they said only 15000 would be sold at the reduced price and as they are still available they have clearly not hit 15000 - if they had they would have withdrawn the offer Marketing campaigns are not delivered under oath. Take what they "said" with a very large pinch of salt.

Whilst it might not be considered a hot spot (bloody cold more like), there's at least one sold 250 miles north of the top of that map And quite a few further South! Edit - just re-read that, 250 miles further North than the top of the map!

Just like the selling of players to raise funds and getting by with loans until we got rid of Powell and brought in Wagner. It's basic marketing and I bet they sold 15k ages ago, considering 11k (1k more than the original maximum) were sold in days before it was extended. They'll probably come out on 1st August and say wow we actually sold 17.5k and a lot of those came after the deadline was made public! We're so surprised!

The 15000 thing no longer stands and the chances are they sold 15000 ages ago. They deserve to have. I guess there will be quite a few games, wet tuesday nights versus Burton with 8inch of snow and ice on the ground etc, because the cost £8ish will be disposable to some if the team are not doing really well. Quite rightly it isnt that important and by keeping it quiet they are maintaining the interest levels over the summer. Anybody know how many advance tickets were sold for the brentford game? The wet tuesday night game against Burton in 8 inch of snow is an away fixture so won't affect season card fence-sitters.

The latest DH interview on the OS gives away some clues on how many we've sold, with DH saying it's set to break records.

It also indicated that ticket sales for Brentford will break records too.. Probably the most tickets sold for an opening league home fixture?

All other clubs do it.

I like it. We'll jump from about 22nd in the attendance tables to about 9th....and by association we will lose our "the likes of..." tag. We're an Ipswich now, not a Rotherham.

So lets say we sell 16,200+ (if its to be a record) and sell the south stand out 3,800+ to a fair few teams Villa, Newcastle, L666ds etc we're in for a few 20,000+ crowds

As DH stated on the radio, there are no freebies to boost the sales figures - like some clubs (sadford) offering up to 2 free kids tickets with every adult ticket sold. There will be plenty of school promotions etc on less attractive fixtures which will also boost attendances.

And to think people thought we were gonna struggle to sell 15000. I bet we sold 15000 over a month ago at these prices.

Are we going to have a swap shop for those who find themselves sat next to some 25 stone blubber , or some kids who poop all game...etc etc..

Might be worth giving it a few days, then drop them a line if nothing comes through.

I don't know whos in charge of the on line stadium map of empty seats, but they are making it very difficult to get any idea of where empty ones are. First the RW stand was all practically sold out, then a handfull suddenly appeared, then they turned grey, then the whole stand upper and lower were sold out, now theres about 150 appeared on the lower tier northern end.
the ideas a good one so why fanny about with it? If its available offer it for sale. If it isn;t available, don't.
