That's as may be, but the club should try to get his attitude and wage off their list. Show Pony, As he says in the interview, he's a father now and it might help him to mature a bit. Could still have a part to play if he gets his attitude sorted. Don't forget he was the top assister the season before last and the runner up in the player of the year poll. Only robins has ever got a consistent tune out of him, and he's had enough chances now! How many more personal problems and issues do we allow him to have? Get shut and use his large salary to strengthen elsewhere - we have scanz, bunn, lolley ahead of him never mind some of the young lads. It's a shame because clearly he has talent........but at 27 ain't going to get any better IMO.

Never really been a fan of his, even when he was allegedly top assister. If he can get his shit together then maybe he can contribute successfully.

Last post beat me to it, I was going to add this thread could easily be about Scannel, whose end product and delivery into the danger area is every bit as ineffective as Hammils. I do wonder if the lack of any actual strikers is the key point. .... thinking about it a bit further. Hammil's delivery was often pretty good - he just never got to the point of it as often as he should.

Hammill, if fully focused, would still easily be our best winger IMO.
Big if though.

I agree I've never taken to him but he definitely produced plenty of excitement and was a main contributor to Vaughan's and Town's purple patch to start the season under Robins in 2013/14.

If Hammill is part of Powells plans then we can kiss goodbye to signing a new winger!

Think he's part of our past now rather than our future. I'd sooner see Lolley and Charles given a go.

From vital Rovrum Just sums him up Adam Hammill Joined from Huddersfield Town in January and impressed in his first game against Brentford. He began his career with his home club Liverpool and went on to play for Barnsley and Wolves, as well as having quite a few loan spells, before joining the West Yorkshire side in 2013. With pace the midfielder often bamboozled the opposition with his step-overs and tricks but was just as often caught out leaving our striker in the box frustrated. Played fourteen times for the Millers, though mostly came off the bench, and I'd like to have seen him start more games. Amazingly, as it was well documented that he didn`t get on with Huddersfield Manager Chris Powell, going into the new season Adam is still with the Terriers -whether he`ll play for them again remains to be seen. If he's gonna stay and fight for a place then good luck to him. He's shown in short bursts exactly what he is capable of, but he'd be capable of a hell of a lot more if he actually looked up when he has the ball in the box.

For all the stick he gets about "hanging on to the ball too long etc" he demolishes our other wingers in output. So cant be that bad..
