I was with the sponsors of yesterday's game and the question was asked of the sales team how many have we sold for next year it appears the club are keeping it close to their chest, but the general number that was mentioned on a few occasions was,14,000 with a few season card holders still to renew.

Sadford are a City with a bigger population than we have in our small Town. Why is it poor?

This comparison in season cards between us and manningham is ridiculous.
Manningham sold a fair few thousand flexi cards which no matter what way you look at it, it ain't a season card. It's just like a take 10. Every home game, Bradford count every type of card sold therefore their attendances look impressive when in reality they are around 12k most home games. We have 3 categories of season cards, that's it, cut and dry. 14k is impressive when we are 18th this season, 8 points from the drop and in for a tough run with a thread bare squad. Forget bradfords sexed up attendances, the only thing they should be credited for is the fact that they make football affordable for fans. Of the 18k cards they sold, they will have sold about as many if not less adult full season cards as we did. I went to MK Dons away and they claimed to have 9k in that ground. My fucking white arse they did, it was closer to 4K. Season card sales are fine, wait till the first game of next season before we judge eh.

Kirklees is hardly a small Town. Bradford didn`t sell anywhere near 18 thousand. Lots of free to kids & flexi tickets. We`ve sold over 14,000 and it`s only April which is excellent. We`ll shift plenty more before August.

Well it won't take long to sell the other 1000 if he club let fans know we have sold 14000?

14,000 is a lot, still time for more. I must buy a new flask and sandwich box for next season.

poor really when you consider Sadford sold 17,000 Sadford sold 14000 adult tickets at £150, gave away 2000 to under 11s and sold 2000 flexi tickets, so in reality we have already sold for money as many season tickets as they sold in the entire spring/summer. I thought we would have reached 15000 by now but if its true that we've got to 14000 already that is still pretty impressive.

We have over 150,000 people in the club`s database. Fair to say we have supporters further afield than Huddersfield.

The day after Town played Bolton at home in September I went to see Bradford City v Sheffield United. Needless to say SU had good support and the official crowd was just over 19k. If that was the true attendance then the capacity of Valley Parade (or whatever it's called) must be about 45k, not 25k! I reckon there was 12-13k there at most and I'm willing to bet nobody would take a bigger away support than SU this season.

What is 'over 14000' other than 'approaching 15000'? 93 is approaching 100, yes ??

I thought Huddersfield was the biggest town in England? No, but I think that this is Kirklees. It depends where you want to set the goalposts with this one.

Correct, but I don't think it's wrong to include Kirklees as a whole as Town's catchment area, plus parts of Calderdale, Bradford and Wakey. Town actually draw from a big area that is heavily urbanised - probably the equivalent of a decent-sized city. Trouble is, we have other teams quite close who draw support away from Town - I know loads of people born and bred in Hudds who support Leeds for example - and there's always the glory hunting Man Utd, Liverpool, etc fans. I think 14,000+ is very good this early after the cards were released. And if we top 15,000 that will be better still. Forget Bradford and Leeds and how many fans they get. Let's concentrate on ourselves, hope the cheap season cards plus the promise of entertaining footie entice the floaters back and tempt new fans. I'm looking forward to sitting in a reasonably full stadium next season and enjoying a far better atmosphere.

11th biggest. Reading, Northampton and Swindon are all bigger plus a few others Good old wicki quotes the last census figures stating hudds 164,000 & Reading 160,000. Hudds is not the biggest Town in the country. Kirklees is the biggest Metropolitan Council that is not a city. Hudds is about 10th I think. Luton is another town that's bigger I seem to remember. Then again, is size done on population or geographical size? And what counts as Hudds? As far out as Holme, Marsden and High Flatts? I always think of Hudds the town as where the old Huddersfield signs were when I was a kid - Milnsbridge, Mount, Ainley Top, Fixby, Bradley Bar, Bradley (Leeds Road on the border with Cooper Bridge), Fenay Bridge, etc. Anything out of those areas is IMO 'Greater Huddersfield' and anywhere in Calderdale and North Kirklees is not part of Huddersfield at all.

People shouldn't say, "I heard" or "I hear from a reliable source" or "I have inside information". Who have you heard this from? Who is your reliable source? Where gave you got this inside information from?
