We can do both if we play 5-3-2, would that remind us all of Robins too much ? I can see some cases when we should do that but it means leaving Bunn and Scannell out as at Ipswich. If I was the manager I'd be trying to figure out why we didn't dominate the game in the first 60 minutes when we had the 3 in central midfield and they had two. We played some lovely stuff at times when Butterfield was on the ball, but we certainly didn't dominate for long periods. Their two full backs were the best I've seen this season. Bunn couldn't compete, but Scannell had an excellent game. I thought both Bunn and Scannell were fairly ineffective, mainly due to coming up against 2 full backs with a fair bit of pace. There were a couple of balls flash across the 6 yard box first half but not a lot else from the flanks.

It does even out some of the shockers we've had though this season, true.

Thought he had a decent game the pen decision aside You didn't see him lose the ball on the half-way line when Wednesday should've scored at the end, then? Well if we are to analyse every individual error we had at least 6 imbeciles on the pitch today...

Dixon is such an average footballer. He wasn't even that good today. He was a liability at times. Strange decision to play him in a back four. Robinson is the better defender of the two and just as he starts finding a bit of form with us (after a dodgy first part of the season) he starts being dropped for Dixon. Thought Dixon was awful.

As i saw it. Until 65 minutes it was one boring, boring game. 0-0 all over it until 65 minutes, should have finished 3-3. Both totally lost sape the last 10 minutes. Salisbury, not seen a better reffing performance in a long time, he had quiet words with plenty, let it flow and even praised Murphy for not getting involved with May after 3 collisions. He was even right on the pen, he was going away from goal and although there was contact he was going down before the touch. After being booked he went to a team-mate grinned and winked. Murphy, superb. Which idiot lost the ball in central midfield which led to Murphys great save in the last minute, was it Lynch? Poyet, spent the game looking at the bench as though he wanted off, he was clueless and out of his depth. Bunn, i cant criticise this kid, he gets it with his back to goal and always tries to turn, to make something and be creative, not his day but should have stayed on. Holt, woeful. Should have been off for THREE petulant kicks at Lees. Scannell, never any end product, goes to ground, goes up dead ends, gives up, in the first half from him having possession it went to them 15 times. Endeavour does not a footballer make. Dixon, whip 'em in kiddo, their corners were 5 times more dangerous. Subs, yeh, we were more offensive but then so were they. Wells should have started, he pushes it too far in front of himself sometimes but is direct and at pace, who else is going to get us 15 goals this season? Taylor-Fletcher, double barrelled, and i dont mean his surname. What the Hell happened?! May, we should have signed him. Lets just stay up, thats about where we are at.

I can't see why Dixon started over Robinson either ... Can you remember the " towel" game at hillsborough a couple of years back ? He was immense that night... And ripping it up for the national team ... Has gone backwards

Until Wells came on he was the only one looking likely to create a goal. 3 great balls across the box in the first half, unfortunately Bunn was on his heels for all of them. He just looked slow in thought and deed today.

The Scannell crosses were all hit and hope without looking up, watch back Mays cross when he tries to put GTF in, looks twice.

The full backs are not great strengths in the team that's for sure.

Don't normally agree with Otium but think he's right on this one. 1 good ball put in which just eluded Bunn but the others he was putting the ball in without aiming it. The prime example being when he pulled it back to the edge of the box with no one there in the 2nd half.

Poyet was of no benefit to us. Poor. Poyet was one of the better performers today. He's going to be a very good player.

He kept the ball well but offered no real defensive protection and nothing going forward. Might as well stick with Hogg or give Billing (or even Gobern) a go and develop one of our own.

I didn't think Poyet was any better or worse than anybody else, it was a game that you would struggle to come up with a MOM. Overall a draw was a fair result, we made the wrong choices when in good positions, I thought both Smith and Dixon should have shot and Wells should have crossed for Holt to tap in .The keeper did ok but 2 or 3 of our better players didn't produce enough, I'm not too despondent and can't wait for Bolton next week UTT.
