After yesterday's debacle they've obviously decided there isn't room for two ladies teams in Huddersfield.

Seems weird. The few £k it would cost would be more than covered by the PR generated.
In one swoop 50% of all our young fans have lost their dream of growing up to play for HTFC.
Pathetic.

Given the Ladies team success and Town's like of partnerships I would have thought some sort of financial contribution would have not gone amiss. Some gesture of goodwill ! The smug arrogant sods

The Town ladies team will continue, just as it did prior to the "loose association" (which might have been agreed pre "new era Town" as its saying on the Town website, or might have been agreed with Town a good 12 months after Dean took over, depending on if time travel has been invented yet) with Town. Keep the dream alive.

The club should reconsider Its not a huge financial commitment PR is important Great men change their minds Not if Nigel Clibbens has got anything to do with it. He doesn't like it when people prove he's wrong

In the last hour the page with the ladies team, photographed inside the stadium and posted on the official HTAFC page - so more than just a "loose association", has been removed. Somebody is trying to cover their tracks and making a right ballax of it. What a terrible weekend for the club. This is the page that has now been taken down. Now removed HTFC ladies page

Whilst not having that much impact on the main team, this is still a bit poor.
Not a great opening weekend for Town...

We're obviously selling out to a middle eastern businessman, and the disconnection with the ladies team is part of the sale agreement. We could always get them in headscarves and jogging bottoms and then twin them with Palestine ladies FC. A headscarf is de rigeur now in Hudderstan. If this story is true its very sad...family club my arse as Jim Royle would say.

I'm embarrassed to be a fan of the club right now. Everything is done in the wrong way I'll always be proud to be a Town fan but I know what you mean. The corporatisation of our club and those responsible for it, and the decisions they make, are the ones that embarrass me.

I'm embarrassed too especially when the Ladies players are calling the club liars.

So you clicked on a post entitled "Huddersfield Ladies FC", knowing that it's something you don't care about, just to make a point of saying you don't care? Odd.

This has been all over twitter all day. Shambolic from the club.. The assistant manager told me they havent asked for funding , only for the kits.. Did anyone even know we had a ladies team? This was the first id heard of them tbh. Totally shite for all involved.. Check out @sunderlandafc to see how they should be promoting them... And as for this... Sorry love but the club have ended their association because they wouldnt buy a few kits..

My hairdresser was telling me she's started playing netball for the Huddersfield Giants, complete with claret and gold kit n Giants badge All good advertising and publicity.
Just read that statement from the Club and I've got to say it is embarrassing! Are we really telling them they can no longer wear our kits and have to change their name?

Poor decision in my book. Many other football league clubs work with the women's teams using their name. The women's game is getting more popular in this country and more and more young girls are playing the game. A missed opportunity here for the club to develop greater community ties. Well said. A poor do all round. All the bloody sponsorship and we couldn't find a grand or two to support the HTFC ladies. Given the first team are so shite we should be attracting followers from all areas not to mention supporting grass roots football for all.

My business sponsored a sign there for years that would've covered it thrice over let alone all the bloody partners! Seems totally at odds with his approach/attitude of recent years. He has daughters too doesn't he?

I think there is more to this than meets the eye. Maybe some personal fallout between dean and whoever, can't see any other reason
Very strange

Have to say, another situation where it would be good to hear facts before judging. Find it hard to believe this is as black and white as not buying their kits.
