Find it very strange that again another thread about Wednesday on a Huddersfield site about how we all think we are a big club. It was the same when you played Leeds almost word for word. The problem with you lot are that you have no real rivals and you don't have that much of a history. In my life time I've seen us play in three fa cup finals beat sheff utd at Wembley win a league cup and finish 3rd in the premier league. Let's face it you have no real rivals but are craving to be part of the big time. If we miss out this year then we try again but if you blow it then it's goodnight Vienna because wagner is off in the summer and it's only a matter of time before uncle dean has had enough of selling cheap tickets to force you to watch his team. Keep them coming though ... This will be my one and only reply to you. But the above epitomizes the level of arrogance and condescending attitude that unfortunately you see from too many owls fans, you really do think you are the best. I love the fact that you keep harping on that if we don't go up it is the end for us, Wagner leaving, players leaving etc, try looking at your own team, the millions on wages and transfers you have spent and you scrape into the play-offs, that is laughable. On a more serious note for you if you do fail then there are serious questions to be asked and addressed for your team and club, failure after failure for such a massive club  After it is all over we will both have a team to support and football to enjoy. Finally on a positive note if you did get back to your righteous place then at least you lot will no longer be on here! Every cloud has a silver lining Let's hope for whatever reason in a good way, it is Operationpig, over and out ! This will be my only reply to you...our rivals will always be sheff utd no one else, even Leeds doesn't mean that much to us but Hudders have just been like a Burnley or Bolton weather you like it or not that's it. As for the play offs I don't see this season as a failer for us if we don't go up even after failing last season because eventually it will come. If you guys miss out then I'd not be too confident about staying up next year in this league ! |

That's a point, don't know because I don't go on but I wonder how many Town fans are on Wednesday and Leeds forums for that matter?. Probably none but at least with Leeds we actually give a toss about them. This obsession from Wednesday has been going on for years. They must be loving it this week cos they've actually caught our attention. If you ask any Leeds fan they say that Huddersfield are obsessed with them and I now can see where they are coming from . Loads of town fans over on owlstalk telling us how we all think we are a big club etc. Think the fact that your only real rival is Halifax so you crave for a rival . Your like a bloke with no mates but want to be a mate with a more popular guy. |

If Wednesday came calling for him he would jump at it let's not kid ourselves on. Personally though I don't think wagners all that when it comes to having a plan b ...first part of the season you were an unknown quantity but towards the end you got found out a bit imo . Not saying he's a bad manager because I think he's done great but for me to judge him properly he'd have to go to a bigger club like Norwich Sunderland etc. Yeah your right how's CC done on a £600,000 wage bill per week Same points as Wagner managed. Maybe wagner can be offered some cash ? Or maybe he's doing a far better job than Carlos who's already failed in getting you promoted despite spending a fortune,Wagner on the other hand has worked wonders on a shoestring.So why aren't people banging the door down for your man? Carlos came last season and spent very little. Okay he's spent a bit this season mainly on Rhodes for 10m and reach but fletch cost zero winnall cost around 500k. Got us to the play off final against all odds and done the same again. Look at clubs like villa derby forest Norwich wolves ...nowhere near what Carlos has done. If he fails again we will want him to stay but if he gets the chop we will just find another decent manager. Fulham boss would be my choice. |

Nothing to do with our league meetings but I honestly like Huddersfield as a club and your fans seem decent and humble ... VERY different to the arrogance shown by Sheff Wed fans. Most Fulham fans will wish you well and hope to see you in the final. You're a proper club and have made these playoffs on a shoestring... Wagner looks a good manager. Hopefully you will prevail against a Wednesday side whos supporters have an astounding arrogance regarding their perceived size of club and wealth these days. All the best ... To be honest the fact that Wednesday can raise a crowd much bigger than their average, while Town possibly wont even reach their average would suggest Wednesday fans are part time while Huddersfield actually attend... We have a finite number of fans, less than either Sheffield club, but more than Burton. That is football, nothing to be embarassed or ashamed about, anone can claim to support Man Utd. We've average 27k this season with very high ticket prices, crowd restrictions meaning the current cspacity is around 33k it was just 30k till a few months ago. Look i know uncle dean has got you all in on the cheap yet again but there's no need to call us part timers when your gates from the past few seasons were ? We have fans all over the world coming for games like this so obviously the gate will be up ( we sold out in a few hours ) |

Come on Wednesday we are ready . Been to Sheffield Wednesday away a fair few times and it's basically a grotty morgue with a big fucking patchy lawn in the middle of it. With our form since we beat Reading (5 wins, 2 draws, 7 defeats) and our record against you this season plus your recent form and your vast choice of attacking options, nobody with any common sense will have Wednesday as underdogs. The only time you might be underdogs is if we win the first leg by 2 or 3 goals. No mind games Stev, your recent involvement in the play offs was against another sheffield side so you defo have the upper hand. Everyone else expects wedneaday but we all know with wagners resting policy that your players will be fresh . I just hope we make a good account of ourselves but I'm not expecting much tbf. |
