The DATM amateur dramatics will be out in full force after this aggressive bumming. Lots of swooning, tears and indignation. God dammit I tell you, god dammit

Small consolation but we're still above l***s And same distance away from 3rd bottom. Next 3 games though are crucial - 7 points minimum required.

Stranger things have happened than a 10 man team winning a game after getting pummelled in the first half. Hang on for another 20 mins after h.t. and who knows ? 2 minutes into the 2nd half.... TWO MINUTES!! The flaw in my reasoning was that I was not counting on 3 in the first 5 mins of the 2nd half - oh well, 1-0 or 5-0 it`s still only nil points !

I'd just forget about Town until January, just enjoy your Christmases and New Years. Can't see us getting anything this month, hopefully we will see a CB and ST come in Jan and we will start fulfilling our potential. If we don't get anything this month we will be all but relegated and the January window will be too late. I'm not too hopefully though, the centrehalf situation is descending into a farce and after the 28th of December we will be left with an out of form Wells or Sicknote Vaughan as options upfront.

East Anglian hoodoo continues, we always get spanked by Norwich and or Ipswich. Might as well write off both fixtures at the beginning of the season.

Why change the system which seemed to be working with Coady at centre-half and Wells was tracking back reasonably well.

Just one week ago there was a thread and half-a-dozen regulars said this was our best team since 99..and possibly better. I burst out laughing, delusional. Not a single Town player would make a Prem reserve squad...fact. Boring

Didn't go today (thank The Lord) but I did listen on the wireless. Very few if any town fans said we'd get anything today but if Robins had made the change Powell made today he'd of been hung, drawn and quartered for it. I feel sorry for the 650 town fans that went more than anyone, the price of Rotherham tickets has just plummeted today.

Dismal result, and a real confidence basher ahead of the busy xmas period. No need to go overboard though.....its a bad day, and we just have to make sure that the next game is a good one like we did after bolton. Cannot understand how on earth gerrard hasnt played though - baffling particularly after wallaces dismissal. There must be more to it, because hes miles better as a player than wallace who is just not good enough.......slow in thought and deed, and prone to errors. Today was a massive opportunity to give gerrard time on the pitch as we go into xmas and with wallace suspended and lynch injured, ffs please god its not matt crooks in there again shortly!!!!!

I think that Powell might have undisguised favourites, whether you can play football or not, as long as you please the manager, you'll get a game even if it's out of your normal position.
If Powell comes out and says, "I got it badly wrong", I'll accept that, and we can move on. As long as he learns from this and doesn't make the same mistake again whilst at this football club, is all that matters.

Not a single Town player would make a Prem reserve squad...fact. Thats irrelevant though. The premier league is unrecognisable to 1999 & the gap is far bigger between the top divisions than it was then. We are consistently competitive at this level. Norwich has pretty much a Premier league squad and playing without a central midfielder for 80 minutes would've meant trouble for every other championship team today.

There must be a bit of money swilling about then to bring new players in and keep the likes of Gerrard, Peltier and Madjewski at the club.

Yes well said. Only 3 points was on offer today. Great platform for Gezza to come into the team in now. He can be the saviour and I think he'll like that. He could then kick start his town career and be 2nd, 3rd choice at CB. Hudson needs to pick up his game a bit also I feel.

Not much wrong with the starting line up. Same as last week. Looked comfortable and should have been ahead after Wells double miss when he should have scored after being cleverly put through by Hogg.
Mistake by Hudson led to Wallace being sent off. Defended reasonably well for rest of half.
Bizarre half time sub by cp and then shambles for 10 minutes.
No need to panic. Would have been a decent match 11 v 11.

I thought it was widely discussed/known that Gerrard is s disruptive influence? If that's why he's not playing, so be it. I'm happy to trust the staff. I think Wallace is just the latest boo boy, he's young and still learning his trade but hes decent as far as I'm concerned. Any of our defenders even at the top of their game are gonna have bad games/get bossed in this league, they are coming up against multi million pound striking talent week in week out.
