Ok, Clearly it's an important part of the match for some. As, has been pointed out, for me it doesn't apply. My catchup on the goals, opinions, whether it's a penalty or not, what pundits said etc etc is via DATM. As you can imagine, I'm often no wiser, as just like the pundits there's rarely a 100% consensus of opinion.

Just had the same response as others, I wont listen anymore. Shame really have always enjoyed tuning after games/when unable to attend. This has confirmed the bias against us from radio leeds, I'm still disgusted from that interview they did with Dean I think just after he gave the job to Powel, got the feeling then that they was trying to provoke his discontent.........its about time we gave them the middle finger.

Sounds like I've also received the same response. The bit that annoys me most is where it's saying they have three teams to cover... on Saturday they didn't and on many other occasions only one or two will be kicking off at the same time. What happens when Town have a game and the other two don't - are we still on DAB??
Complete joke.
Fairest way is to rotate it.

Not going to hold my breath but just tweeted this to RL @wysdaily any chance, instead of lying and patronising us, you can just admit you couldn't give a toss about @htafcdotcom and their fans Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards Well, good luck with THAT one!

Next time Jones, Hannah or Pope rock up at Canalside to do an interview with Wagner or any of the players,I hope we kick them off the premises, tossers. If you look at the wording in point 3 of Gareth Jones copy and paste response, the club also agree that DAB is what we want: We have consulted with many Huddersfield fans and the club itself on this issue and the response was clear – Huddersfield fans would prefer DAB to AM.
I mentioned further down the thread that Town are aware of the issue and we're talking to RL about it

All they need to do is have pre and post match joint coverage on FM and MW, at least it's better than nothing.

I mentioned further down the thread that Town are aware of the issue and we're talking to RL about it It does make you wonder what kind of shit for brains actually thought this idea up. OOOh just remembered something. On twiter when the Beeb were plugging themselves about having coverage of various teams, when it came to plugging HTFC they never gave a frequency for the coverage. Now that itself should have seen alarm bells ringing in hindsight. I bet that's their excuse for 'consultation'.... BBC transparency at its finest.

I mentioned further down the thread that Town are aware of the issue and we're talking to RL about it Sorry Newmillterrier, I must have missed that posting. From doing a quick search on twitter it would seem quite a few fans have questioned WYS daily about this since Saturday and SMJ has responded in one tweet saying the Marcomms lads are talking to RL and looking for an explanation. That would suggest to me that the club were not at all aware about the shunt onto DAB (or it could just be that SMJ isn't in the loop on it).

Was it 'consulted' at one of the ATT meetings then ? Otherwise, where, when and how....

Dear Gareth If, as you say, DAB radio is so all-singing, all-dancingly brilliant, why aren't you using it to broadcast your beloved Leeds United? Hmmmmmm ... And why weren't you shouting it from the rooftops, weeks BEFORE the Brentford game, that we were going to be on DAB, if all us Town fans were going to be so thrilled by it (as your extensive research had told you)? Because they only signed the Leeds contract the week before the season started. And (presumably) because Leeds know they have something that local BBC needs, they make demands and get commitments whilst Town probably play like nice boys as we always seem to do with media and police or whatever.

Why don't you just buy him town player ? From the car coming back from games? Don't all cars have internet radios nowadays?! Mine does. (Town Player only plays the actual match commentary)

From the car coming back from games? Don't all cars have internet radios nowadays?! Mine does. (Town Player only plays the actual match commentary) I have a small DAB pocket radio and it works on speaker or ear pieces - battery life is very good. Bought it about 3 years ago for about £60. I listen to TMS on my journeys to and from Scotland no problem - never lose the reception. Well worth the money. The only problem I have with with the reception is when I'm on a train journey as I lose the signal going through cuttings. Off on one now. For abroad I take a small SW radio (Roberts). I remember just about getting the football results on World Service in deepest darkest Tibet about the time that Town went down from the Championship 2001. The radio faded out during a critical reading of the last weekend's results, but thought that they must be safe, only to find they'd got relegated when I returned to Katmandu 3 weeks later.

It clearly appears the club were unaware. I think they need to start exploring alternatives although I imagine that will be for next season now

At least you well get decent coverage on Sept 10th. Their coverage of Leeds is frankly embarrassing. Celebrate ever goal like they`ve won the world cup. Win 2 games in a row & it`s premier league here we come. "Get in" - LOL.

Very partisan I grant you, but that's the way (aha-aha) we like it .....come across as though they really give a shit, like the most passionate fans in the stands, just how radio coverage should be ( hopefully our players new and old will take that on board as well sooner rather than later)

Meant the match itself, although for those who can't go guess it will be the broadcasting equivalent of being sat bang in the middle of the Leeds South Stand / Revie Stand. At least you will only destroy your own house/ ornaments / furniture having a mental when you most probably score

All that 'we treasure you Town fans and we wanted to serve you best' is utter bollocks... and they know it!

Only become aware of this situation via Town Friends and this developing thread last few days. Whilst it does not affect me, hard to believe that any of the higher ups at HTFC were unaware of this and I too would be aggrieved at not being able to listen to midweek distant away games and after match analysis en route home from games.

Although I'd still be pissed off , I could understand to an extent FM Leeds AM Bradford and dab town .. Leeds are obviously going to be FM then they could argue it's a toss up .. but when Leeds aren't playing to then give Bradford FM and AM is just bizarre .. the FM slot is the desired channel .. when Leeds aren't on it should be one club have FM and the other club have AM AND DAB
