Delph, Fernando and Fernandinho are varying qualities of the same player. They are all runners who are alright alongside someone creative, but as a three? No thanks. Be like us playing Hogg, Whitehead and Keith Southern and then wondering why we didn't create much. Strange from a side managed by Pep. he thought navas, nolito and augero would be enough being backed up by a hard working 3 and both full backs supporting out wide.. I would probably have thought the same.. Being able to bring on 100 million worth of talent is a bit of a gift as well? the city team did work hard, really only aguero let him down..

I'm not a massive fan of the current Mooy chant so I thought I would put this forward as an alternative.
To the same tune as don't take me home that is sung at England games.
We've got Mooy, Aaron, Aaron Mooy I just don't think you understand He's a bald Aussie man, he's better than Zidane We've got we've got Aaron Mooy.
i would love this to be belted out by the NSL

"Dumping treasure in the swap". Yeah, cheers Paddy. These monthly stories written by his agent for the shackle dragged news agencies get more and more hyperbolic each time. Yes, he's good. Yes, he's improving. Just stop the hype and let's just see where he and we end up He'sright though, how many Aussies were on here and Twitter saying he's too good for the Championship? (After coming from the heights of the A-League) Were we not right? Seem to remember quite a few rusted on town fans echoing similar sentiments after a couple of games.

It was you're over hyping of the A-League (akin to League One) that was laughable

The standard of the a league bore no factor as to why I thought Mooy would do very well in the Championship.

I would have thought Mooy's success this year was massive endorsement of the A-League's quality. I've heard and read numerous people claiming Mooy is the best player in the Championship this year. May or may not be true but just the fact so many people are saying it tells you that he must be thereabouts.
What then does that say about the A-League?
Mooy didn't dominate games in the A-League any more than he dominates games in the Championship. He was (and is) a standout but it wasn't like a bunch of ten year olds playing against a 20 year old. There's plenty more like Mooy playing a good standard of football, and because it's (necessarily) a salary capped league there's plenty more that would jump at the chance to play in a higher paid league.
Lots of value in Oz right now...although I shouldn't be telling you that.

It's finding the right players, and that's where Webber has done a very good job for us so far.
He's currently in Spain isn't he? I wonder who he's scouting.

Bit tricky with the current visa rules as they need to have broken through into the national team. Mooy has an EU passport.

I guess not if Davidson is included. Mooy has created some good momentum for Aussies playing for Town.

Not sure about too many Aussies on Mooy's level, but there's a top player in the UAE - Omar Abdulrahman - who'd be a terrific replacement (although most likely completely out of our price range).

We have players from all over the world in the UK, I'd be amazed if a Commonwealth country had it hardest of all.

It's true - any non-European player (Commonwealth or not) has to have played a certain percentage of games for their national team over a certain period to be eligible for a work permit in the UK. I guess to make sure that if they're taking European jobs its because they're of extraordinary ability.

Town need to take an automatic promotion spot otherwise all the hard work will end up being decided in a play off lottery.

How did Mooy Play against Reading?? great win...i can feel that town are going up Cheers from AUS Reading did a job on him, gave him no space to work in and closed him down anytime he got near the ball. That was the best any team has done against him this season, he still played some nice passes but didn't have as much influence as usual.

Greatly amused me that the sponsors gave him man of the match for the umpteenth time given a poor game by his standards...it's like all the sponsors this season have been Aussies
