Now I've seen Hull 2-0 up, I'm convinced they will go up. They're practically assured of a place in the final (as are Wednesday, no team has ever overturned a 2-0 deficit from the first leg of the play offs), I think they will be able to beat Wednesday at Wembley, they seem to know how to do the play offs. That said, the play offs are different and can be anybody's to win. Predictions for play offs (probably will get nowhere near): Hull Millwall Plymouth Grimsby Bradford overturned a 2 goal deficit v Blackpool many years back I think Yes, but this is a 3 goal deficit.

Perhaps the source that I got that from meant Championship play offs EDIT: Just seen MT's post.

I am stunned at that result. Thought derby had it in the bag.
Thought Hull were the weakest of the four as well.
Shocked.

Based on what we saw at the JSS a few weeks ago I wouldn't have bet brass buttons on Hull, but today they were superb. And never had to get out of second gear! Bizarre stat at HT - Hull had one shot on target but were 2-0 ahead! Took Derby until the 81st minute to muster a shot on target and that was from Butters.

Glad Derby got thrashed, thought they could buy way up. Still living in past from when Clough was there.

Before we played Hull I had them down as favourites as on paper they have easily the best team. Like you I didn't like what I saw and thought they were awful. I think they were in second gear and didn't really put the effort in. Now in the games that count they are putting in performances. The first goal game them a lot of confidence and they looked a lot better afterwards. Them v Wednesday will be a good final.

Why do I find it so difficult to hate Barnsley? For some reason I don't (the inbred b*stards!).

barnsley giving Walsall a pasting. Albeit on the back of a fair bit of luck.
They have already played and won at Wembley this season so will be difficult to beat.

hate forwards who cant be arsed to get back on side and try and join in with the second/third/twelfth phase of play..lazy bastard just like van nistelroy, who started this tactic.. lino, immediately asks ref if hooper touched it as he could not be sure, ref says no, lino tells ref that the little cheating bastard is offside.. officials working as a team, no guessing or going with the 'flow' right decision, rightly confered on and rightly given..lino then runs back to location that the little cheating bastard started at when he was orginally offside.. About sums it up. Most of the highlights do not show the proceeding 10 seconds where is so far offside nearly in the net.

Apart from wanting Accrington to get up after that last day hard luck story, and the Millwall degenerates to stay down cannot say I am that fussed.

Derby have spent £30million or so and still churn out dross like that. I'd much rather be a Town fan trying to do it the way we are What way is that then?
