Can you only buy one ticket at a time? So if I'm a 'Terriers on Tour' member and want to buy 8 tickets I presume all 8 people will need to be members too? I'd assume so.

It's just BLACKMAIL, no other word for it really.. I was just in the process of joining the B&W foundation, but that's gone out the window now. So I'll shell my £20 out for this scheme, and hopefully a few thousand more won't, or we'll all be back at square one for the Newcastle tickets..Whatever happened to queuing up at the stadium at crack of dawn on a rainy morning.. Plus, what's to say if it proves really popular, they won't introduce a "terriers on tour" premium members (£30) in the near future..

If everyone keeps cancelling their B and W foundation I might just join. Got a better chance of winning that £20,000!

Doesn't take a lot for some fans to turn on the Club does it. Funny, because I was just thinking the opposite. It doesn't take a lot for the club to turn on some fans either..

Looks a good scheme to me, don't get the issue. If only a couple of thousand take it up, it's a good scheme.. If say six thousand take it up, it's a shot scheme for the fans, but a nice little earner for the club.. I wonder if they'll keep us updated on how many have taken it up?,I think not..

There are other benefits of being in the B&W though like lottery/mascot/canalside.....so imo this is a cheaper alternative for those fans just wanting priority for away tickets...! Where they have got it wrong is in the timing as this should have been announced with season tickets to prevent people signing up to B&W just for priority tickets for the big away games leading to them feeling ripped off...! I cancelled my B&WF membership when the kids became too old to be mascots. When I called up to cancel I was told that they hadn't been on the list anyway, and since they weren't on the list did I still want to cancel. !!! (difficult to complain since I'd had £400, a box, and a hospitality plus award player of month champagne to Gary Roberts thing out of them over the 3 years or so!)

We just about mustered 6,000 season ticket holders last season so I doubt we'll have 6,000 paying into this scheme. I can't recall us selling out an away match all last season, Hull City came close but even then I don't think we took a full allocation.

Twenty quid because someone didn't think about the 6p (prior planning prevents piss poor performance) - sadly it doesn't impact me being a USA exile (yep having to google every week to see if someone is streaming live) but that doesn't mean I believe the club have made a good call and marketed it correctly and timely. Why change? Give priority to the season ticket holding B&W / Patron members in place as at 1/5/16 & before and give second priority to those ST holders joining on 2/5/16 or later. If too many for allocation then it would have to be first come first served.
This is not a new problem and perhaps research on how premiership clubs deal with it may have been advantageous?

Bringing in a host of potentially exciting new players, and charging £199 for admission to every home league game, plus priority for away game tickets is turning on the fans?

I guess it's another way of giving priority to those who go away regularly but can't necessarily afford the cost of a year long BWF membership or Patrons membership. Not the worst idea in the world. If we are in the top 3 by Christmas might be a big queue for our allocation!

No, it gives priority to those who DONT necessarily go to more away games. A season ticket holder could spend his £20 on this, and ONLY go to Newcastle, Villa and Leeds away games all season, which he'd be in the queue for AHEAD of a B&W or Patron, and ahead of a regular season ticket holder who has gone to 20 other away games all season. It's naughty. I also suspect it's pretty pointless, and no away trip will sell out before hitting general sale all season long. Newcastle or Villa MIGHT have done, if they were after the holiday season. Disagree, I think Newcastle and Villa will sell out rapidly, time will tell though

Hardly ripping fans off, more like taking money out of their own pockets - BWF. Not very well thought out.

Looks a good scheme to me, don't get the issue. Disagree. Think it's poorly thought through as per. Folk will have been joining the b&w in decent numbers, including your old bird on here, only to be ditching it straight away now. £20 one off or £9 a month. The cheaper option gets you higher up the pecking order. Strange. I know you get other benefits with the b&w but still, it seems that they are shooting themselves in the foot.

Am I reading this right - any one of the 15,000 or so Season Ticket Holders who join the scheme will have priority over Patrons & B & W members who dont join the scheme.

You could have been a Patron or b&w member for eons too, but you have to shuffle behind someone who stumps up twenty quid.

I'll second that. Not 'turning on the club' at all. Shelling out over a hundred quid with the promise of priority ticketing then within days shoved down the pecking order isn't on Mr Winter..

Newcastle 3,000 allocation - middle of summer holidays might sell out, but doubt it. Villa 3,000 allocation - tues night immediately after Newcastle , no way we'll sell out Burton 1,800 allocation cold Dec tues night just before Christmas - no way we'll sell out.
Can't think of any other potential sell outs.
Biggest problem for Club is people stopping paying £104 pa to B&W foundation and buying £20 away card instead.

I have been a patron for many years mainly as I enjoy the trips they do. I have nothing against a away ticket priority scheme but surely they should have split the scheme into two parts -1st priority those with b and w or patrons as X season card holders then 2nd priority season card holders who re not. I think most would be happy with that - now all they are going to get is people cancelling b and w and joining this scheme which is cheaper

There'll always be those who complain that it's costing you £20 before you can start to buy away tickets but I reckon it's a good idea and worth it to scramble ahead of people like me(!) who are Patrons and B&W Foundation. There are many fans who support away and aren't in those categories, so I think it's good. Its not only 20 quid if you go as a family of four.

Doesn't take a lot for some fans to turn on the Club does it. Well, I hardly ever criticise the club, but this is just a shit idea. I go to at least 10 away games a season & always buy the tickets at Town, so they've got my purchasing record, plus that of everybody else who does the same thing. Point is, they know who regularly go to away matches & it is those who should be prioritised. Seems like a cynical attempt to rip people off who regularly go away to me. I've been in the B&W for donkeys' years primarily to get away tickets. What incentive is their to being in both schemes? If I don't get Newcastle or Villa tickets, the B&W will be cancelled immediately.

The main reason I used to get a season ticket was for away priority, so £199 for a season ticket with away priveleges is still incredible value!
However.....
I have never understood why they don't just put a mark on the database when you get an away ticket, and those with the most in the past calendar year get the first dibs. Even when buying multiple tickets you could surely nominate who the other tickets are for easily enough?
I know there is a flaw with people paying on the day, but there is always the option to buy in advance and if people knew priorities worked in this way then it would be their choice to make.
Schemes like this mean that fans who already fork out the most on the club by travelling away reguarlarly are hit by yet another cost. Away tickets should be prioritised by loyalty, not disposable income.
