So why the silence between signing the Leeds contract and the Brentford game? Because they knew we were getting the short end of the straw and they knew we wouldn't like it! All that 'we treasure you Town fans and we wanted to serve you best' is utter bollocks... and they know it! Only become aware of this situation via Town Friends and this developing thread last few days. Whilst it does not affect me, hard to believe that any of the higher ups at HTFC were unaware of this and I too would be aggrieved at not being able to listen to midweek distant away games and after match analysis en route home from games. Their silence before the Brentford game has proved to be deafening.

At least you well get decent coverage on Sept 10th. Surely anyone not at the match be they Town or Leeds will tune into DAB over FM? I've heard the sound is so crystal clear you can actually "hear" the tears as they start to well up in Noel Whelan's eye's "Getttt Innnn!"

How can Town not know when gareth Jones assured us RL had consulted with them ...? oh....they consulted with us as well...
You can bet when the sh*t hits the fan over this Jones will say " there's been a misunderstanding...." . toad.

Although I'd still be pissed off , I could understand to an extent FM Leeds AM Bradford and dab town .. Leeds are obviously going to be FM then they could argue it's a toss up .. but when Leeds aren't playing to then give Bradford FM and AM is just bizarre .. the FM slot is the desired channel .. when Leeds aren't on it should be one club have FM and the other club have AM AND DAB When us and City are at home Leeds are away and vice versa. So why not have the furthest away game on FM, the nearer one on AM and whoever is at home gets DAB. Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Their coverage of Leeds is frankly embarrassing. Celebrate ever goal like they`ve won the world cup. Win 2 games in a row & it`s premier league here we come. "Get in" - LOL. Very partisan I grant you, but that's the way (aha-aha) we like it .....come across as though they really give a shit, like the most passionate fans in the stands, just how radio coverage should be ( hopefully our players new and old will take that on board as well sooner rather than later) They mostly come across like they've never been to a football match before and don't really understand the game! (although obviously this isn't true, I suspect it's just that they're a bit dumb)

Wouldn't it make complete sense to have the furthest game on DAB and Freeview? Especially if it's out of the Radio Leeds area. Folk going to the game won't be able to get reception anyway and the majority will be at home with a telly and or a dab radio? The two home or closest games folk will be able to pick up before and after. Or am I being a bit simple?

Is it true that Kieren O Reagan left Radio Leeds because DAB doesn't support his high pitched squeals when things are going badly?

The fairest way here is indeed to share it out, but the FM commentary should never carry commentary of a West Yorkshire team at home (unless none of the teams are away on that day of course). FM should, in my opinion be used as away coverage as this would serve more listeners surely. When we're at home, I think it's fair to expect those that really want to have coverage are actually at the game. DAB and AM should be used for coverage of the teams who are at home and rotated accordingly. I suspect this whole farce will be something to do with how much it's cost the BBC to cover the games of the three clubs and we'll have got the least money from it (ie Leeds and Bradford will have held out for more money than us in the negotiations for broadcast). Can't help but feel sorry for Oggy in all of this, he is town through and through and easily the best commentator on the station. The comments from the sports editor are poor really. As for the pre and post match coverage, just go back to everyone joining up as one at 2pm half time and 5pm and just split off for kick off, it's always funny to hear other fans moaning when they've lost again!

I've just been and bought a DAB radio for the away games. Bit disappointing knowing the chances of hearing the post match interviews after the game in the car are zilch, and I'm thirty quid down to to hear away matchs.

You know full well that the one time we go to Leeds as favourites we'll get turned over I much prefer going there expecting a spanking and then anything we do get is a bonus

i have DAB but now i will refuse to listen. Good for you, me too! I hope everyone does the same, whether they have DAB or not, it's the disrespect of the loyal HTAFC listeners & the down right arrogance shown by that prick Jones to my fellow town supporters that's really got my back up! I urge all fans not to tune in tonight & not to take part in any phone ins.. If you're on twitter bombard their feed with #boycottradioleeds #nolongerwelcome #sackgarethjones Each to their own I suppose, but it would show we won't take this laying down atleased!

I wonder if Town got tucked up here. Three teams into two frequencies doesn't go. Leeds will always get a FM/AM slot so I wonder if in their contract with RL Bradford had the foresight to add a FM/AM term
