Never mind the weight feel the noise. Having witnessed 4000 in the away at JSS, imagine what 40000 sounds like ! Great support you have to acknowledge.

Great support yesterday, glad they lost though. They made a real noise. My brother works in Sheffield and his boss is a Wednesday fan. He had a box there yesterday and my brother was giving him dogs abuse by text until he reminded him about his pay review this week. My brother has been conciliatory with his messages today. Mercenary bastard!!!!! Up the Town

I don't get all this praise for Wednesday's support at all. Yes, they turned up in large numbers and bounced around making noise while the scores were still level but the minute their team needed them the most, after conceding, they went quiet from what I could tell by TV coverage. Much like Derby fans at Town both this season and last.
I'd sooner have 20,000 fans who stick with their team until the very end than 40,000 who transfer their nerves and negativity on to the pitch when things are going against them.

As posted a week or two back, Wednesday averaged about 27000 in their last 5 seasons in the Prem. About the same as Norwich. And Norwich would get more if the ground held more. Are Norwich massive? Not really and neither are Wednesday.

It showed you on Sky when all the Dee Daa's were jumping up and down the sky camera's were shaking. When a Wednesday fan says there are massive, i know what they mean now.

Football brings out the tribal and prejudicial in me at this base and puerile level If it was Reading,in a football context, I would probably make comments about "plastic cockneys high on low grade Charlie" but I do have a good friend who lives in Caversham so there!!!!!

It's just a bit of a laugh. Lots are prejudiced against Bradford supporters be they fat, thin or normal shaped. Why should oversized Bradfordians or Sheffield ones be exempt?

Let's not forget the flip side of this though Reading T...
Had Wed won, this board would have had about 30 threads started by their supporters...
Football - if you want to 'give it' then you have to 'take it'...
