i think Jack Hunt made a big mistake with his comments and the way he departed us..and his fan reaction on his returns have been quite bad for him showing he made a error when he left.......put this aside to another player who left us chasing more money and would have left a year earlier if town had let him go,then left for another team in our division after sticking 2 fingers up at us...but yet whenever he returns he gets cheered by fans for doing exactly the same as Jack...BAFFLING AINT IT

I booed him, the guy really is a c*** you only have to read his twitter page! Don't see other ex players slagging us off so publicly His comments in the Barnsley chronicle about us when he was playing there summed him up too.

Footy fans make me laugh with regards to ex players. Player does a great job for us, has a load of good games and moves on getting us a big transfer fee - Boo them, call them a wanker etc...
Some shite player who did fuck all for us and we ended up releasing cos he was shite - Standing ovation

Once a player leaves they no longer have nothing to do with the club
They will do everything they can for their new club to beat us
That's why I do not clap them when they return

One individuals mother is a "sket" = £25k and a 3 match ban.
A large number of supporters are "helmets" = top bantz.
Jack needs to provide a bit of coaching to Rio F on how to get away with being a classless dick!

Did Hunt ever say anything bad about HTFC? I don't think so. The fans he called helmet's - well helmets was being very polite and he had a point.
It's just moronic football fans who don't quite understand why a footballer will not necessarily have the loyalty that they do to a football club. There's no difference in Hunt engineering a move to a better football club in the division above than any average joe applying for a better job behind his or her employers back.
Those who boo - it's pathetic. Nevermind we pay our money and can do what we want. Get a grip and move on.

Oh yes those without the same opinion as you dont "understand" the situation propely thats convenient for your own thinking:). I havent got too strong of an opinion on it to be honest but my views more down the line of we made him and would of liked a bit more loyalty. Im sure the lad wont be losing any sleep over it.

Not wanting to play for huddersfield town is enough to deserve a boo, calling the fans helmets and being an egotistical prick just adds to it
I'm sure he's really upset by it lol.

Exactly my point proven. Why should he give us loyalty if he has the option of furthering his career at a better club/more money?! Would you do that in your working life?! I wouldn't and the majority if not all people wouldn't. So no it's not just because they don't have a different opinion, it's because football fans demand and expect loyalty for no reason whatsoever just because they are loyal to one club.

I booed him. 90% of it was a bit of pantomime on what was a really good day out. 10% down to the way he played in the second half of his last season here.
By the time he left I was relieved. He'd been dropped on a few occasions in the run in and we had looked a better side without him. There's no ill feeling for leaving, there's a bit of a sour taste around the way he seemingly gave up when we were battling against relegation.
On the whole though it was just a bit of a laugh on a good day out. Slightly surprised that people get that worked up about it to be honest.

The money he's on its his job. Making stupid comments against fans who paid his wages he deserves booing. And we stuffed it up them too.

As for it being your point proven I really don't see that but as with a lot of posters on here its more to do with ego and being seen to be correct than to have an open discussion.

I gave him a round of applause ....... and cheered loudly when Bunnie "did" him! Some people booed, but you are right - tha game would be too sanitised without a few pantomine villans!

IMO ex players/managers generally get the reception they deserve, perfect example being PC with Blackpool the other week. Applauded by all four sides of the ground, and received a chant of 'only one Peter Clarke' from the NSL.
Why?
Because he always gave 110% for the shirt. It's irrelevant that he wasn't an amazing defender, because he repaid the fans support with passion, pride, heart, and commitment.
So why was Hunt boo-ed?
Because he repaid the support given to him by the club and the fans, by downing tools and giving half arsed performances when he wasn't allowed to leave Town for Swansea, and he acted like a dick on Twatter.
Both players got the reception they deserved.

He made us two million quid. Thought that was worth a clap alone. Irrelevant really. When Rhodes gets applauded by Town fans, it's not because we sold him for £8 million quid, it's because he played for the shirt, it's because he acted with total professionalism from his first to his last day as a Town player, and when he knew (or suspected) his time at Town was coming to a close, he still put everything he had into his performances. Rhodes could have gone for £500k and he would still be applauded. Likewise, Hunt could have gone for £10 million and he would still be boo-ed, and deservedly so with the way he behaved during his final months at Town.

Just because you proved me right about football fans expecting undue loyalty. Deary me give it a rest. If I played football for a club I had no association with and came through their academy but PL teams were looking at me I'd want to go play at the highest level. It's human nature to go and try and prove yourself. Some people can't recognise that. We made around £2mil out of the deal for the lad. We didn't make him - I'd suggest he utilised his talent and we got rewarded with that 2mil for nurturing it. The only people who can say they made Jack Hunt are his parents. Not Huddersfield Town football club.

"Some people can't recognise that" you really do need to get over yourself and recognise the difference between your own opinion and fact, as for the only people who made him nonsense thats really is up for debate as well. Im starting to wonder if your the lads dad, undue loyalty? I personally believe there is loyalty due when you've come through the ranks of a club.
