fans love it when a new owner comes in and changes the clubs identity. Hey, whats tradition got to do with anything anyway when you can look like ipswich. here's forestieri modelling the new effort, presumably just before he fell over and waved an imaginary card at someone.  That is a seriously poor effort. Where's the identity? If I was a Wednesday fan I'd be mighty hacked off with that strip. Blue shorts as well! That's worse than any strip Town have ever had and I've seen both the plain blue efforts in the 60's and 70's. I'm not so sure.   |

You've got a point, I'd forgotten about that one, but at least it was still stripes! That was a time when plenty of clubs had atrocious looking strips. |

There was a time when Wednesday used to play in blue shirts with white sleeves, like Arsenal only blue. I was surprised when they turned up in stripes to copy us. They only played in that shirt from 1965 - 1972. I must admit I still think of that as their traditional shirt and think of Halifax and Oldham as being orange with blue shorts. Don't forget Town have has 2 spells in all blue shirts. |

If you were not having a glance at this site recently, you would have no way of knowing that Wednesday are being "slagged off" as you say. Personally, I go only on these message boards, so I am totally unaware of even the forum name, or more relevantly, what is being discussed on the Wednesday, Preston, Fulham, Forest, Ipswich boards. (You name the club other than Huddersfield, and I don't even think about it). So for these reasons, I declare bollocks. Good luck for the season. |
