people will laugh this off..but jackson and lills are the people to get us out of this mess. say all you like about dean and powells thinking. two men who will inspire the fans and players against the odds. believe me. tbh even if one of the two was in the changing room guiding powell it would improve

Not certain why we were so bad today but unless I was sat with my back to the game I did not see anyone apart from Bunn and possibly Hudson who could take any credit from the game. We have sold Clayton and Norwood and not replaced them with anyone half as good, this is not good business if we get relegated so I wish people would stop saying we have done well. We desperately need a strong mobile forward (Well's will never be this ) (Clarke at Bournemouth) as an example and we need to man up a bit we just bounced off some of the Leeds players today. If we are to continue as a selling team then I think our time in the championship may be limited you do not achieve stability/promotion by selling your best players. Trying not to be to disappointed about today but we were absolute rubbish lets see what happens in the next few weeks Mark Hudson seems to walk on water. Granted he had a very good debut. I thought he was ropey against Wigan and today I thought he was poor. The ball that he fired into midfield in the second half is a good example of his poor passing and decision making...put us in all kinds of trouble. I think he'll be a good player for us but it seems he's one of those who doesn't get any stick by the majority. Poor to a man today barring Bunn, and scannell in the second half when we actually got the ball to him quick enough to isolate his full back. We're in a world of trouble - not 3 poorer teams in the league as it stands.

We won't get a point at a good wolves or Blackburn, the Millwall and blackpool games are must win. Then many more decent teams after those games. Wonder what CP will do and if the players can be arsed.

Hudson pulled all over, exposed by Peltier pushing on and been unable to get back leaving him defending 1 v 1 in wide areas against quicker players, any CB would struggle
That was worse than the 5-1 last year which was a bit of a freak result, today they thoroughly deserved it we were tame for want of a better word
Can't remember us making a proper tackle all day and getting into them
Bunn best by far

Thanks for getting the striker in we need for todays important match. Thanks actually for not bothering over the summer or even last season when it was blindingly obvious we needed one. Thanks for the most lacklustre forward line since Jevons and Parker. Down to you Deano. Sell 8 million pounds worth of striker and spend a mere fraction on the replacement when it is obvious the area needs strengthening. How youv'e got some nerve having a pop at the fans for been critical i dont know. Another c*** who only comes on here when we lose
you are a total bastard who's only joy in life is to twisted the knife
It is time that cowards like you came to meetings and said it face to face
Yeah thats right you foul mouthed idiot with your 89 posts, only got something to say when we lose. You know nothing about me, i go to the meetings pal and have watched town since 1980 have you? The last time a person informed mr hoyle that his outburst at the fans for getting robins sacked was out of order as there had never been a protest at the club to sack him deano tried to laugh it off and play it down. no answer/apology was given. Still if you were at the meeting you would know that and you would know also that another striker was a priority over the summer. One of my joys in life is to watch Town play well and give it their all. Today was not one of those days. You can think of me what you like but you are not a better fan than me and if you think there are no questions to be asked of this shambolic start to a season you are either dumb or blind.

When you play a right back in midfield, a striker on the wing etc and select players like Stead over Bunn, drop Scannell etc, throw in a lack of motivation (even in a derby) and then try and get a team built on a football ethos to play long ball ... is it any wonder we look clueless! The squad is okay and up to the required standard but they are being sent out on a matchday looking and playing like a hungover pub side on a Sunday morning! The days of a flat/rigid formation are long gone, a thing of the past. I would argue that in order to be successful, players in the Championship/Premier League have to be flexible. The players that we have at the club are just not talented or experience enough to perform at this level. Disagree even the top players will "do a job" if played out of position but won't be as effective. Roy Hodgson tried Milner at right back in a friendly before the World Cup and he got toasted by someone like Honduras' left winger. Even Messi is not the same on the occasions he's been played on the wing. You have position were you are most effective and play there - one of the reasons Phil Jones hasn't kicked on is because he's never been settled in a position etc We should be picking the best men for each position and Peltier is and never will be a better centre mid than right back. Nor is Peltier better in centre mid than 4 or 5 players on the books presently

If you don't get behind this manager Deano will be off. Well Deano, back Chris Powell with some dosh or Town fans won't turn up to watch this dross. You say the players have under achieved, I say they've over achieved for the past 2 seasons. The Championship is becoming Premier 2, you either buy into it or we're doomed. Doing it on the cheap will get us nowhere apart from back to league 1. So many players missed out on this summer,. who's left now to bring in As much as i admire what dean asdone i agree we need more quality because we are a relegation team at present and yes we have overachieved and the board has to take some responsibility. long way to go but we could soon be well adrift.

Will not even mention the result as wouldn't be that insensitive, it hurts I know have been there many many times. As some regular DATM readers will know I could not take my usual place at ER because my darling (clutter fuck)) better half decided that seven games in was an excellent time to book a foreign jaunt in the sun. The day before, now and most of last night this was not a problem but for 4 hours building upto 3pm and most certainly for 90 odd minutes yesterday afternoon I was wishing for your very own Town Supporting Captain Kirk to beam me back to Lowfields Road for a fixture that means more (to me anyway) than any Chelsea or even Man Utd game rare as they may be of late. Instead of a pre match build up involving copious amounts of Bitter and Pies that turn onto nuclear strength farts several hours later I was condemned to wandering around a foreign supermarket doing the big shop and trying not to glaze over when Mrs Marshleeds asked me if these biscuits were like Viennese Whirls back home? I made a token gesture of wearing the Leeds Macron Training top, gently resting snugly over the paunch, to try feel part of something that was going to happen several thousand miles away. In my excitement I gave the Leeds Salute to a fellow Leeds Fan standing near the Korn Flakes but realised too late that the Asian gentleman was wearing a Preston Shirt and he glared at me mystified as if I was some kind of racist. Back round the pool for a few hours after dumping foreign shopping, basically a list of stuff we would buy back home but with unfamiliar names, got slightly bronzed in searing heat, went through the holiday swimming pool cliches of "Ooh it's a bit cold but it's alright when you get in"....hummed the Hawaii 5 O theme tune......and totally submerged Mrs Marshleeds in a strangely vindictive kind of manner by way of revenge. She muttered some expletive to do with Hair Straighteners and going out on the night but the frankly insignificant traumas of beauty regimes were far from my mind. 2pm now English time, the best pre-match I could muster was to begin. Pre Holiday had already downloaded (get me!) the BBC Radio Player App (Stands for Application apparently) and settled down on my balcony overlooking the pool listening to some annoying bint, Popey and Noel 'You Know' Whelan on the Leeds Section of the RL Buildup on th'ipad . This wasn't too bad after all, even got a tear in the eye as the players were coming out on the pitch to Marching On Together (always do). Then cut out, nothing......!! Followed by some fucking folk music guy talking about a 'big gig' in Hebden Bridge ??!! Then followed by a message that due to contractual rights sports commentaries were not allowed followed by some fucking Barn Dance music !!?? Viewed the whole match via BBC Football Live Text constantly refreshing to get updated possession stats, shots on goal etc and jumping up like a mad fool 4 times including the final whistle. Celebrated handsomely at night of course even tolerating some twat from Barnsley singing the worst version of Build Me Up Buttercup on Karaoke I have ever heard. Our foreign jaunt can resume unhindered now, may even change my posting name to Varnishleeds if this heat keeps up.3 worse teams than you no doubt.

Objective Leeds fan opinion (for what its worth); Never seen any team try and play man for man marking for donkeys years especially with a lightweight midfield. Powell would worry me Smithies - the gift that keeps on giving Hudson - been a cracking player, but looks about two years too late for you Bunn - looks a cracking prospect Scannel - looked dangerous Why did Majedski (apologies for spelling)not play - always thought he was a playmaker, who you were crying out for
Don't think you will go down (two places gone already in Blackpool and Birmingham) and Rotherham will probably take the third spot

Weirdly enough I was actually more pleased with yesterday than Tuesday. At least we actually played some football and had a run at them in parts
The big problem is Scannell. There is no point in being quick/strong/tricky on the ball is there is ultimately no outlet. And there really is none with him
Bunn had a cracking game, but was eventually bullied off the ball as they could double/triple stack on his flank due to us hitting it every single time. This is because there was no real threat down the other flank (Scannell)
If we start with Ward yesterday instead then we would have put a lot more pressure on them, got a hell of a lot more balls into the box and actually brought Nakhi into the game - get an early goal and it's a completely different game
Wells is looking shit at the moment because he's not getting any service at all. How many times did we play all a ball behind the defenders for him to run on to yesterday? How many times did a winger hit the byeline then pull it across? That's our issue. No point clouding it with bringing in Stead or Patterson or whoever, THIS is the problem we need to sort.
The fucked up thing is that we were doing this earlier in the season - what was it? 20/25 chances per game?
Anyway, that's the reason that we didn't win. The reason that we lost is because Smithies is fucking abysmal and Lynch didn't read the importance of the game at all
Smithies put up the goalkeeping equivalent of a white flag for their first and third goals. I don't think I'll ever forgive him for that
Lynch just fucked up.
On the plus side I thought our midfield battled hard in what was a fucking war in the middle of the park
Also, as hard as it is to say, Leeds aren't any c**** at the moment. They looked solid as fuck and broke with serious speed. On yesterday's evidence they'll be playoffs. Which really does hurt.

If the new manager can keep Leeds playing like that then I think they'll be strong contenders for promotion.
Some good players in that team now.

The Leeds' strikers were the main difference between the sides. Putting it simply, they had flair, pace and power. I don't know their names, but does anyone know from where they have come - because these are the type of players we require. Doukara and antenucci both Italian

Absolutely appalling.
Another humiliating defeat against Leeds.
We've assembled A team of slow, soft footballers and were crying out for striker, which everyone knows about but the board do nothing.
Rubbish managerial appointment aswell.
Were going down. :-(

Forget blaming Dean Hoyle, forget blaming the coach. It's the players where the blame lies. Overpaid bunch of pampered freeloaders. Simple as that. They are overpaid to the point of being that far removed from normality that they don't give a fuck anymore. 60k a month for kicking a bag of wind about. Nice work if you can get. If any of you morons are reading this then it would be nice to see you put a fucking shift in on the field. If you don't want to play for my beloved Huddersfield town then fuck off.
Lavish lifestyles, pampered beyond belief, 100k cars, million pound houses and for what? 90 mins of half assed work on a saturday afternoon. Doesn't matter to you does it, you pick up your 15k a week regardless and once you relegate Town you leave and sign up for the next circus on ludicrous wages.
Unfortunately for me this no fun anymore. If I put in the effort or lack of if that you do, in my job I would be sacked.
Massive wages; everything in life that is wrong with modern day footballers.
Dean, please get into canal side and read these jokers the fucking riot act before it's too late. Please. . .

Pretty sure every team in the Championship has players that are 'overpaid', yet they aren't as crap as us.
We are the fools that keep on paying for it. Don't watch, they won't get paid.
