Hamer has been accused to going to ground too quickly on here. I was watching some highlight reel of Deulofeu and his goal at Watford this season was about 5ft max off the ground as it crossed the line and it only went in because Lossl was for some reason on his knees before he even shot. Hamer is a liability but I think people have short memories when it comes to Lossl.
What's that about a player having his best game sat on the bench?
Anyway. Lossl isn't here next season

Am I the only one who isn't bothered about Mooy? Too slow, too sideways, too backwards. If Siewert does implement his "straight lines" football, as in get it forward with speed, like Dortmund do, I don't see any need for a player like Mooy. Bacuna will be better than Mooy

Benrahma would be a good pick but Brentford have put a price tag of £30m on him 😱 Maybe we need to go look elsewhere, ala Brentford, for the next up and comer. Looking over in Ligue 2, there’s a young fella Alexis Claude-Maurice(20), who looks like he’s ready for the next step, but could do with a season of the Championship. A VLP style player but with an end product. Lots of pace, can dribble and turn at pace, has a good shot on him. Lorient want €10m for him, but a good season in the Championship could see us double or triple his return like Brentford are doing. Has the usual big teams watching him but I think most will think it’s too soon for him to play regular first team football at those clubs. Plays LM, AM or can play the left side of a front 3. I would like us to get out of that mindset. Buy a player and then looking to sell them on for profit. Why? Unless it's for ridiculous money.i Its massively defeatist. Lets buy players to keep and build teams and the future around them. This is a different Huddersfield Town now, uncharted territory. Imo it needs a different outlook now. We're not bottom feeding anymore.

On a daily basis, and often for no apparent reason. He's like the spawn of Nick I have felt any separate thread was it's own ligitimate point on Huddersfield and if another thread existed on that point I would contribute to it. I enjoy discussing Town, work late so tend to post later on at night. If some find I am posting to much, then I am happy to go back to just reading the board. Mids I will always gave respect for your viewpoint as you were the driving force in the FFA, highlighting Davy's asset stripping of the club. Fuck em post as much as you want

Just watch it on TV. You couldn't pay me to go to this, or Anfield in general. The team isn't interested anymore, add to that JFT 96, Anfield, the Kop, Never Walk Alone....total nausea. No thanks.
At least when it's on the TV I can turn the channel over as the cameras linger adoringly as the Kop sing YNWA, and the sycophants wank themselves into a frenzy

Yep. Looks to get the ball forward. That's his first thought. Mooy just goes sideways and backwards.
Mooy can go for me, slows the game down too much.

IMO if you ever want a description of someone owning town as an accessory to show of to his mates then I fear this guy is it. My limited experience of this guy isn’t positive. For me it would be a big step down from Dean. be prepared to be disappointed then, because i cant see who ever follows hoyle being anything but a step down. Even if they establish us in the Premier League? That's a step up, isn't it?

So why does everyone else get away with it? Wolves and Bournemouth the most recent If we end up with some multi billionaire i hope he sticks two fingers up at FFP and spends silly money. We'd all enjoy the ride. They only get away with it if they get promoted. Have you not seen that Birmingham have been docked 9 points for breaching the spending rules? Fair point. Why haven't Derby, Wednesday, Forest, Leeds (again) etc been done then? It's a bullocks rule. Easy one to hide behind, though.

It's the disappointment of the commentators and pundits that get me. Like Leeds have a divine right to be winning and "returning" to the Premier League. Funny how life doesn't work out sometimes
Beyond that, I really don't get the wankfest over Leeds. When they play us it's their cup final, not ours. Act accordingly.

Maupay and Canos both look exactly the type of players we need next year. If we've learnt anything from the Premiership experience it is that we need to spend to challenge, no more cheap options please. Exactly. Lightening won't strike twice. Spend but spend it wisely. Or forget it.

having read some of the tripe you post. I wont bother listing all the clubs that have fallen foul of mega rich sugar daddies. You're quite capable of posting tripe yourself. This post for example. What about all the clubs that haven't fallen by the way side that have spent big because of sugar daddies?

I'm a Cremorne lad. Born and bred. I don't get up to Huddersfield much these days as no family left there. How many games do you get to? Not that many these days really. I go to mostly away days in London. Have friends in West London still so visit them so always good for a bit of a laugh seeing as I grew up in a massive Chelsea area. I only go to Town games in Huddersfield if a friend in Manchester is about then I head on over to there for the weekend post match.

Apologies if any of this has been posted before have not read the entire thread , but lots to worry and speculate about here a) Is the new prospective owner wealthier than Dean and willing to put the cash in to take us to the next level? I heard thats not the case, although i did hear they have been involved with the club previously ,which leads me to think they are in it to make money with the parachute payments, player sales etc. b) With a take over almost certain and not just rumour is it the case thats why very little was spent last summer holding on to the cash to make the business more saleable ? Isnt that what happens when there is a take over ? c) If the above is the case wouldnt we have been better investing and making a better go of it and securing our premiership status as a standpoint to negotiate from ? Rather than suffer a shambolic dogs dinner of a season ? You can’t simply just come along and throw shed loads of money at it anyway. FFP limits equity investment, it’s largely irrelevant if a new owner has £100m or £10bn that they don’t mind losing on a football club to fuel their ego. So why does everyone else get away with it? Wolves and Bournemouth the most recent If we end up with some multi billionaire i hope he sticks two fingers up at FFP and spends silly money. We'd all enjoy the ride.

What we need is Oti to predict them to go up, then we know the fuckers have got no chance. Thats Oti who hit 4 draws yesterday and pulled £2k. 23 winning years from 24. £140k profit the last two seasons. "Some people cant be told you know, they have to learn the hard way". Elvis Costello circa 1980. Just sport or currency movement as well?

Because Fulham are shit. So are Cardiff, so are Brighton, so are Burnley, so are Southampton, so are Newcastle. Is it really that difficult to be better than just 3 of them? I don't think so You're just making excuses for the shit show on offer. Total bollocks from start to finish this season. Such a tough league!!!!! Is it fuck. You should start looking at it sensibly, pal. So, you talk a sack full of nonsense and then tell me to look at it sensibly!? Yeah OK. Your only point is to simply say that 6 other teams are shit. You’ll need to do better than that. Not making excuses at all. I’m just pointing out that to state ‘it’s not difficult to stay in this league’ is fucking ludicrous. There, I’ve said it again! Good for you, mate. I'll totally disagree with you. Again.

I couldn't disagree with you more Because you’re not looking at it sensibly or realistically and instead you’re letting emotion take over. What is it Fulham have spent this season (on transfer fees alone? £100 million and they haven’t come close to staying up. Is it fuck. But why? All we had to do was be better than Fulham, Cardiff, Brighton. They're all absolutely shocking which says a lot about us. Southampton, Burnley, nothing special either. This is what fucking winds me up so much, it isn't difficult to stay in this league. Even the best of the rest, Wolves, Everton etc. They're not fucking great either. Fuck sake what a shit season A shit season it may have been but to state ‘it isn’t difficult to stay in this league’ is a fucking ludicrous statement. I couldn't disagree with you more
