I've got no issues with people going in there, having a good time with their mates. It isn't for me mainly due to the view, particularly the sun getting right in your eyes, but I can see why it is perfect for other people. However, imo it has not helped the atmosphere. I sit just past the edge of the D in the south half and you can barely hear the guys. You can see them singing but don't hear anything; Blackpool were making all the noise on Saturday. The guys left in the Kilner gave it a stab with mixed success but it just seems to have split the singers up. I sit across the other side in the Riverside, and I can hear the NSL over the Kilner every time. They sing decent songs as well, not the childish, incoherent piffle that those lot at the top of the singing section sing... Shoe Army, your mums your dad, Smile a while at 200mph etc...

Lets stop bloody bickering and just get on with cheering our team on from wherever we choose to sit. UTT. I do like the fact that the NSL sing better songs because even though I'm in the Kilner by choice those repetitive boring mindless chants do my head in. Fortunately we are a noisy lot wher we sit and now ignore them. I do think though thst their numbers are dwindling? So perhapsthere are more converts to the NSL than they thin UTT.

Seems to me that whether or not you like the NSL they're simply getting on with it, being proactive, trying to make a positive difference, excluding nobody and having a bloody good time doing it - what on earth's wrong with that? The moaners are coming across as pretty negative and bitter, frankly.
And if it really is having a negative effect on the noise levels in the KB, surely those that remain could...y'know...make some more noise? No good moaning about a lack of atmosphere but doing nothing about it, if you've got a set of lungs on you.

Sums it up that does for me.
Anyone, in any seat, in any stand can sing if they want. There's no stopping anyone from staring a song off, or joining in one that's started somewhere else.
Like you say in your post, some fans are expecting others to create an atmosphere for them to enjoy, and now that atmosphere has loved away from them they seem annoyed and slag off efforts of other fans rather than doing something about it themselfs.

I've not been in FML and probably will never go in, Not that I'm against them, far from it. I much prefer to watch the game from the side of the pitch. From where I sit near half way line I can clearly hear both of South End of Kilner Bank and the North Stand Loyal , Both deserve credit for trying to create a better atmosphere at games. My lad whos now 15 always goes in FML and loves it, dont think I will be able to prise him away from there tbh even on the coldest and wettest days. In his view its like having a brilliant away day at home. Long may it continue and thrive. We need all fans wherever they are to get behind the team on the pitch at all times and not be negative about others who are trying to make the match day experience better

My teenage daughter who doesn't attend every match and only kind of half follows the team said yesterday I think the family stand is more like the supporters stand. She didn't know it is no longer the family stand. When the teams came out and all the streamers were thrown she said 'wow look that's cool.' It's obviously working for a person with no knowledge to comment. Too much negativity probably just a wum wanting a reaction though. I remember the excitement of being allowed to go in to the Cowshed from the terrace with my mate as a kid when his dad finally relented. Not much changes.

did my ears deceive me or was there a song about dropping your pants last night?
(might have been my ears due to cold delirium)
Top effort last night again from the NSL.

Having been in with the NSL all the games this season last night i met up with a friend and sat on the halfway line and could hear the NSL singing all night with hardly a peep from the kilner .Well done and keep the faith.

Pretty much the same story as me - didn't go in last night for the 1st time this season as 3 mates had freebees in the ‘whatever it’s now called’ lower, so I sat with them as don’t seem them much. NSL sounded and looked great all game. Whilst the arguments against it persist from a minority it's got my full backing as at the end of the day it’s a bunch of Town fans having fun at home games which is exactly what we should be doing. I appreciate it’s not for everyone but we all support one club and if you wanna sing in the NSL or sing in the BR who cares, just enjoy your day, make some noise and get behind the team. Keep up the good work as it’s a refreshing change to the monotonous matchday experience that’s existed for way too long!!

Deaf or jealous that a group has got together and tried to do something rather than just aimlessly twatting a drum and waving a shoe in the air.

I bet the BR had some epic banter with the 300 Brighton fans last night.

I prefer my middle Britannia stand but well done to the NSL, looked good again last night on a cold windy night. Don't get why some folk want to have a go at them ?

It's mainly the folk from the 'singing section' who are a bit annoyed that it's diminished. I can understand why they might be a bit thrown back, but at the end of the day we're trying to improve the overall matchday experience so they need a bit of perspective. Some of the lads, who I know personally, are just idiots and very childish, and will have a go at it just because it doesn't fit their view of how to make an atmosphere. Ridiculous, really, but some immature folk just cant be told.

I went in the FM Upper for the first time last night (I'm usually in the Kilner) and the atmosphere generated from below was fantastic. I was actually jealous I wasn't in there myself to join in with the Conor Coady/okey cokey - loved it! Keep it up and I might even venture in one day

Honest question to other people around the ground: how did the blue and White flag waving at the front look, did it look big enough? Is like to know so I can make some changes for the next ones I make

The people saying it has ruined the atmosphere need to give their head a shake. There has never ever been noise unless we are at least 3-0 up from the kilner. The NSL are actually starting to make a home atmosphere and it is getting better and better every game. Instead of complaining about it why don't they just join in? Some people refuse to give it a chance because they feel like a football casual singing we all hate Leeds scum next to the away fans.
Thought it was class last night, seen a few Brighton fans compliment it as well so those saying they couldnt hear it are talking shit.

I thought the noise last night from NSL was excellent. Twelve months ago that game would have been like a reserve match at the old Leeds Road where the players were louder than those watching. I am tempted to go in at some point even if its to take me back in some way to my Cowshed days. Well done and long may it continue!

Loads of us having a laught between ourselves I between songs, young kids starting songs off, twirling, flag waving. It's cracking.

Ooohhhhh Conor Coady, oooooooh Conor Coady, ooh to be a teeeerrier!! All together now Was in the FM Upper last night and that had me and a number of others chuckling & singing along. Quite a few got out of there seats to look down and see what was going on. A new song (to me) and a bit of fun. Just what the NSL was set up for. Great effort lads and lasses.
