we need to make sure we get in behind him when he gets caught miles out of position??
positives for Town, please....
Hunt is very much an 'ups and downs' 'highs and lows' type of player..

Hope he gets a good booing Saturday! Hope he gets a deserved good reception as an academy lad who starred for us, helped us get promoted then made us £2M. Then I hope he gets torn to shreds all afternoon by Bunny and Scanz. Only #helmets will boo. Hope he play's shite and we all cheer him

Class player Hunt. Brilliant for Town often making something happen in a game when we lacked creativity. Wasn't surprised a prem team bought him for £2M, not surprised he's doing great at Forest. Yeah he pushed for a move towards the end big deal- it's a short career players want to maximise their earnings shock horror. Met him a few times and he was a decent lad. I'll give him a clap tomorrow. We need to make sure bunn/Scannell track his runs or he can hurt us. You're right that he could hurt us. If it were up to me I'd have one of the midfield three track his runs, to enable Bunn or Scannell to exploit the space behind. He may not be so keen to bomb forwards once he's tried to make up 20 yards on Scannell or Bunn.

If Hunt was worth 2M. Then Scanz and Bunn are worth a lot more. The plan of "slowly does it" is starting to take shape!

Polite pre and post match applause.....and i hope he has a stinker. Academy product given a chance under clark and who made us c2m...........yes he had a twitter rant in frustration, and has appeared to lack a bit of class at times, but he was a good league 1 and a decent championship right back for us. Now left.....let him get on with it.....move on.

What he said about the fans who moan all game was spot on I reckon. The ' I pay my brass so will moan if I want' lot are a pain in the arse. Then they spit their dummy out if a player moans back.

They're entitled to moan, and I'm entitled to call them precious little darlings who can give it out but can't take it. At the time Hunt was being booed when he was one of our few reliable players.

people are entitled to a moan every now and then, if the 'moaners stayed away' we would be playing in front of 100 fans a week...

However, as Hunt pretty much said, it's those who come just to have a moan and do little else. I'm sure someone tonight will be having a go at Smithies for not commanding his area enough.

pathetic to boo the lad. especially when we'd had such a good day. Yeah I thought it was pretty classless and didn't join in. He gained us a bloody good payday and that run at arsenal was absolutely magic.

I think the good day and the giddiness of the majority of town fans at the time , just after the 3 rd goal was why the booing was louder. It was purely pantomime stuff, the majority of the row in front of me booed and then clapped him on. Pathetic is a strong word for a town fan having some banter towards the end of the most enjoyable home game for years. In fact I think it would be better used to describe any pro footballer who would be affected by it. I'm sure it didn't bother young Jack so I wouldn't let it bother you either

Were some of the boos for Lichaj?! That's what I thought as Hunt doesn't deserve any of that. Classless if it was wholly directed at him.

He seems the type of individual who will be affected by being given stick, so was just a bit of banter to try and wind him up. Much more along the lines of when you play against a mate and try to wind him up than a genuinely hostile atmosphere. Although I'm sure a minority do actually harbour ill will against him. In fairness, he played well when he came on and didn't seem affected by the boos. Looked a much stronger player than the one that left us.

His Twitter outburts don't bother me, childish at worst. There are a load of moaning buggers that follow Town, I often wonder why they bother when they only seem happy if we lose or misplaced a pass. Quiet as mice during a game like yesterday. Each to their own though.

The lad must have been 20 when he posted that, a good 20 odd years younger than me. Boys will be boys. Grown ups shouldn't be offended by the twitterings of youth.

You should have heard the chanting next to me when Jack Hunt came on. W*nker, Helmet and 'what's the score Jack Hunt?' all ringing out. I was quite shocked. In as much as he probably deserved it from some of his Twitter outbursts etc he's just there to do a job at the end of the day.
