how they will work out so Town could shoot up the league table or drop like a stone. Also if (and it is a big if) new blood IS brought in that too could change everything. Finally if the young lads can get up to speed in the first team that too could help sort us out.
Without the three things noted above working out I still think that Town will struggle.
With the three things working then who knows? We could be challenging at the top end.

Taking inspiration from last season with the current crop of players lack of signings and manager in charge I really do think were gonna struggle this season

Reaistic target? Getting the bloody South stand for a home end.....there is ZERO reason for it not to be and the continued stance of the Police and club is just a symptom of them not wanting to look ridiculous when it works!!!

I think we should be aiming for at least another 10 points on last year. There were quite a few games we lost where we were deserved something out of it, even through the bad run.
Even if we don't sign anyone else (I think we'll sign 1 or 2 but we might struggle shifting players on) we've still got an extra year's experience in a young squad and a full season out of Lolley and Wells, who have the potential to be two of the most exciting players in the league.
A lot depends on the fitness of Vaughan, the new backroom staff getting more out of what we've got and whether some of the young lads can make a real breakthrough, particularly Holmes and Billing. We still need another leader or two in there.

Vaughan hasn't stayed injury free for a whole season for his entire career, if we are pinning our hopes on that we are doomed.
Very poor second half to the season and up to press very little in terms of excitement and quality signed in the closed season. If anyone thinks that points to anything other than an upcoming struggle then I think they are been very optimistic.

Relegated unless there are some better players brought into the squad. Last two season just avoided the drop with no real changes then I cannot see us staying in the division. Hope I am wrong but the last two seasons have been dire.

We're not just Skybets favourite for relegation but the obvious choice with Blackpool due to Dean Hoyle's loss of interest in our team. He is rarely at the club now and unwilling to put his hand in his pocket unless he is forced to. He and his fellow Directors made the statement that we must have 'sustainability' as a club and pay our way. This would be fine if we were in the conference but with a bill in excess of £1 million a year for stadium rent and costs and wages in the region of £15k per week to the likes of James Vaughan we have no chance whatsoever of paying our way. So Dean Hoyle who blazed into town as our saviour and the man who got us in to the Championship must dig deep spend more of his millions and get us into the top half of our league. Only that will pull in more support and give the slim chance of sustainability. If not we are guaranteed the 'drop'.

So true. He's quite balanced actually. More so than many regular negative numpties on here. I think we'll be mid table and a decent cup run.
